We visited parks like for the first time this past weekend. Had no idea of where to go to eat. We were driving around town when we saw signs for it! Highly recommend it! It's a great place right on the water. Watch the tide come in and all the fishing boats. Atmosphere was fantastic, there was a live band... more
Went here with my wife, actually looking for the pub at French Creek. This is located in the Marina area, so lots of boats to look at, and fantastic views of snow-capped mountains. The pub is on the ground floor, and did not appeal. There was an open patio upstairs, which turned out to be the Restaurant. There was only... more
Date night in Parksville. What a disappointment! We waited forever for our meal to arrive - she had Chicken Supreme, I had the Prime Rib Special. Nothing out of the ordinary in our order. The wine came quickly but the it was 45 minutes before the food got there and they were not busy - we were the only guests... more
Took our Mother for dinner to celebrate her 80th birthday, 12 of us in total plus a toddler. The service was excellent, friendly and prompt. The ambience was very relaxing, we truly enjoyed the guitarist playing quietly in the background. Not one of us could have found a complaint with our dinner if we tried, the meal was delicious and... more
The food was delicious, my cesear was perfect and the service was fantastic. We sat outside and had the most beautiful view of the ocean and marina.
We enjoyed our many visits in this restaurant under a previous owner and loved this place . We went there regularly with our family. We are seafood and Greek food lovers This lovely spot has been purchased recently and the fine quality has been maintained with a few changes to the advantage of this fine restaurant. We dined on our... more
Just had the 6 oz. Prime Rib Dinner with horseradish/garlic mashed potatoes, carrots, broccoli and Yorkshire pudding. The Prime Rib was excellent! The mashed potatoes were very good and you could not tell there was horseradish in them. Tasty. I would go again, especially for the Prime Rib.
Went on Saturday night. The place was virtually empty. The waitress was the highlight of the night - friendly, fun, helpful. Ordered the special - prime ribs and Yorkshire puddings. The beef was 25% gristle, and less than three quarters of the beef was edible, but I can deal with that. It was the Yorkshire pudding that was like cardboard,... more
We had read some reviews so we were apprehensive until someone told us that it was under new management or ownership. We sat on the patio and the view was great, inside looked very nice and well planned layout. The food was very good, arrived in good time and the portions were also good. All four of us were happy... more
Attention: New Owners & Chef
We took our grandson out for dinner 2 weeks ago...a Friday evening. My husband ordered the Prime Rib, our grandson a burger and fries and I had the Greek chicken souvlaki dinner. Prime Rib ordered medium...tasty but over done and very skimpy on the veggies. I guess when ordering Greek food one should go to...

We stumbled across this restaurant, booked a table then read the reviews, to be honest we nearly cancelled but were very glad that we didn't. We had a very good meal, my husband and I both choosing fish and our adult son the ribs. The waitress was extremely pleasant and the service was fine. Overall a lovely experience, with a... more
Beautiful view. Thats about all this restaurant has to offer.
The young waitress that served us was pleasant enough but very inexperienced. Our whole family (7) were disappointed with their meals. I ordered a 6oz. strip loin steak (medium) that looked like it had been run over by Mac Truck and was delivered well done... like in over done. My...

The Greek-food Creek House had been closed for almost one year. It reopened this year April (2012) with new ownership and a new menu -no Greek food. It specializes in prime rib, steaks and seafood (from the nearby fresh food packer). The ambiance is good and the views marvellous. We had fresh sockeye fillet and they were wonderful. Prices are... more
We've been here at least 5 times (pub and restaurant) and, each time, come away underwhelmed. It's the location that draws us back; "let's have a wander around French Creek harbour and check out the fresh fish available there..." I think/hope that after 5 disappointing visits to this restaurant we'll have learned our lesson: not again!
It's such a shame...

I've been a couple of times to watch UFC fights.
The food is nice, with plenty of tvs to watch the sport. The staff were all they usualy restaurant friendly. Pleasant but not engaging.
My burger was great, and the chips and wings were good too. My only gripe is with the nachos. I'm used to getting nachos with minced...

With a view to die for overlooking the French Creek Marina, this place should be ashamed to call itself a restaurant. First clue should have been walking in on a Friday night with only 6 tables occupied. Our young waitress, though pleasant, was totally inexperienced,ie. the difference between a salad fork and a dinner fork. Pre dinner drinks ordered ,... more
I was hoping for something really special for Sunday Brunch -- seafood benedict with an ocean view. On the plus side, I was given a window table with the expected view, and my server was polite and friendly. The combination of spinach, bay shrimp, and smoked salmon under poached eggs was promising. Sadly, the restaurant doesn't quite measure up. Glasses... more
Welcome to poorly maintained 1970's decor and shockingly careless management. We came for lunch and found the shabby dining room half full with a frantic staff of THREE trying to placate table after table with, "I'm so sorry but your order is going to take up to 45 minutes, blah, blah." This is on Canada Day weekend: wouldn't you want... more
We dined at this restaurant over 10 years ago and recently returned to try it again. It is just how we remembered it. The view of the ocean and marina is charming but the food was tops! We ordered the seafood platter for two and were not disappointed! The freshest crab, halibut, salmon, shrimp and deep fried oysters, served with... more
We had a compliment of 18 people for dinner on August 3 2009 .It was a birthday dinner for 2 of us.The young lady serving us was great but the food was attrocious. We found that the quality and quantity of the food was certainly lacking. I had "Fanny Bay Oysters".They were obviously deep fried and were party raw in the... more
My family and I just returned from the Creek House restaurant and it was almost laughable. Thinking this would be a fresh seafood feast, we had all been looking forward to some seafood right off the boat. My wife ordered the calamari which turned out to be tough and extremely small. More tentacles than body and the Greek salad was... more
There is quite a combination of seafood and Greek items on the menu. We had two seafood items for lunch, both good, but not outstanding. The Chef's trio was a bit heavy on the batter.
It was midweek, and off-season, so staffing was a bit of a problem, and service was not fast. It is a difficult time for management....
