My stay was great from start to finish. All hotel staff were very accommodating. I was in Windsor for a funeral. When the person who was suppose to pick me up didn't arrive on time, a wonderful member of the hotel staff grabbed her keys and drove me to the funeral home. I am a senior who requires a walker. I was able to book a room on the first floor with no problems. All staff helped make my... more
Very accommodating. I would definitely recommend. Good breakfast as all
I asked to be on ground level due to having a newborn baby and wanted baloney door for easy room access from parking lot. I go to check in and find out our king suite didn't have balcony doors and asked a different room. They only had queen bed and it had balcony doors which was fine but no parking out front so we couls only briefly park on the side unload and go re park out cat out front. It... more
This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in, in terms of filth. The bath tub had a ring of scum and dirt with the overall condition of our room poor. We had a non smoking room which wreaked of smoke. I am a smoker and this still bothered me. Extremely unhappy with our experience and will not return.
Even thought the hotel in in the midst of renovations we were not bothered by them. The changes are great - especially the beds - VERY comfortable. The continental breakfast was more and better than we expected.
We were basically only in the hotel overnight and for breakfast. Everything except the hallway carpeting was very clean. There was also a good variety of foods for breakfast. The only complaint I had about breakfast is that the coffee tasted like water. Not sure why hotels make it so weak.
Great experience and nice and close to the highway.
Unfortunately for us, we booked at the last minute and had no choice but to take the only room that was left which was a smoking room. We had no idea that the smell of cigarette would be so bad. The smell of the nicotine, cigarette smell in our room was overbearing, the only slight relief was to keep the A/C on high, so that the air can thin out a bit. So we only stayed the one night, did not... more
We spent one night here, and this place is the best Comfort Inn that we have ever stayed in. The front desk staff was super friendly and went above and beyond. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and were very pleased with our accommodation. The beds are extremely comfortable (Beautyrest mattresses with thick mattress covers). The Wi-Fi is excellent: there are plenty of plugs for laptops/chargers and the TV is flat screen with a good selection of channels. The room windows open for a breeze in the evening. The fridge... more
Wanted a quite Hotel away from downtown. Young ladies at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. The lobby was under construction but our room was fully renovated, clean (very important), aesthetically pleasing and beds were very comfortable.
This was a great place to stay. Very close to restaurants and shopping and conveniently located by the expressway.
Stayed only one night. Rooms were good. Not many restaurants in the area. Breakfast was nothing special but sufficient.
Room has a fridge, microwave, large couch etc. Very comfortable room although the hallway was being renovated and a bit rough. We stayed here in January on the way to Florida so this may be corrected by now. There is a coffee maker in the room but they also serve coffee by the lobby. Free wifi is nice and we... more
Good my kids liked it and so am I ;) . We will go to same hotel next time.
The hotel is undergoing renovation and we were given a room on the first floor. It was a renovated room and sparkling clean. Beds were new and very comfortable. Nice pillow selection. Lots of good towels. Breakfast was included in the rate and was served near the lobby in a small room. Everything was fresh. No complaints about this hotel or the service. The area surrounding the hotel is quiet... more
The comfort inn was a great stay for the price. It's currently being renovated and is really nice. Continental breakfast was okay....would have preffered a hot breakfast...but considering the price it was will worth it.
This is a great Comfort Inn. The rooms are newly renovated and nicely done. Breakfast was good and sufficient. Most important is the great customer service - especially Nikki who checked us in. We did not have any problems but felt comfortable knowing that if we did, the staff would resolve them without negative attitude. Recommended.
I've stayed at this location numerous times before and was USUALLY my location of choice vs. other Comfort Inns in Windsor because of location and rates. Now with the newly renovated rooms (renos still ongoing) it will ALWAYS be my location of choice in the near future. Nicely modernized room but a couple of items were still lacking, namely an... more
We have stayed here before and landed in the middle of a major room and interior upgrade. There was no problem and we got one of the newly furnished rooms and we very impressed for the price paid and the fact we could bring our dogs. The new rooms and halls are a big improvement over the old ones, much nicer materials... more
Typical Comfort Hotel you'd visit anywhere in Canada. Building still going through renovations, not a deterrent to recommending this location. Friendly staff and welcome smile to the weary traveller. There is no elevator so if you have many bags, ask for bottom floor.
this hotel was such a nice experience after my last two adventures with hotels! from the beginning of booking room staff was very pleasant and helpful, rooms are clean and updated , breakfast was good for cafe style and location was quiet and relaxing! thank you for restoring my faith in hotels that go beyond and above or just care!
Is a very dated hotel. Was probably something to see in its heyday. Definitely could use some maintenance. My door didn't always close easily. I noticed others had the same issue. Cracks in the walls were noticeable moulding was bent on the doors. Things like that. The Resturant was rough. Service was almost nonexistent the menu was limited and I ended up going elsewhere for dinner.
The hotel was all newly renovated. The comfort of the beds was amazing. In the room you find a coffeemaker, fridge and microwave. Breakfast is complimentary as is coffee and tea available all day. More than enough towels. I would come back again. Rate was good for what you get. I found the room clean.
It would have been nice to come back to a room where the ironing board and iron were put away instead of still up after the room had been cleaned. Overall it wasn't a bad place to stay but the bathtubs definitely needed to be upgraded when the bathroom renovation was done.
Everything I want in a hotel. It was clean, good eats close by, free papers, good breakfast, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, no noise, parked right outside our room which had sliding doors to the outside and close to the tunnel to Detroit.
Hi room has been updated but it was a little out of the way from downtown and rooms were on the small side. , but it was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable.. and room was very clean. I would stay again. thanks
Quick check in. Good breakfast. Front desk clear was friendly and helpful. Let me know about a good place to eat and also provided a 20% off coupon.
We were in town for a swim meet and wanted to stay a little further from downtown to save money. This hotel was only 10 minutes from downtown and it was easy to get to. They were remodeling part of the building but that only seemed to include changing the carpet on the lower level, nowhere near our room. We never heard any maintenance noise. Our room looked recently updated and was clean and... more
Nice clean room - but the night we stayed there we saw people in room 144 smoking in their room. The room - #111 - did have an "old" odour about it but otherwise everything was great.
Arrived at 3:00 p.m. on our trip from Florida
Staff at the desk were totally helpful and gracious.
Room is great. Clean, comfortable, and - - the t.v. works.
Wifi is excellent.
There is a grille next door which serves great grub.
Some maintenance was ongoing. The washroom fan wasn't working. Other than that, it was amazing, room was renovated and comfortable. Very reasonable priced. Comfort level was up to par with any other 4 start hotel.
Pleasant, comfortable room, fridge and microwave- good for families, free breakfast sufficient- but not memorable, would stay there again.
Clean and comfortable, rooms with nice linen, I was in one of the new ones, good size bathroom, big windows with lots of light, you can park your car right in front of your door, and it doesn't look like a cheap motel, it's a nice little place even now under renovations the staff keeps saying sorry but they work... more
so far is good, good location, breakfast room too small
Arrived in a blizzard, left in 6 in of snow, but the stay was great.
Stayed here for a boys hockey tournament. rooms were very nice. Beds were very comfy. All areas were clean. Our room had a fridge and microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast selection was really good. Would definitely stay again if I go to Windsor.
Clean, inexpensive, away from downtown yet close enough 5 km
It was a comfortable stay. I am happy with the hotel.
A friend and I have stayed at this hotel most years for the past 20 years on our way to the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. We were met by a very helpful desk clerk who went to our room after check-in to open the sliding doors so we could find the room from the parking lot--very thoughtful. The room had been renovated recently, and was a big improvement over past experiences.... more

Very comfortable room on 2nd floor first floor appeared to be under renovation
The hotel staff did an AMAZING job getting me from the lobby to my room, as I was unable to stay on my feet new years eve. Although I don't remember much from my nights stay, I bet my parents would have been proud I stayed in such a great hotel. Sincerely, drunk guy in green sport jacket
The hotel was nicely renovated and staff was courteous.
A good place to stay. Nothing fancy but clean, friendly and quite. I noticed that there was some remodeling from the last time I was there. It was always ok in the past but there now seems to be high quality pillows and bedsheets. I would not hesitate to go back.
Nice fresh room, comfortable bed (the choice of firm/soft pillows is a nice touch) soft carpet, good size room. The staff was very friendly check-in and check-out. Great experience.
I've stayed at this location in the past, and never had an issue.
Arcata's pizza (next door to the hotel) is worth a look.
The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Our room was nicely renovated which was a bonus even though they are still renovating the rest of the public areas. Also the location was great because we were only a few minutes from the main hiway.
Very comfortable and clean room offering 2 pillows firm and soft. Convenient location, close to the highway.
I travel to Windsor 3 times per year and always stay at this Comfort Inn. The staff is fantastic always. What a surprise when I checked in last week and saw the renovations that have been done. As a female business traveller these were very much appreciated. From the new work desk & chairs to the new modern tech friendly... more
The hotel was under construction, but was fully functional. Hotel has no elevator. One wall of my room adjoined the main staircase and could hear other guests coming and going up and downstairs all through the evening and night. To be fair, the room was clean and more than adequate for me. The bathroom was fairly dated with cracked and chipped tile.
Hotel currently under renovations which detracts from the appearance. No elevator to second floor so be prepared to carry your suitcases. Very friendly staff, spacious room
My review is a few months old but I didn't want to miss the chance to give a good review to place that deserved one. We've stayed here regularly, say, 15 years ago. It hadn't been updated since, so the renovation project (just starting when we arrived) is long overdue. However, were repeat guests because the rate is always good... more
Hotel is undergoing renovations at this time. Room was newly renovated but still had old TV. Must be waiting to replace all TV's when complete. The hallways were under renovation and the parking lot was full of containers. A bit messy. I think they should have offered a discount for the room for the inconvenience of the construction. Also the breakfast area is sub standard. No space.
We had a great experience and would definitely book with comfort Inn again
Spent one night here, down visiting relatives on a Saturday/Sunday trip. We had one of the renovated rooms - smallish but compact and clean and everything was new. Hotel is undergoing renovations but there was no noticeable noise from construction. Hallway shows evidence of undergoing renovation (recent paint job, baseboard not yet in) but they are clean. And considering it... more
Hotel is undergoing a renovation. The hallways have not been done yet and there is minimal lighting in the halls. Our room renovation was completed and it was very nice although nothing special. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had been updated as well but again no wow factor-fresh paint, new countertop, new flooring and lights. The area was quiet, close to the mall.... more
This hotel is currently under renovation (as in the lobby and hallways), but the rooms are brand spanking new! Great value for the Windsor area, especially with breakfast, WiFi, and parking included. The stay was almost fine except for bath tub needed cleaning. Renovation in the hotel did not bother us much. New furniture in the room and lamps looked modern and stylish. Just far from clean bath tub and someone's socks showing from under the bed spoiled entire impression.
Although the hotel is currently under renovation, it still offers an amazing quality of service. Combined with a great location it is good value for your dollar.
The room I stayed in had been recently renovated. Nice furniture and a clean bathroom, although shoddy grouting work and painting. It was directly across from the ice and vending machines on the...

Once you get by the musty stale cigarette smoke smell in the lobby and halls, this is fine for anyone passing through Windsor. Good front desk staff, very helpful. Adequate breakfast, yougurt would have been... more
Stayed here on the way to Toronto. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable with friendly staff and good service. Easy driving access to river walk which is a good walk/run if you have the time. There was no elevator that I was aware of so stay on first floor if that is a requirement.
This is a great place to stay in for the price. The location is good.. right by the expressway. The price is good. And the rooms are decent. We got the king suite for just $5 more than a queen (no brainer there) and those rooms are newly renovated. They're quite nice actually. THe lady at the front desk was... more
When we first arrived at the hotel, I was shocked. It is undergoing renovations and the place is a mess. She was the front desk clerk when we checked in and she provided excellent service beyond the call of duty. Besides giving excellent directions for us inside of Windsor, she also provided help on the rest of our trip including providing personal maps and suggestions.
I work in a hotel at the front desk so my expectations of customer service and cleanliness are very high. I was not disappointed. This motel is very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The first floor rooms have sliding glass doors which makes bringing luggage and packages into the room a breeze. I have stayed here before and will probably stay on return trips.
“The hotel was perfect for what we wanted. It's a good clean place to spend a night. There was a couch in the room so we did not have to sit on the bed to watch TV. We were close to the highway and only ten minutes from the downtown area.”
“Hotel was not very clean. Management and front desk staff rude and not helpful.”
“Attended in Windsor to attend the Canadian Slo-Pitch championships and required good economical accommodation. We will try this again on our travels to Florida this winter. Good job.”
“I'd stay here again, but would want a room with internet access, or at least better sound on the TV/radio products. Staff made positive impression, and the hotel was clean. Put against the money I paid, it was a decent deal.”
“This hotel is perfect for someone who needs a place to lay their head. It's a little off the beaten path, so you won't be bothered by the night life of Windsor. The flip side of that is that if you want to have dinner at 10 PM like we did, it's extremely difficult to find a place close by.”
“I mistakenly drank what I thought was complimentary bottled water and the owner tried to charge me 2.99 for it (but she did not). For this reason I will never frequent another Comfort Inn. “The Comfort Inn Windsor is conveniently located on Dougall Ave. just off the EC Row Expressway, just minutes away from the tunnel, bridge, and casino. The room was clean, no complaints there, but the one problem was that breakfast was served in a very small room, which made for a tight squeeze when more than 2 people were in there selecting their items. ”
“It was ok. I've stayed there before, and I just feel it didn't measure up to some of the other hotels we've stayed at up there for the same or less money.”
