An excellent place to stay when you are visiting in the down town area.
I have stayed at this hotel for the past two years. Manager Gary Singh and the entire staff have always been courteous and very helpful whenever i need anything from booking a room to ordering new towels. The hot tub suites are the way to go. Its almost like a mini apartment. You get three rooms with three tv's. The hot tub is an adult 5 person. The hotel also has a very convenient location... more
Absolutely the worst place to stay in Edmonton. Arrived in town around 1am. Hotel staff were very rude, as well there was a prostitute wearing next to nothing on a wheelchair riding around INSIDE the hotel! The concierge didnt even seem remotely disturbed by this and seems to accomodate her presence! So they get us into a room$160. The room had no ventilation and the heater was stuck on! After... more
I created a gmail account just to warn people to not stay here. The parking staff are rude and racist. I was trying to park in the back but some parking stuff told me there were no parking space and told me to park at a pay to park. There were 5 parking space open and I asked them why I couldn't park in them. They said the Chinese restaurant parking spaces are full. I told them I wanted to stay... more
In center of edmonton. I like thé fact Its close To thé mall. What I didn't like was the fact I got into edmonton earlier so instead of let me check in couple hours before the check in time, they asked me to have lunch or walk around in the mall until check in time( and I was exhausted). But yeah, apart from that bad experience, everything was ok.Ooh the ceiling, I never saw anything this... more
We stayed at this hotel April 25-27. Reading the reviews before our trip to Edmonton gave me huge second thoughts about staying here but I am glad we did. We arrived at 4:30pm and there was ample parking right behind the hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly telling us about the hotel, amenities and breakfast. The lobby smelled... more
This isn't the ritz, but it doesn't cost like the ritz either. I've stayed here twice in the last month on 2 separate trips, and both times found a clean affordable room. Very quiet both times. I wouldn't recommend the chinese food in the lobby. The hotel though is a definate 2 thumbs up.
Although very conveniently located in the heart of downtown, the so called luxury suite (was only room available at time of booking), left me wanting more. Hotel extremely dated and in desperate need of some updates. Due to its location for business related activities, the location has a lot of potential but...I would sooner stay in a less convenient location... more
Room was amazing! it was spacious and had a jacuzzi tub. However, the room gets really warm and I would suggest getting a room with air conditioning. There is a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, and complimentary breakfast. There are no half ratings but I would give it a 3.5/5. Hotel is elegant and the staff is friendly.
Central, convenient downtown location. Room was quite hot and air conditioning was noisy and hard to regulate, but overall comfortable room and good quality for the price. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool (although very small), and the complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise. Much more than a continental breakfast, many choices including hot eggs, sausages, waffles, and many... more
The location is great, rooms big, pool very small. The lady greeted us at the counter was nice. The breakfast had choices of eggs, sausage, DIY waffles, good choice of yogurts and fruits.
The downside was all the time full parking ( that we had to pay for), awful resto on a first floor and a lady on a night...

The hotel is very smokey from the minute you walk in, in the elevators and hallways. The front staff were friendly and helpful except for an elderly man trying to check me out a day earlier without me wanting to. That was frightful. The paid parking is very limited. I had to drive around downtown, not knowing my way around... more
Room quality is standard, parking is extremely limited. I was given a parking pass and no spot to park at the hotel. When I went to the front desk to complain they told me to go across the street and park in the paid parking area which is not secure either. I went back to hotel and ended up waiting... more
I can say with certitude that the Comfort Inn and Suites on 10425 100 Ave. is one of the absolute worst hotels at which I've ever stayed. I hesitated to write a review, because the act of listing the problems with the hotel reckons back to mind all the horrible experiences I had there.
I stayed as a guest with...

Checking in was mixed: I was happy to be told I had a room upgrade but I was then told that the company credit card had not been preapproved - I did not know it needed to be done, the travel agent who booked the room did not know either. It took me a bit to get the credit card... more
Not a happy customer! Room felt gross and was way to hot. But yet main floor was freezing cold! Walls way to thin, heard people goin in and out of elevator. Hotel stunk! And front desk associate was so rude!!
They charge to much for what that place is. Not worth it. Will never go back!!
We are currently staying here and it has got to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed in! The rooms are nasty, no covers on the bedding, the whole hotel stinks like cigarettes and there are drunks from the bar downstairs wandering the halls. The pool area is disgusting, the pool and hot tub are tiny.... I could go... more
I stayed there just last week, and I really wished I would of looked at some of these reviews! I know first hand how grossed out I was. For a non-smoker I felt the whole hotel reaked of it. I was in Edmonton on Dec 6th/2013, for a Christmas party and was dropped off by a taxi at the Comfort Inn,unfortunately it was not the hotel I was staying in, it was minus 35 so I went inside to ask where the Coast hotel was. The staff at the comfort Inn were so rude and unprofessional. Because of the extreme cold I asked them to please call me a taxi, well let me tell you they did not call me... more
I found the hotel to have warm and friendly staff. My room was always ready, clean and comfortable. Any items I requested or needed were happily brought to me. After many stays, I have nothing but good things to say and would recommend them to anyone who wants a quiet, clean room with warm staff to tend to your needs.
Service in general was excruciatingly horrid. Was charged for something I accidently clicked on, which would of never happened, had they had a proper working remote for my television. Was forced to pay even after explaining my situation, due to my alternative apperance( punk). Never stay here unless you dont mind judgemental and unaccepting service.
Nothing spectacular about the place, it's old and could use some updates, plumbing is a little noisy, but very convenient central location and more affordable than most other hotels downtown. Lots of things around. Also has free parking which is great.
The staff was miserable from the time we walked in the door, the price I booked at somehow wasn't the price anymore, they didn't make it easy to deal with them. The front desk girl fought with me about the rate, and I had it printed on my reservation confirmation, but still I was somehow wrong. It would be great... more
Being a Comfort Inn, I wasn't expecting much. That was probably a good place to start, but it was still downhill from "not much".
When you arrive you just can't miss the smell of cigarette smoke. It seems to be everywhere; in the lobby, in the elevator, in the halls. And this is supposed to be a smoke free property....

Not the most exciting area of downtown, but centrally located, someone I know recently stayed here and found it to be pretty decent for the price. Housecleaning was late in getting to the room on the following day, but otherwise the room was spacious enough, and although it was a smoking floor, the place did not really have a strong smoke smell. There is a pool, hot tub, and gym. It's not the... more
I have stayed all across canada and this was probably the worst. We've stayed here many times and are always satisfied with the hotel and service. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The on-site Chinese restaurant was also very nice. Note: the restaurant can't do room service or charge to the room. It's a completely separate business.
We were able to check-in a few hours early. I knew the...

I stayed here for a business trip. My employer booked the room with her credit card but aparently that was only to hold the room so when I went to check in they would not let me check in. This past August I traveled across Canada, straight from Nova Scotia. I chose Choice Hotels for my stays along the way. Hotel is easy to get to, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Awful smoking room with burns and stains on the carpet. Horrid smell. Bugs in the bathroom. AC barely worked so disgustingly warm at night. I would never ever in a million years stay here again.
I have to start off by saying they had a new flat screen t.v. Even though it was not huge some hotels still have the old box style. Room was a fair size, I did not feel claustrophobic. The rooms all overlook a central courtyard which is the pool and it can get noisy if there are kids in it,... more
We always stay in Comfort Inns when travelling.
The room and cleanliness of the hotel is the only positive things I have to say about it. The pool was small and cold. Not suitable for small children. The hot breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs or salty bacon. The orange and apple juice was undiluted concentrate. The key card were wiped...

Do not stay. Became very sick after eating the seafood. Rooms were disgusting and staff was very unprofessional. I found money was missing after room was "cleaned".
The duty manager was super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was surprising, was expecting cold but it was a hot breakfast. Waffle station was the best surprise. Rooms were clean. No problems. Beds a little stiff would be only problem! Other then that I rate this hotel great. It was a pleasurable stay - so thank you to the staff... more
This Hotel has a lot of things going for it.

Loved the continental breakfast, pool, gym, fridge and spacious room. Just it was a little pricy and no shopping malls, restaurants, or gas stations close by. However I do understand it is downtown and I only had 3 choices of hotels from table charm and I chose this one because it was the best.
This is a nice hotel with clean rooms and good breakfast. wasn't disappointed in my stay but i don't have much to rave about either. for the price it's a great place to sleep. the pool was surprisingly small but it wasn't very busy (no one else was in the pool when we were) so there was ample room for... more

When you factor in the included parking and breakfast on top of a reasonable price and downtown location, you really couldn't ask for more bang for your buck. I've stayed at a handful of hotels in Edmonton because of work and this is by far my least favourite.
When we arrived, they didn't have a non-smoking room, so we had to take a smoking room (for the same cost since it was packed on rodeo weekend, or something, and we were "lucky" we even got a room, so said the front desk clerk.)
We checked in to the tiny room that overlooked the parking lot...

I dont really know if all of downtown Edmonton is such a bore, or just the area where this hotel is located. It wasnt too far of a run too the river (although downhill and likely impossible 6 months of the year in the snow) - where it is a nice place for a walk/run.

It's in a good location, but the lobby was crawling with cockroaches (we're talking upwards of 20 in maybe 10 square-feet). Not something you want to be welcomed by when first entering a hotel. It was gross.Oh the other hand, staff was quite pleasant..
So, I'm split between 2 and 3 stars. The actual motel definitely warrants 2 but the fact that we got to stay in a smoking room that didn't reek was a huge plus.
When you walk in, you're immediately confused. The check-in desk is hid behind a stark white pillar and a long couch. Also, every piece of furniture breathes the stench of greasy overpowering Chinese food, thanks to the restaurant open...
