Old Asian mall in Burnaby very close to Metrotown. Aesthetically not appealing but enough for me to keep coming back for Xiao long bao. I seriously love those buns and I think the cheapest yet best Xlb I found were located inside this mall. Shanghai dim sum is where it's at.

I typically come here to eat my own food from home after working out at a nearby gym. While there are signs saying that outside food isn't allowed in the food court, it's probably during peak hours since I haven't been given any trouble when I eat my own food.

Of the times I bought from their vendors, the food has been just okay. Nothing outstanding but it definitely helped satisfy my hunger.... more

1) Don't try to park there. I never have, but have heard horror stories, and you can scroll through the Yelp reviews to read more. Take transit or park nearby and walk over.

Four stars mostly for the food court, because non of the small shops appealed to me. When you walk in, thers an overwhelming smell Chinese herbal medicine, produce, and meat. The food specialties include spicy dumplings and shaved ice.

This review is mainly on the food court. They have so many choices, there's something for everyone. We love the Xiao long bao, Roasted pork and Hand-pulled noodles. Decent mall and have some pretty good restaurants in crystal mall of just around there. A decent chines restaurant in crystal mall that's located upstairs. Not a big mall but so have some options and walking distance to bus stops.

This is a very Chinese mall and most shops have their prices or promotions and information in the Chinese language. Good luck if you cannot read it.

I have not really walked throughout the entire mall as it seemed to be in a circular shape and could be confusing. Take a picture of where you parked your car or where you exited/entered.

I've been a frequent shopper at Crystal Mall and personally find it CM is perfect place for veggies /meats.

I bought pork belly here for twice already and the price is definetely cheaper than T&T. It costs about $4.59 per lb and the amount I bought was more than a kg (my total was $12.50). And pork belly was actually good just that I have to cut them on my own.

This shopping center is overrated with small bargain stores downstairs and a foodcourt on the second floor with questionable quality food. If you're driving here, you can park at the Metropolis for free. A visit to the foodcourt is like taking a trip down memory lane; the place is reminiscent of Chinese street vendor food, cheap, tasty, and suspicious ingredients.

I've been to some badly designed parking lots, and even cramped little places in Europe, but even they weren't as badly laid-out as the parking lot at Crystal Mall. I ended up bumping a very strangely-placed pillar while backing out. Thankfully, the damage was minimal.

Mall with the worse parking lot in BC. It might be worse parking lot in North America and even the whole world. Its not the way the people park that makes it the worse, its the design of the parking lot that makes it horrible. This place is awesome. The bubble tea in the food court area is good. They offer aloe and other unique ingredients. But the highlight is the hand pulled noodle restaurant. You can watch the owners making it in front of you. One pile of dough is pulled and pulled until 10 minutes later it becomes noodles. This place is quite huge.

Parking your car can be challenging and confusing at first. The mall itself is designed in a round shape and this has affected the parking lot. My parents had a lot of fun here. It reminded them of their days living in Taiwan. I thought this plaza was okay, though it was much different than the markets I've been to in Los Angeles. The food court is a foodie's paradise. Notables include Want Want's Lambs skewers/burgers, Xu's, Hauxi Noodle Specialist, Delicious BBQ, Fung May's stone bowls.

The market downstairs is pretty awesome too. Beware the asian moms fighting for cheap produce. Pine House Bakery also has some great deals on packaged buns in the front. Check em out!

Options at the food court used to be plenty when it first opened. These days it's mainly 90% from Mainland China and Hong Kong.

Busiest time is between 12 and 2pm. Finding a free table is like trying to park your vehicle at their circular parking garage - mission impossible. This is even worse on weekends if there are special events happening, which takes away 25% of tables.

This mall have the worst parking.. You have to go around in circle.

Do not even bother with P1, continue down to P2 and lower and you have a better chance for easier parking. Once you get into the mall, remember which side you are on.

Your typical Asian mall. Come here all the time to pick up grocery for the week. If you have to park here don't park in the basement. Whoever designed the parking must be shot. Horrible just horrible. Park on the street if you can.
