Courtyard Cafe in Qualicum Beach
July 05, 2014I have been to the Courtyard Cafe quite a few times, usually for coffee. The patio is lovely, the coffee is excellent and there is a good variety of muffins, tarts cakes etc to go with it. The service is extremely friendly and prompt.

Not very good
May 13, 2014The place looks old and tired and is in need of a redo! The food was very bad.We asked if everything was made from scratch and they said yes but while we were there a sales man took a order for all kinds of pre-made products.The crepes were not very good at all. Disappointed and Gouged

Despite good reviews, we were disappointed with our lunch here.
Two turkey sandwiches with very little meat; bitter cranberry sauce
Side salad which was a handful of mesclun mix - not one other vegetable

Awesome gluten free spot
February 06, 2014Had soup and crêpes and both were so good! Actually so good that we ordered seconds. We are both very restricted with our diets and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend it!

Good baking
October 24, 2013We occasionally drop by for coffee and some in house baking. I like the courtyard out back for fresh air. After a group walk the inside feel much too warm due to the baking, Parts of the cafe are too cluttered with old tea cups and things. I can recommend the baked goods but this is not my first choice... more

Merle does the baking and Peter schmoozes with the customers while keeping the coffee flowing and taking the orders. Gluten free baking is a specialty. The Gentleman (maybe the owner) was great, one of my relatives had food allergies, he advised her not to worry they could accommodate her and cook a special meal.
