Darcy's has been known by locals for years as a favourite place to grab a bite, drink and listen to amazing live local music.
Sit on our beautiful sun drenched harbour front patio durring the warm months and soak up the rays.
The chef has created our menu with tourists and locals in mind. Delicious fish & chips, house made burgers, pork tacos and fresh salads are just some of the...

Nice drinks selection and some amazing dishes. Their smoked salmon flatbread was to die for. Wait staff was stretched a bit thin, but they were very nice.
If someone does not have their piece of ID (especially if they clearly look over 20), be professional about it when explaining the policy. Very rude staff! There are many great pubs near by this one is not on that list.
Had lunch here on our walk along Warf St...sounded appealing.
Had a Cosmo and that was pretty good. We both ordered the STEAK SANDWHICH. Mine was NOT med rare as requested which was annoying but the flavor of the beef with the garlic toast, sautéed mushrooms & fried onion straws were a perfect match!! The fries on the other hand tasted home made and I can't stand that style. Similar to White...

Did not like the layout for the dance floor and seating. Good wait staff walking around to get more drinks for you though.
Went in sat down told you must be 19 to eat here (was with daughter) I'm fine with that, but when I asked where the waitress would reconmend she said "their lots of food around here" rudely.
Three reasons why I am giving Darcy's one star:
1. Rude and slow waitstaff
2. Anti-foreigner (we are American)
3. Unwilling to accommodate us watching the Kentucky Derby
From the very beginning this dining experience left us wanting more. We asked the manager about watching the Kentucky Derby and his response was "I don't know if we are going to have it on..." Then our waitress acted like she...

I really enjoyed my lunch there. I had the Quinoa and Shrimp Salad. The portion was more than generous. I loved the brightness and the wonderful view of the water. Great place to chill after walking around downtown. The server was cheerful and seemed to really enjoy her job.
Stopped here thirsty and hungry after a long walk and left very satisfied. The pub is in a great spot overlooking the harbour, although unfortunately there is a road disrupting the view a little.
The place was pretty quiet for a Sunday lunchtime, but I imagine it's a great spot in the evenings - they have live music 7 days a week. The beer selection was great, and only around $6 for a pint. It...

Was on the island visiting with the fam and remembered thus place from when it was still called Darcy Mcgees a million years ago but I digress.....
It was mid afternoon on Saturday and the bf and I wandered in for lunch before checking out the BC Museum - and Darcy's did not disappoint! I had the pulled pork with regular fries and Michael had the chicken and guac wrap with the beer battered...

Every time I have been in here it has been great (3 times, two different Victoria trips). The last time, we went in late afternoon and we shared some nacho's and a flight of beer and a pitcher of Sangira. Customer service was great, our waitress told us if we wanted more cheese on the nacho's she would be happy to take it back and add more. Me, my boyfriend and the cheese had a great time.
The only thing holding me back from giving five stars is that there's a $5 entrance fee on a Friday night. It's a pub, not a club.
A regular-priced jug/pitcher is $19, which is great. It serves about 6 pints. On Friday, they ran a special on a couple of the jugs (house brews), but $19 is cheap enough anyway.
We didn't try any of the food, so keep that in mind with this review.

We had a blast. The beer by the pitcher is delicious. The view AMAZING. The service as great. I can't complain. I enjoyed this place A to Z.
Darcy's Pub takes pub food to the next level. I fully recommend the pulled pork sandwich, it is amazing. A great beer selection with lots of local beers on tap. The staff are all very friendly, and very knowledgeable of the city's many tourist destinations. They have a beautiful patio overlooking the water, which is gorgeous on a sunny day. Oh, and live music seven nights a week! And all the... more
The only good thing about this place was the free wi-fi. The poutine needed gravy, the service was subpar, and the rest of the food was not great. They did have a hot guy waiter though. He wasn't my waiter, but he was there.
Darcy's has a full bar, and that includes wine, beer, and cider, among other beverages. They also serve food. Pub food is sometimes heavy and greasy, but not at Darcy's It was great food. I had a dinner size salad made with spinach, pistaccios, fresn strawberries, feta, tiny slices of green apple, and a vinegarette. Fabulous. My husband had a... more
We landed at Darcy's on the first hot sunny day this spring. The patio was perfect to catch some rays while enjoying a cocktail. The beer and drink specials are unbeatable and so is the location! My favourite meal was definitely the Salmon & Chips! The batter mix included dill and the fries were delicious! The atmosphere is chill and fun on the weekends, and it's a great place for after work drinks and dinner!

Darcy's should be ashamed...with an Irish name you'd think they'd have Irish music playing on St. Paddy's Day (NOT!)...and the "Irish" stew was nothing more than a bowl of watery gravy! I won't be back. Tanks fer nothin'!
Victoria has a number of good pubs. This one falls among te god ones. The beer list is acceptable while the food is a little upscale with some god variety and good presentation. Good view of the Johnson Street Bridge area.
I wasn't expecting much to be honest. This place has always seemed like it was just built for tourists who enjoy eating meat things and watching sports in a sporty environment. And that's fine if you're one of those people. I am not.
We decided our last beer of the weekend would be here. Apparently it was a superbowl day, but we managed to get in and out before the superfans showed up and...

I don't know how to say this amusingly-enough: they can't even make a Somersby right.
Well, that aside: the poutine is horrid. Seasoned, undercooked fries in awful gravy with inferior cheese curds. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Unless you want to hit on tourists, I guess.
I had the burger on a gluten-free bun. Unlike most GF buns, this was a pretzel-type bun that was almost too good to be gluten-free! They do have a variety of gluten-free options, if you ask your server. They used to have a separate GF menu but now it's all on one.
The burgers are obviously made by hand in...

So lovely. For my birthday, my 86 year old father and I went to Victoria. He'd never been and had come out to Seattle to visit me. We took a day trip to Victoria. The service wasn't fast, but it was attentive and being right on the water was lovely. We sort of... more
I've never paid a door/cover charge to go to a "pub" We were there 90 minutes before the scheduled band and were told the cover charge was for the band. Awesome patio. Lots of seating. Beautiful view. The only major problem is that the menu seems to be going up in price every time we visit.
Darcy's is worth a visit if you are in Victoria and in the mood for a pub. There are a couple of better pubs, but Darcy's is still a good place. Good selection of beer and the mixed drinks are poured fairly. Food was quite good and they have a few interesting items (the coconut-curry-lentil bean soup is a good example). The atmosphere is a bit more party-rock-n-roll than it is pub. Service was... more
Stopped in again for a visit to one of our favorite stops in Victoria (we travel here often). Last few time have tried to get in for appies and a beer. This time menu has changed. I visited Darcy's a number of times whilst in Victoria. The location is good and if your sat outside you can look down onto the water and watch the planes taking off. My wife was in the mood for an burger for lunch. A shop owner suggested Darcy's. The burger was great. Came with pickle, tomato, lettuce, and onion. We both have small Cesar Salad. The meal tasted wonderful. It over looks the harbor and has indoor and outdoor dining. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive without over doing it
We stopped in Victoria on a cruise ship and didn't have much time to do anything except dinner and exploring downtown. It was a charming stop and one of the cruise staff recommended Darcy's. Pretty standard pub, nothing special. Waited outside for 15 minutes for a menu or server. Wasps aplenty, then it started to rain so we went inside where we were ignored for another 10 minutes so we left.
Enjoyed a great dinner here in Sept 2013 - a couple of ciders on tap to start off followed by a spicey and tasty jumbalia, some lovely home made soup and scrumptious vegetable chips. All up under $40 and in a great setting by the water with quick and friendly service - could not have asked for a more relaxed... more
I'd love to have been able to taste the food here but they totally ignored my husband and I when we tried to dine there. The server walked right past us several times and didn't even look at us. After 10 minutes of that we got up to leave and she sweetly asked us, "you're leaving??"
They weren't busy, maybe 40% capacity at most. There was no excuse for this poor level of service.
Had a great time at Darcy's. Big space with lots of different types of seating. Relaxed atmosphere, huge nachos and excellent range of beer. Sharp service too. Relax and enjoy.
Looking for pub fare in the Inner Harbor? This restaurant serves great food. The chef uses the freshest ingredients, cooks salmon to perfection and serves decadent fries. The side salad is a great complement to any meal. It serves the IPA 2012 Beer of the Year and it deserves the award. The young servers are professional and very helpful. There... more
Our food was fantastic! My boyfriend and I watched the sunset while thoroughly enjoying the Quinoa salad and pizza with prawns. YUM.
It was kind of crowded/noisy (because it was nice Saturday night) and service was pretty standard. Drinks were standard, too. It's the food that really impressed us.
stopped in for a few beers, the patio was nice, there was a band playing beside the patio, very good, had some dip which was tasty. The waitresses are friendly and nice, the view of the oceon is amazing.
Great food, great service, and overall a great experience. I would eat here again in a heartbeat! We sat outside and there was live music right there between Darcy's Pub and the local. Couldn't have been better.
My only complaint is that they should have more beers/drinks on special.
Had lunch at Darcy's on a busy Saturday afternoon in downtown Victoria...our experience was a pretty mixed bag - really good food - pretty sketchy wait service - very loud music blaring on the outdoor speakers (no conversations to be had that day!)...prices were reasonable. I'll let you decide if you go there!
My wife and I ate lunch at Darcy's on a Monday. We both enjoyed the vegetable chips appetizer. I very much enjoyed the tasty hot rice bowl from the luncheon menu ($10) and my wife enjoyed quinoa salad also from the luncheon menu ($10). They have one and only one desert and we both enjoyed it.

We had a lovely lunch at Darcy's Pub. The HouseBurger was cooked just right and the cajun jerk chicken wrap had just the perfect amount of bite. Friendly, attentive staff and reasonable price made this a great lunch stop in Victoria.
We have been to this pub on many occasions and we had been there last November and it was like night and day from before. We went on the weekend of the Deuce Hot Rod show in the inner harbour so we thought we wouldn't find a table but we managed to snag one on the patio. It took some... more

Service was good, and the beer flight (tasting) was perfect. We ordered two salads and a specialty pizza. All were very tasty, and the salads were fresh. Overall a fine choice if your a visitor in the area.
Nothing to write home about..just ok. Standard bar fare. Service was a little slow, but they were really busy as it was a gorgeous night and there was a cruise ship in port. Worth a shot if you're looking for a bar or outside area to dine.
Good menu choices -Tuna terriaki and then a rack of ribs WOW !
A board sampler of local beers a must. Only dislike was the t.v. screens, but theyr'e everywhere!
We seated ourselves inside (as the front door sign says) the patio was packed, but inside was not. For almost 10 minutes we sat there and watched all the wait staff pass us by; not one acknowledged us. The staff had time to chat with one another but couldn't be bothered to come and even give us menus. We left... more
The pulled pork sandwich has a fantastic Cole slaw in it, the pork is very well done with a nice sauce. The accompanying beef vegetable soup was also very nice, with quenua and lots of beef and veggies. Nice surprise.
Everything was good as always although I would turn down the music a bit for my deft ears and I would love to find some happy hour prices.
That said, they have a nice selection of beer and music at night, a good atmosphere.
Excellent meal, great service. We stopped by for a quick meal before continuing our vacation and had a great meal, cajun fish tacos (actually an appetizer) with a local ale.
Great selection of local beers, decent food, great service, and a nice location by the water.
A great pub with a beautiful view of the harbor. The sun shines directly on this pub and is the perfect spot if you are looking for a patio of that kind. We had the fish and chips and while the fish was great the fries were less desirable as they felt a bit stale. Either way we were mainly... more

Didn't eat here, just a stop over with a few friends to taste the local brews. Very noisy bar. Staff are friendly. Brews are expensive. Locals are rude. I guess some places don't appreciate tourists.
After reading a review about the fish and chips at Darcys I was looking forward to having some. I love fish and chips but the one I ordered at Darcys was disappointing. The music here was fantastic. It definitely felt aimed toward the 20-something crowd, but the crowd was somewhat diverse. I felt like we were only charged a cover on a Wednesday night because we were clearly tourists part of a larger group. The drink were priced fairly, and service was good. I liked their selection as well.
Very good location across from the harbour! They have lots of local beers on tap, and they offered advice on what they felt were the ones to try! We enjoyed chicken wings and chicken quesadilla which were both very good! Try to go early as the patio fills up quickly!
Nothing like your own pitcher of Long Island Ice Tea at Darcys. Friendly wait staff and prompt service. If you're from The States, take note the number of shots is limited to a couple ounces in Victoria. Regardless, you will not go thirsty. Friend had mixed greens salad she was raving about days later. Fun atmosphere with several big screens.... more
This is a pretty cool little pub down by the water. The service was good, and we ate dinner there. The food was pretty good for pub food! We enjoyed everything about it really. They have live music after 10:00pm, but we didn't stay that late, so I can't comment on how that is. Worth a stop if you're looking for a relaxed, cool place for dinner and drinks.
Cute place with live music. Excellent for a Saturday night on the town! Line ups weren't too long of a wait. Busy but it didn't feel cramped. Will definalty go back. :)
Enjoyed this place very much. It was loud and packed to the brim, but the servers still managed to wade through the crowds for above-average bar service. The drinks were a little on the pricey side, but well made. The live music was a nice background. Note that there is cover after 10.
I actually want to give this place a 4 1/2, but since half stars aren't allowed on Yelp (which is always a bane) I'm settling for 4, because 5 would suggest it's like, the best eh-var, and there's always room for improvement.
I had the chicken and brie sandwich, de-lowww-shious. Order it. My hub had pulled pork, he begrudgingly gave me a bite, it was also awesome.

We ended up eating lunch on Darcy's patio at first because Local (next door) had a 20 min wait and a snotty hostess. Darcy's had a spot on the patio by the railing so we could tie our dog up and sit next to her. It seemed to be the place to be if you're lunching with your dog as... more
Had the fish and chips and a local beer for lunch. Nice casual place. Good staff. They play rock and roll music from my generation, so I got to tap my feet a bit. It was enjoyable and I will return.
Location great, service great, food (especially the cod and chips) was excellent. Got exactly what I was hoping for right down to the reasonable price.
We stopped in to Darcy's pub while on a cruise ship stopover. The atmosphere feels like an English pub. The owner and staff were helpful and friendly. In fact, when we asked for the location of another pub, they didn't bat an eye. They recommended an oyster bar a few blocks away when we asked about raw oyster. We ended up going to the oyster bar for a snack and then returning to Darcy's for... more
Overall great bar, came here once at night for a live band, just expect to not be able to talk it is extremely loud when they are playing. Then sat on the patio one Saturday over looking the boats coming and going. Prices are about average for victoria 6-10 bucks a drink depending what you're drinking.
Varied menu features a lot of local ingredients. Excellent selection of beer. Friendly service. Great food!
Has a wonderful flavor and good portion. Fries were good too. Service was very friendly and attentive
This is the place to be on a Saturday evening in Victoria! I came late afternoon but enjoyed the scene that I stayed several hours and tried a few of their beers on tap. Lunched here after whale tour. View is the best thing but combine food, beer, service, and beer... Pretty nice.
Love this Patio overlooking Inner Harbor, the waitresses are efficient and super friendly. I am a beer and Caesar salad kinda guy. The Rolling Rock ion tap is the way I roll accompanied by their Caesar is a great way to end a bike ride. So I am lucky to have found Darcy's close to the Galloping Goose Trail.
I came here last night since I was jonesing for some live music post Skafest and post dinner. We were given this recommendation by the locals, so we came on over and decided to partake in some drinks and the live music. Like any other bar or pub, it was pretty standard. Place was great. Good food, great local micro brew selection, and good service. I don't understand why anyone would call this a "dive" bar... If you think this is a dive bar, you've clearly never been to a real dive bar before.

I've been sitting on this review for about a year. It's been saved and I stare at it not knowing what to write. It makes me angry.
I usually make notes in my saved drafts as to what I want to talk about but all I have is "The girls". So I guess that's the big selling point. "The girls" are smoking hot and know a lot about beer. So that probably adds to the hot-o-meter.
