Disappointed

I was not happy that it took 2 days of my 3 day visit to get a coffee pot in the room that worked. The sink drain didn't work properly and found that the hot breakfast was only given out if you asked for it. They also have sweeteners for your coffee that are not safe to use, they were Sweet'n low which states you must see a Doctor before using, the other one was equal loaded with aspartame.

This hotel has exactly what you need and nothing more so it's great for an inexpensive stop in Fredericton. Clean, good location, free parking, free wifi.

Older hotel that has been renovated.

Clean and updated. Rooms are on the small size the beds were comfortable and clean, no mustiness which is a big plus for me. Ground floor had patio door access to the parking lot which is nice for bringing in your luggage but doors are old and need replacing. Would stay there again but would not pay full price for a room, definitely not worth 150/night.

Affordable, clean and comfortable

We stayed here for 3 nights over a long weekend. It was very clean and reasonably quiet (the occasional noise was from inconsiderate guests in the hallway rather than from outdoors). The room was very comfortable. I would consider staying here again the next time I go to Fredericton.

Not impressed

Receptionist was rude right off. Asked for a ground floor room as I can't do stairs very well and was told no we had requested a 2nd floor room. I don't think so. Nice hotel newly renovated

Room comfortable but needed more chairs. Breakfast had good variety but a very small area. There was construction on the roads which was inconvenient but no fault to the hotel. All in all our stay was pleasant and we would return there again.

Helpful reception staff

We received a very nice warm welcome from the receptionist and the room was very comfortable and clean. Parking was also good. The big disappointment for us was the breakfast. The breakfast room is far too small for the size of the hotel, no hot breakfast was offered (apparently you had to ask for it and the lady in the breakfast room seemed like it was all a chore to her!

The first room we were shown was not acceptable as it smelled funky. I have stayed here a few times on trips out east.

Comfortable but not well located

The room was clean and was a good place to sleep. The service was very good and the staff was helpful. The location is not the best since there are only fast food restaurants in walking distance. As a bonus, breakfast was included and there was waffles.

Met our needs

Room smell like an old ashtray

Even if they made us sign a document that say we will be charged $200+ if we smoke in the room, someone before us smoked in it and it smelled like and old ashtray. Next morning both of us had the impression that we spend the night in a smoker's house. The lady in charge of the breakfast didn't look happy to serve some costumers that arrive near the end of the breakfast time.

Excellent hospitality

The hotel is clean and the facilities are great. There's a nearby park to walk our dog in, and you can't beat the free breakfast. When we checked in, they gave our dog cookies. The other guests have pets but nary a bark is heard. Great location. This will be our first choice every time we visit Fredericton.

hospitality plus

Everyone is so very welcoming, not only for humans but also for pets even to the point of offering poop and scoop bags. There were at least a dozen dogs in our wing of the hotel and not a sound was heard. Rooms are very clean, renovated and the free breakfast almost like home-cooked.

In general hotel is OK. It is far away from major shopping centers. Nothing in a walking distance. In addition, far away from major attraction. A little expensive as compared to others with no apparent distinction.

...but they have a large number of convenient drive-up rooms with direct access from the parking that I really like. No need to carry your luggage up the rather narrow stair cases.

This hotel was a lot better than expected, rooms were clean, staff real friendly and they went out of there way to help. I would stay there again when I'm up that way. Breakfast was well... it is Canada so you get what you get.

Pleasantly surprised

Nicely appointed room with new furniture and fixtures. Comfortable pillows with option of soft or firm density. Great sleep! The bathroom was impeccably clean. The property has obviously undergone a major make-over.

The only downside was the condition of the parking lot and walkways. They were very icy and probably could have cleared much better.

Not beautiful outside, but clean, convenient and comfortable outside. Easy to get to downtown. Restaurants nearby. Comfortable mattress and clean bedding. Rom was recently refurbished - nicely furnished. Heat was comfortable. Fast Internet. Ordinary breakfast.

Hotel was clean enough but it just seemed old and worn out. Needs a refresh. Check in was fine and quick, lobby was small and dated.

Friendly staff.

The coffee pot had not been cleaned and the used filter was still there. The bed covers were stained and needed replacement or at least a wash. The blanket had lint or fuzzier on it.

Nicely refurbished and very comfortable!

Sadly, the only problem was the hallway we needed to walk through in order to reach our non-smoking room. It absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. Eye-wateringly and throat- chokingly so. I would suggest that the smoking rooms be in a different wing from the one used by non-smokers.

We had to switch room twice. Both rooms had a terrible sour smell. The towels smelled like smoke in a "no smoking room" and people were smoking in the hall. The bed spread comforter was filthy.

Easy access from the Trans Canada

We didn't know whether we were staying for more than one night and the desk staff recommended we book the second night and we could cancel up to four o'clock the second day once we decided The staff really made our stay comfortable and less stressed then when we had arrived.

Very worn out

Very worn out hotel. Raging portable air conditioner in reception. Badly stained hallway carpets. Poor ventilation throughout.

Comfy

Typical Comfort Inn. Comfortable, clean and fairly modern. It is very close to all amenities. Very easy to find on prospect street. It is on the quieter area of prospect street. Staff was very friendly and easy to get along with for the many bookings we had.

Comfortable quiet spot

Considerate Staff

The staff was kind and considerate. When we mentioned that our non-smoking room was in the midst of a very smoky area with smoke-filled corridors and stairways, they moved us to another wing. We found the hotel and the room a little out-dated but in very good repair. We rented a first floor drive-up room which is a tremendec advantage for older clients. The room was clean and tidy. The complimentary breakfast was enjoyable and ample. The staff top to botom were wonderful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

A nice visit to fredericton

Room very clean which is our first criteria. Convenient location. Only down side which is not the hotel's fault is that the entrance off the highway was not well lit at night. Will stay there again on our next visit.

It was ok. We were dissapointed in the cleanliness of the beds. The bed spreads were very worn with black spots on the tops of them. Ther were also nubby on the tops. The bed skirt was ripped and torn on the bottom.

A little smokey but otherwise just fine

I stayed here on points one night when visiting friends and family. The hallways smell a bit like cigarette smoke but the room did not. The room was good and the breakfast was pretty good. As other reviewers have said, it is a bit worn. For a budget hotel I think this is a good place to stay.

Comfort Inn, Prospect Street, Fredericton

The staff were great - everyone I encountered on my short stay were polite and very accommodating. The breakfast room was well stocked and very clean. The fridge and microwave came in handy too. I will certainly stay here again next time I'm in Fredericton.

It is nice to find a smoker friendly hotel that also is close to shopping. The staff was friendly and I found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. I strongly recommend this hotel even if your a non smoker.

I was nervous when we arrived to walk down hallways that were stale and smelled of old cigarette smoke and relieved to walk into an OK room. Room and bathrooms were clean but old-style bedding made us a bit uncomfortable.

Disappointed with check in

The web sight advertises a 2:00pm check in time. Also in the customer directory in the room it gives check in time as 1:00pm. We arrived at the hotel at 2:15pm and sat in the hallway on our luggage until 3:30pm. Might I suggest to clean the rooms that are already booked first. Or hire more help.

The hotel was pretty nice. Room was nice (though we had to carry our luggage up several flights of stair which was inconvenience).
