It meets our family needs

We have been going to the Sportsplex since it opened nearly 30 years ago. During that time they have made several changes/renovations with more to come in the future. For us we have used the gym, track, fitness rooms, pool & spa, and have attended numerous events. For us it meets our needs.

What A Spot

We were given passes to the pool as our hotel's outdoor pool wasn't open for the season yet. Our family of six visited the complex twice over the weekend and had a ball.
We had been here a year ago for a hockey tournament but had never used the pool. We spent an hour and a half in the water...

A Bit Dated
May 24, 2014This city owned/run facility is a bit dated to say the least... could be kept cleaner as well. The carpets in the weight room area only holds more germs I would think! Hopefully they will give the outside roof area a fresh coat of paint soon as for many years it has actually been an eyesore to those travelling across... more

April 28, 2014We were here for a dance competition. The facility is ok, very dated & I did not find the facilities clean, but it is slated for a $2M update, that should help. If you are there for any sort of "event", ie: hockey, dance, etc., the parking is not ample, beware.

Lots to do

Lots to do here. For the kids, the swimming pool is, with its Pirate's Cove slide is great. There's a kids pool, regular pool and jacuzzi. Plus there is a rink for skating, racquet ball courts, cardio room and weight room. There are rooms for functions and meetings as we'll.

Lots to do
December 19, 2013The size of the building is perfect for watching local hockey and it offers a good selection of other sport and activities. The location is great with adequate parking and next to a major bus terminal. The building is slightly aged but well maintained. The staff is well trained and knowledgeable. The pool is popular for booking parties and gatherings.

November 05, 2013The Dartmouth Sportsplex is a very busy spot and well attended. There is lots of parking and the staff are very motivated in initiating you to their facility. Good facility, very dated -- but great future plans

I've gone to the sportsplex for several years now. The pool is great (prefer Cole Harbour's layout though, and lighting), the arena and
(new) track are great. The gym's a good size, with a good variety of equiptment. The whole place is very dated (granted, it's a big space), but they've great plans for new renos for the next few...

Dartmouth Sportsplex
March 10, 2010My kids have been swimming and skating here since they were babies. the staff are super frinedly and helpful. The facility could use a bit of an upgrade, it is looking a bit dated. They do have some really good cardio equipment (no other facility in the city has it). They also have TRX trainers and Equalizers- they are very forward in their thining but could use a half decent cable machine.
