Avoid this hotel in Tremblant, there are much much better options for the price in the village. The 4 season spa was closed at the time of my visit but there was nothing to that effect on their web site. The room I was given did not smell fresh, beds, furniture, decoration, bathroom would be ok for a roadside motel,... more
I thought the room / view was excellent liked location and parking of the hotel. Was thrilled to be upgraded. Felt stay exceeded expectations except 2 points: one in a town with great food, why was breakfast that pathetic? Two, there was damage to an inner door that a hotel manager accused me of causing. Why not just ask me... more
My family stayed for five nights and this is the second year we stayed in the same hotel. The reason why we choose this hotel is the complimentary breakfast and close proximity to the cabriolet. The breakfast has gone down as compared to last year. It is a typical continental breakfast that include coffee/tea/juice/toast/cereal/ham/egg/yogurt/cheese/mix fruits. Bagel only available on alternate... more
Stayed here in during the February half term break. Hotel very busy but the staff coped well. Excellent location for the cabriolet and you could ski back. Room a good size, bathroom adequate. Good to have an ice machine perfect for our gin and tonic before venturing out for dinner. Breakfast was busy, sometimes just managing to get a table... more
Second time staying (stayed last year), so we knew what we were getting ourselves into. Not that it was bad last year, but we didn't expect 200$+ accommodations.
We had a single bedroom on the top floor with full kitchen. Everything was great, clean, all we needed for 3 days. Breakfast selection has gone down compared to last year, but...

Pros:

Above average breakfast
Spacious room set up
Great price for the room through a package deal.
Thanks to Chris at the front desk for help a check in.
Convenient parking lot.
Clean.
Cons:
Heating in room was problematic - either too hot or too cold.
Service was not consistent at the front desks - sometimes staff were...

We are just leaving the hotel today. Throughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff. Breakfast quite filling. Would definitely come back. Booked a queen room and was very happy with the size. WiFi Was excellent. Needs a little updating but was pleasantly surprise after reading some of the reviews.
We stayed 4 nights during the President's Day weekend in February and we enjoyed our stay a lot (despite the fright temp :))
We had a big unit, a separate bedroom with 2 double beds and a living room/kitchen room with pullout sofa, a fire place, and fully equipped kitchenette.
The breakfast, included in the room price, was decent, nothing...

Stayed 3 nights at the Le Kandahar. Overall Nice Hotel. Great locations, steps to shops and the gondola to the slopes. Breakfast was good- bagels, fruit, yogurt, cheese, ham, cereal, etc. great coffee! Rooms were spacious, clean. Only downfall is that the hotel looks like it needs some major redecorating. Looks like it has not been renovated since the 90's.... more
stayed 3 nights for conference
Perfectly situated next to the ski lift Cabriolet, which offer spectacular views of the resort.
Accommodations were spacious, neat, well kept and room offered resort view.
Continental Breakfast next to lobby, with basic offerings, coffee, juices, fruits, yogurts, toast bagels etc.
Village is walking distance with plenty of restaurants, bars, retail shops to browse...

Me and my sister went for a little getaway the end of January 2014. When we arrived the service was excellent, with the main room and lounge area sporting a rustic feel.
We had a nice room with a queen bed, pullout and little kitchenette- dishes, cutlery, microwave, toaster, fridge and sink.
The breakfast in the morning was a "cold...

We stayed three nights just before Christmas for some skiing and relaxation. The one bedroom suite, with full kitchen, was more than adequate. The gas fireplace heated the room up nicely after a cold day of skiing (this is Tremblant of course). Having a double door to the suite meant we didn't hear any sounds from the hallway. our unit... more
Could not be in a better location. Friendly staff always willing to help. Excellent value for money. Would go again and again.
Wonderfull location in the heart of The Village. Good value clean and comfortable rooms and nothing to complain about. This will b my third stay at kandahar . Just get off the phone (set up my next trip for Christmas) and again I am amazed by the customer service that I have received from MARIE-J. .This girl is wonderfull!!!!. Can't wait... more
After a recent weekend getaway at Le Kandahar, I felt compelled to write a review after years of reading reviews on this site (for this, and other hotels/resorts) by individuals who either: complain about everything; or, are impossible to satisfy.
Le Kandahar came as advertised. Clean, comfortable rooms; incredible location in the heart of the Mont Tremblant resort; and, great...

Location was good, price was reasonable with parkng, wifi and breakfast included, staff was friendly. However room had some smell and we had to keep windows open and fans on, breakfast was very basic.
Stayed 8/15/2013 to 8/19/2013 Ironman Event
We stayed in a one-bedroom condo with kitchen
Since we were driving in, I called the hotel to check on kitchen supplies. I specifically asked if there were baking dishes and the answer I got was: the kitchen is "complete" with all you need. Upon arriving and checking the kitchen supplies, there wasn't a...

We are staying at le Kandahar for the Ironman. We arrived at the hotel at 11:30 am but our rooms were not available. Right at start of village in Mont Tremblant, you can walk or take the gondola outside your door. Older hotel has seen better days, however great for the price. Cleaning staff lacks as I had to clean the bathroom myself as no one showed up when we called to notify the front desk. As well the continental breakfast, which is... more
Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. When arrived upgraded to suite - loads of space - had a pull out couch - but way too uncomfortable when pulled out! Breakfast was included and was very busy. We stayed at the hotel the weekend of June 29-30th. Unfortunately, it rained but we had fun anyway. Breakfast consisted of bagels, waffles, hard-boiled eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt,... more
Location is everything when you want ski in ski out on the hill! A short 30 second walk to the bottom of the cabriolet, which takes you to the gondola.

The service was very friendly, the location was great your literally footsteps from a gondolla. The atmosphere of the village is OK. I mean besides having a terrible nightlife the food was god awful. The hotel is in a good location in Mont Tremblant but first view of reception is a little discouraging being somewhat dull and uninviting and the dining room is also rather uninviting with plastic-top tables squeezed close together. Can't beat the location. Close walk to lifts. Good breakfast, pleasant staff, underground parking, ski lockers. Hot tub is way too small. Rooms a bit dated. No sound proofing between rooms. Overall, a good value- more like a holiday inn than a ski resort.
The location of Le Kandahar can not be beat. Two minute walk to the gondola to the base lodge. Also on the plus side is that the (included) breakfast is great for a free breakfast, and the front desk staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
On the downside, if you are a light sleeper steer clear. There is zero sound...

I agree with people who say that's a good hotel for it's value. My family stayed there for 5 nights during Christmas period. The furniture in the room was kind of "used" if you know what I mean. It's not a Hilton. The hotel location is about 50 meters from the lift. The walk to the large free car parking... more
Gord and I spent the last two days in Mont Tremblant at the Le Kandahar. I chose it because it was one of two places in the pedestrian village that offered a free breakfast. It wasn't cheap but it was one of the cheaper places in the village. It's at the bottom the village near the clock tower. It's a quick walk up the hill to catch the gondolas to head up the mountain, plus there are... more
First time staying at the Kandehar - a family of three.

We got a great deal for three nights during the May long weekend. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with full kitchen and balcony. Hotel is conveniently located at the base of the village. Tipped maid daily, needed to track down for more towels, and did not vacuum once over 5 nights. From desk very nice always has been. Breakfast was inconsistent, not always staples like hard boiled eggs, and friut salad. Liked the cooked eggs, nice addition.
We had a one-bedroom apartment for half term in February and it was great. “I like country Inn, it is nice, cozy and romantic. I'd like to visit Mont-trembling every year and stay in the same hotel. I hope that I'll get a nicer room from the hotel no matter where I booked hotel.”
“Firstly they gave us a bad room and they change a better room for us.”
“The location is convenient though I would have liked the Marriott better at Tremblant. The hotel staff was not friendly as I asked for a coupon book I saw they offered on their website and was refused, but later given it when I got my room keys. Parking was a hassle as you have to get a pass key from them at the front desk and the front desk is nowhere near the parking entrance.”
