Everything here is average in terms of food, service, ambience etc. I've tried Dasarang's food about five times or more, and the quality seems pretty consistent but it's not something that makes me return or recommend to someone else. I usually come here because there are not so many options for fried chicken nearby.
Anyways, if you...

I give the food 5 stars because the sauce for their signature chicken is divine and the batter is the right amount. I give the service 2 stars. exceptionally slow. but, the food is worth the wait. there were a lot of people eating here. if time is not an issue, I highly recommend eating here.
I've been to this restaurant a couple years back and it used to be one of the best joint to get Korean fried chicken. I returned to this place just a month ago with my friend, and it was quite disappointing.
We ordered half original fried chicken and half covered in sauce.
The batter was not at all crispy. It had nothing of the characteristics of that wavy, extra crunchy, Korean style chicken...

The search continues for good korean fried chicken in the Lower Mainland. This can be a good spot for big parties. Just make sure you reserve ahead of time.
Portion size is small. It looks big because it comes on a big plate but most of the chicken pieces are bones or the fried batter covered with sauce. Precious little meat. For $20, I can get almost 8 lbs of chicken at Superstore. Here, for...

Pretty tasty chickens & other dishes.
The actual food is somewhat less than the image on the menu but still filling. On the salty side.
Their extreme down-side is that the servers barely come around and you have to wait forever for something. Some of them would stand around the counter and chitchat. Still friendly though when serving.
Summary : Mostly Korean fast food, and mostly delicious fried chicken :)
I was promised a Korean dinner by one of my Korean accomplices, and it so happened that he chose Dasarang Chicken as the venue for the dinner-that was-promised (Song of Ice and Fire reference!!) We were served a complimentary chopped cabbage salad, that came with a savory sauce ~ never knew that chopped cabbage could...

Until yesterday, I was merely aware that there was such a thing as Korean fried chicken. Now, from one bite of the stuff, I am hopelessly hooked. I don't know how to describe the flavour, except to say there was a pleasant tang to the crust and I love it.
I just happened to be in the area, working up an appetite exploring the parks and winding trails around Lougheed/Burquitlam, when I got a...

My favourite chicken place
I am not a huge fan of fried chicken, but this place is different. Everything taste fresh and "wholesome", no food coma after! Highly recommended
[Korean Fried Chicken]
Some friends had wanted to go for a fried chicken lunch - Korean style. I had no idea what to expect but I hadn't had an artery-clogging meal in almost 2 weeks so I went along with it. The place looked like a Korean version of Nandos, but full service. Despite the fact it was 2pm, the place was pretty busy.
I left the ordering upto the others since there was way too...

A fun place to hangout with friends if you guys want to enjoy beer and chicken without going all the way to Korean part of Robson Downtown. Typical korean chicken + beer place. Lots of people on the weekend (noisy but fun), more casual on weekdays with a few customers here and there.
Be advised that on weekends there could be a slight lineup.
Delicious chicken and I recommend the Korean Soy...

Good place to try korean fried chicken if you haven't tried it before. It tastes similar to chicken karaage at a Japanese restaurant. Fun and casual environment. Food is a bit pricey. Comes with free salad and pickled radish. They have Granville Brewery beer on tap. House glass is good size. The tuna Kim chi with steamed tofu was pretty good and unique. They have half and half fried chicken... more
This place is just okay. Food is mediocre at best and service is lacking.
I ordered the half and half (half fried chicken and half yangnyeom chicken with special house sauce). I also ordered a plate of small fried fish (something along a smelt or whitebait). I was excited to try both dishes. The half & half looked great and actually tasted good. The meat was tender and well marinated. But...

Was here last night with a group of friends for chicken and beer.
Got to the place at like 8pm and they said it was an hr wait for a table of 8. We were seated after 20 mins which wasn't bad at all even though we were super hungry.
We sat down and they gave us our menus which was awesome but no water until like 20 mins later. Keep in mind that it was pretty hot inside with no AC.
We order 3...

Not bad but I've had much better Korean. The flavours do not seem authentic (unless they use tomato ketchup as a sauce in Korea)
I absolutely loved this place! Korean fried chicken? Yes. Super yes. I had the green onion chicken which was fantastic! The price was not bad considering the huge portions. I recommend splitting with a friend or two because the plate is so large. I was super pleased with the dish. It was very crispy and was just simply perfection. Service was pretty quick and restaurant was fair size. I will... more
We went for the fried chicken, but were very disappointed. The house special sweet sauce wasn't to our taste (it was a bit reminiscent of candied haws and citrus peel...which was odd). Moreover, the pieces were butchered haphazardly. On a large plate, there were 2 chicken wings. Everything else was shards of bone or joints with some meat, and lots of batter.
Korean. Fried. Chicken. Oh my goodness, I love me some Korean fried chicken. I recently went to this place on a busy Friday night with some friends, group of 7 of us. They were very accommodating and the chicken was gooood. Kinda pricey for it being chicken but portions were large enough to share with a large group. Also, they serve Granville Island beer, mmm try the honey lager.
So far best Korean style fried chicken in Vancouver. Not only I love their simple boneless chicken but the Green onion chicken (pa-dak) was GREAT!
My friends and I am big fans of this place!
I've only been to this place a few times but so far I'm a fan. They have the BEST fried chicken EVER. I have also tried the sweet & sour and the extra spicy chicken, but the crispy fried is just so good I fantasize whenever I am craving something greasy to eat.
The staff and service is good, fast and friendly even on a busy night (The place gets packed on Friday/ Saturday nights). They have...

This is once of those things you crave suddenly one day while at the gym... And you kind of deserve it after that intense cardio training.
Korean deep fried chicken, it honestly doesn't get any better than that. There are a large assortment of chicken cuts and flavors you can choose from - everything from just a simple batter and deep fried to the more elaborate spicy flavors of Korea.

I loooove Korean chicken...and this place has great chicken!
The crispy, deep fried skin, covered in delicious, hot and sweet sauce...oh gawd, my mouth is drooling again. Please excuse me while I go wipe my mouth.
And the pieces of the chicken are HUGE. They're not your everyday-chicken-wing-size...oh no...they're HUGE.
The pickled radish goes well with this dish too. Yummm.
Food- okay, not impressed... to be honest bit too salty
Service- it was very busy, so I waited for a long time for the take out...more than 40 min.
a bit disappointed... =(
Pretty much what i expected w/ this Asian twist of fried chicken but have to say, I appreciate this underrated deep fried category lol. Fritou's, Church's, it's all good!
As pics suggest, I tried too many so got a bit confused but the Hsawal with its tangy/sweet/spicy is definitely one i try again.
Oddly enough, the best dish of the nite was the fish cake tofu soup; healthy, crisp, cooked...

Food - 3/5: I had the plain fried chicken (fantastic!), saucy chicken (pretty good, a little too sweet for my taste), plus the squid and rice (squid was overcooked).
Service - 3/5: The restaurant wasn't too busy when we were there so there was just one server on the floor. Food came within a reasonable amount of time. Server struggled with English.
Value - 3/5: Great lunch specials ($7.95 to...

Came here after noticing it was full.
Parking here is ample in front, as this is a strip mall.
The Engrish on the walls and menus are somewhat amusing. Fortunately, there are nice colourful pictures on the menus, and a nice large poster as you walk in.
The place was pretty lively, filled with groups chilling over wings and beer. Kinda like Wings, but with Koreans instead of Westerners.

I have to admit that I found the chicken that we ordered to be way over the top sweet.
The noodles and chicken are really good, but the service is not so good. I don't really enjoy being rushed and then having to wait forever for service. It does't make much sense. Overall, it kind of reads that you don't really want me there, so even though you have decent food, I should probably spend my money elsewhere... more

Some things just don't translate well. Things such as the menu of this Korean chicken hof chain.
This is a fairly modern looking and very clean restaurant, with all the markings of a franchise chain.
The walls are covered with various company slogans and random bits of English writing. The tabletop reminds you exactly where you are, just in case you...

Best chicken i've ever tasted!!!!!!!!
Awesome service and the interior is very clean.
Recently opened. Suppose to be a new franchise chicken restaurant from Korea. I know this restaurant was a success in Korea. The overall interior design is clean but their prices for fried chicken are at least $15 for a dish. Since recently opened, they were only accepting cash, but no radish or pickles :/ The food was.... TOO SALTY especially Yangnyeom chicken was too salty and too spicy like... more
