A New York style dining lounge with an internationally inspired menu.
Easy parking, always table avail. Easy modern decor. Sandwiches and burgers good... Dig the yam fries with flexible good choice of other sides! Like the burger, chicken club, Montreal. Entres could be better. Very disappointed in ribs, bison tenderloin Entrees.
First off, the service...we walked in and were told to wait just a second as the host/waitress ran off to the back of the house. She never did return, so we seated ourselves. After waiting 15 minutes, we were finally able to place a drink order. It wasn't until 20 minutes later that we were able to order food. When our food arrived (and this goes for all four of us), it was luke warm and had... more
Crush is an interesting establishment on 12 Avenue right across the street from Meineke. Interesting because it has a modern almost club-like look, but it feels more like a pub. I sat at the bar on Saturday night around 11:00pm and there were not many people here. I don't know why because I thought it was a fine place. My drink and meal consisted of a Brew Brothers Black Pilsner and the... more
I went to crush with some friends, a first for all of us. We just loved it. Food, service, the whole night was just delightful. Oh Yummy !
5 stars for Crush? Hellz yeah! This place just got better after my Saturday night dinner there with my best friend's mom. She was staying with me this weekend for a course and we headed to Crush on Saturday night for something close by and still yummy. The special on Saturday right now is 1/2 price burgers if you order a drink. Well, who's going to say no to a drink on a Saturday? (Note: Not... more
I usually go to Crush a few times a year, and admittedly, what I enjoy most about Crush is the ambiance. It is never empty... it is rarely packed, and it is hard to not relax in its atmosphere. The colors are dark and rich and the dim lights just make you want to chill out and hang. Also, they sell my FAVORITE wine by the glass.... J. Lohr Seven Oakes. Its a fairly popular wine, but for... more
My two friends and I went to Crush for a few drinks despite what I've heard about this lounge. I was expecting rude servers and slow service, but I got the exact opposite. Our server was very humorous and we got our drinks and appetizers in no time.I would definitely come back, their calamari was excellent.
Went out for dinner tonight at Crush with a couple of friends. Hadn't heard much about the place but It exceeded all of our expectations. Server was so delightful and incredibly helpful suggesting what to get from the menu. Everything she suggested was right on the money. We started off with Edamame beans and Wontons then we had the cobb salad which had an unbelievable fresh lime/ honey... more
I had a living social coupon. So my friends and i went down to crush. It was great, our time was really enjoyable, tasty ,a nice menu. Staff was friendly. Now i have a new place to add to my "dinner spots".
Located downtown, this sleek pub like restaurant looks like a great place for a club. I was there in the early afternoon so it was pretty much dead. The food is decent. Typical pub fare... more
Went to Crush for a friends birthday and there was NOTHING positive about the experience. Our server was rude and seemed inconvenienced to be serving us (seems to be a lot of those in this city!). Despite the place being pretty much empty (there were 3 or 4 other tables of 2-4 people) we waited over an hour for our food. When we did get it, the salads were very disappointing with hardly... more
Lord give me strength......the hamburgers are to simply die for!*swoons*I just recently moved downtown and this place is a block from my apartment so a friend and I decided to stop by for lunch after a full previous night of tequila *shudder*. We both ordered a Crush Grilled Burger each. You can add mushrooms, avocado, onions and/or your favorite cheese. It comes with a side of fries,... more
I ordered pickup. The food was ready in about 15 mins! I am sure it would have been plated nicely. Very modern/edgy decor, clean & crisp. I believe I dealt with Brad, the owner? Very on top of things. The crush burger was very good, as were the yam fries! Nice touch. Pulled pork a bit spicey for Me. A large slice of Chocolate cake. I will order again. =)
Decent food, decent service, but somehow missing the mark a bit. I went here because of a LivingSocial deal. Twice. The second time we went, the service was great. She knew we were new customers (because she asked), which I liked. As a marketing-type person, I like when I can see people are trying to measure their results. All in all, I don't really have a specific complaint, but I probably... more
The service was great here when I dropped by in the evening, and the atmosphere casual. There were TVs all over the place, making it ideal to catch a game. When I went last, I couldn't help but chuckle at the music selections; it seemed like they weren't playing anything that was released later than 1990. Combined with the food offerings, it made it really difficult for me to nail down the theme... more
Service was hard to find at times, but friendly and helpful when at the table. The food looked great and was quite tasty! Good house brew too.
The service is good. I stopped here briefly for a Yelp social event. The atmosphere is relaxed. I felt at home. I was here so briefly that I can't comment on the food or drinks. I think that since Yelp hosted an event here it must be worthy trying. The servers were super friendly and came to the table often. I can only comment on the service at this time.
Good food, great service. Our server was Selene I think and she did a great job, Calamri was ok, pizzas were great so was the wine
My partner and I went to Crush on a Tuesday evening. I have been to crush many times before for their great Martinis (only $8.00 for 2 oz) and I love their pulled pork sandwich (has a good bite to it). This Tuesday though I thought I'd try something different. We ordered their potstickers for an appt. They were great - no complaints here. Then, it took almost another 30 minutes to bring us our... more
A little Beltline secret. The beer is good, and comes quickly. The decor and food is very nice, but because it is off te beaten track, nobody really seems to know about it.
Casual and cool. Overall pretty yummy food (the Club Sandwich is a winner). They consistently have slow service, so just be ready for that.
I've been here twice, both times for a work lunch, and I'll definitely say that it's alright. This would be a prime candidate for an option between "I like it" and "I don't". The service is usually pretty decent, but the food is where it falls a little flat. When you're looking for somewhere to go in the beltline area and you've exhausted some of your usual tasty hot spots, try Crush out. You... more
I have been here numerous times but the last time will be my last. Usually great food but this time the iced tea was virtually water with brown food colouring and then they gave me the wrong type of sandwich. I didn't bother complaining so just left early
Nolan’s 27th Birthday was this past Monday March 8th. I had secretly planned him a surprise birthday party at Crush with his friends and family. Well not so much of a surprise because he... more
I took my partner to Crush for his birthday. We had always thought the name was a little hilarious and hoped the food would make up for such a silly name. It didn't. Nor did the atmosphere. We walked in with noone to assist us. There was a lack of atmosphere, and at one point i commented that it was as sparse as a college bar. The service was decent, except that there was noone else in the... more
it was okay we went here for a staff party the appitizers were great! the curry fries were so awsome!the menu doesn't have very much items i got the montreal smoked sandwich it was okay the could of toases the bread which would taste better and there was too much saurkreut in the sandwich, i think i would of have a better time if i ordered something diffrentthe place look great i would like to... more
Had a great time with friends. Stylish yet comfortable decor, and tasty food. The Crush pizza was delicious, and my wife loved her Cobb salad. The apple pie was delightful, but not nearly as big as we were led to believe. Probably just as well for my waistline, but not as much to share as we had hoped. There are several other things on the menu I want to try, so I'll be back.
Crush has, simply put, perhaps the best steak sandwich in the city. The burger promoted by a street sign out front is good, but the steak sandwich is probably the best I've ever had. The meat itself is cooked perfectly to order, not ruined (read: over-cooked) like thin cuts tend to be. I also recommend the fish and chips (w/ malt vinegar of course) and any of their really tasty pizzas such as... more
Great place but I'm getting bored of the menu. And this is only my 4th time here. Needs it's next update.
A great place, with good food that's consistent and fresh. Great martinis too!
