Really. The title says it all!
I booked via Expedia (like I have done many times), it seams like a decent place and good price.
Well, not at all. The area is dirty and not nice at all.
The staff at the front desk are TERRIBLE.
By just looking at the place I kind of didn't like if, right from...

The location of this hotel was near where we needed to be but the area has changed a lot in recent years. St Laurent, a few blocks away, is now very seedy but it is near the Metro and the university. St. Catherines is just a few blocks away also and it has many good restaurants. There is a large... plus
Chambre avec 2 lits doubles pour 3 adultes. Avons passé très peu de temps à la chambre. Satisfaits du choix.C'était mon 3 séjour à cet hôtel.
we checked in late around 10 pm. . we were in town for a sports event and it seemed like a logical place to meet near the bus terminal as I could take the 747 from the airport and my son the limocar from the Eastern townships where he studies. the hotel is right behind the bus terminal and you have to walk to the next street and double back onto st Hubert which takes 2 minutes. the room was... plus
This hotel is a very good choice to stay in Montreal. I stayed there for several nights. The rooms are spacious and clean, with free wi-fi and the staff was very nice and helpful. It's close to Berri-UQAM station and to Quartier Latin, with many options of restaurants. Downtown is just 5 minutes by underground or 25 minutes walking. Also,... plus
I stayed at this hotel for two nights last month and it was overall okay. If you are looking for a reasonable price to pay and to be close to downtown montreal this is a good choice. The hotel room was clean and spacious but the sheets were wrinkly and kind of turned me off. The breakfast which is included... plus
As soon as I arrived to check in, there was a lineup to the desk, with only one concierge. There was an issue with a guest trying to check in because there was a mistake on the date of the booking. After waiting for half an hour! and watching the concierge go in and out of a back office to ask his supervisor questions, we were getting concerned. Were our reservations messed up as well? He also... plus
We found this hotel online and decided to go with because of its price & relative location to downtown. We compensated on service, quality, cleanliness & sleep. Will not stay here again.
We booked 4 rooms for a corporate event. I had called two days before our arrival inquiring about early check in. Was told by who I assume was...

Very tired, room in desperate need of an update, pictures on the TV at the front desk are not an accurate representation. Cracked, single pane window, so you can hear everything as room was located on the second floor over the front entrance. Plus, very cold draft coming in from the old window. Curtain for a closet door, mattresses in... plus
Rooms were fine but all utensils at breakfast were styrofoam which was very strange (and un-Eco friendly!) Area didn't seem particularly safe to walk around at night, but only about 15 minutes walk from the town centre.
For the price we paid, we expected more compared to another hotel 2 blocks away on Rue St Denis where we had stayed a few days previously. This hotel needs a major renovation. Old can be nice, but the hotel looks very dated. There was a problem with the windows, and the toilet kept running. The continental breakfast is a joke - cold croissants, only one choice of black tea, no herbal teas, and... plus
I had pre-paid for my hotel room at the Comfort Inn for the weekend, when I got there the staff wasn't friendly, very rude, treated is like we were stupid. I had trouble getting into my room there were a lot of complications and I had told them I had pre-paid for this hotel room and I would like to... plus
Close to subway station, nightlife in the Village, dining on rue Denis. The staff were wonderful. The room was very nice, one of the most comfortable beds ever. Breakfast is free and well lets just say you get what you pay for, but everything else was very good and definitely affordable for where it is.
We got a deal from deal find so we booked for the labor day long weekend for 1 night. There was a SriLankan guy on the front desk who was very nice & friendly. He even allowed us to check in early which we liked very much. The location is nice for the price. Rooms are clean & spacious. Breakfast... plus
Convenient location for sightseeing, party everything is so close by. Great room, quiet, staff were very friendly and helpful, the complimentary breakfast, well you get what you pay for! Overall the hotel is really great.
Stayed in this room for $240 (taxes in). Room has wall paper falling off the walls, rust stained walls under neath, and to top it off nonfunctional AC system. This hotel is a 1 or 2 star at best. Asked Concierge to help us out - sent someone up to look at it, who claimed they'd fix it. No fix... plus
- Need a lot of renovation - Courtesy of the staff is very bad
great location within easy walking distance of Ste Catherine st, UQAM and even the Old City. Basic hotel - clean and recently updated.
Visited Montreal this weekend with a friend. I was looking for something central to the Plateau, Shopping, Food on St Denis, and the Gay Village. I could not have picked a better location. Situated on Rue St. Hubert between Ontario and Maisonneuve we were within walking distance to all. A block and a half north of the Gay Village, 4... plus
Used my points to stay here. Its your basic comfort inn, better then most I stayed. Gave me an outdated room instead a renovated room. Poorly located, area a little sketchy. Great location to take the subway!
Comfort Inn is situated very close to the Metro, and that was it's only redeeming quality. Otherwise, it is extremely expensive, and over-rated. We arrived on a Friday night, with no reservation, right on "Frosh week' for McGill. I suppose rooms are at a premium, as the price of the room was raised every night. First night the cost for... plus
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Everything else is disgusting . First off , we drove to Montreal from Toronto on a whim , we got to comfort inn and they told us they had one large queen size bed left - for 350$!!!! By the looks of the lobby (which was kinda nice and modern)... plus
Legitimately the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel. When I asked for towels, shampoo, conditioner, they wouldn't bring it to our room and told me to find the hotel maid on our floor. Additionally, we had to wait 1.5 hours to check into our room after the said check in time. We prebooked a room and they said... plus
This is a nice hotel. It's clean, looks nice and has great service.
Stayed here August 15 & 16. Got up Saturday morning and checked out the city. When I returned around 5pm I found my room with the door wide open. It was propped open with a towel. All my valuables were just sitting there on the dresser for all to see. Thankfully nothing was stolen. I had an expensive laptop, designer... plus
We stayed at this hotel two years ago and thought it was really good value considering everything, and decided to stay here again this summer. Everything was within expectations (friendly welcome at check-in, clean room, etc) until check-out time when the young woman at the front desk came out talking to me with food still in her mouth. I had a very simple question regarding the bill and said... plus
I stayed at this Hotel from August 1 and checked out Monday August 4 2014 after I won a contest that paid for my West Jet return flight and room, here's my view of this Hotel.I love the fact like everyone else stated here that it's close to the Subway and it's walking distance to all the shops on Saint... plus
This comfort inn is a fairly average comfort inn but yet it's descent for the price and location. The pluses are obviously the location. You are literally one block from the subway which could take you wherever you want to go. Also, the heart of downtown is about a 15-20 min walk. The free breakfast was nicer than most comfort... plus
This place was perfect. It was in a central location to all the resturabrs and bars as well as parks and the library.

First, I will begin with saying.....I am honestly not too picky and for the most part extremely tolerant! This hotel is disgusting, it was dirty and filled with mold....black mold all around the bathroom sink. Do yourself a favour and stay far, far away from this place!

Reception staff were all friendly and helpful. I would not have felt comfortable walking the area after dark. Room was clean, average continental breakfast in the morning. Overall worked for our purpose - place to sleep. I don't recall any issues other than a tight bathroom.
This is a great location to many of the places we wanted to see and visit...BUT the rooms need a face lift. I stayed here with my wife from 29 June - 4 July. It was a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean and of good size. The receptionist was very helpful, and every member of the staff was nice. For a 3 star hotel, this was a good hotel. Room was spacious and clean, despite the strange smell every time we opened the door. Shower head needs to replaced ASAP. I got this hotel off priceline for about $85 USD + $20 parking. Although I overhead the lady in front of me, who was a walk-in guest, they charged her $180 + $20 parking. So it's not exactly the best deal in town or anything.
Location wise, it's decent but it's still a good 15-20 min. walk to downtown, St....

Hotel nicely located and with easy access to and from highway. Not to expensive and includes a light breakfast with cereals, toats, muffins and a waffle machine. Unfortunately, mattress are very hard.
Stayed here because the hotels were full with convention delegates. At $149 + taxes it was not a deal. The hotel is dressed up but is old and outdated. Parking at the hotel is limited and parking spaces are very tight. Continental breakfast was inadequate with little choice of cereals, fruit, baguettes, waffles and concentrated juices. Along with 5 other friends I stayed here starting Sunday, May 4, 2014 for 5 nights to attend the annual meeting of the Canadian Labour Congress. Not great, not bad; convenient to Latin Quarter, Old Montreal (walkable distances), subway station; in a quiet area but not a particularly attractive or exciting area; some down-on-their luck folks hang out near the closest subway station (Berri-UQAM), at the intersection of Berri and St. Catherine Streets; facilities are OK but could use updating; continental breakfast is pretty basic, could... plus

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days in January, and it was a great pick. The location is wonderful, within a few steps of restaurants, Starbucks, bars and lots of shopping. I chose this hotel because it is 2 minutes walk to the metro. The hotel was old. The elevator was antique and small. The water pressure was the lowest I have ever experienced. We got there early, so they said to put our luggage downstairs, there was no elevator or people to help us do this (most people in our group were in there 70's or older). When we got back from our tour of the city, not all of us were able to check in. The hallways were shabby but the rooms... plus
It was under construction so Parking was limited, I paid for a $25 parking pass yet there was no space to park, I had to complain to get a refund and parked in the underground garage down the street for $12. The beds were uncomfortable and even the TV reception on some channels was fuzzy. Take my advice and pay a little extra to avoid this dive of a hotel.
We've stayed at this Comfort Inn many times over the past few years and each time, we are surprised by our room, in the sense that it is either in poor, fair, good or very good condition. Great stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful. On arrival our check in was quick and efficient considering so many of us descended at once. Rooms easy to find nice clear signs. We were booked into a rather shady place in this street and went in and went out very quick ! I suggest that if you are considering a stay at this hotel that you continue to look elsewhere for ANY other hotel. Très propre avec une décoration sombre. C'est pas un hôtel de luxe mais vue sa propreté et son faible prix c'est bon pour de court séjour
The hotel has a good location, the building is nice and the room is in great condition. The front desk staff is friendly, welcoming, doing a great job. “ Even though I wasn't there for business, I needed the Internet to get connected with relatives and do research of the city, yet their Internet wireless is very slow. And it also keeps disconnecting. Also I was surprised of not finding a minibar at my room. Other than that, the location is great.

Not in the best part of town - recommend traveling in pairs after dark.
We were very happy here - very close to town restaurants etc and the reception staff very helpful. A courtesy bus takes you from the door to town to do the town bus tour then brings you back again. The only complaints would be that the on-site parking provided cost an extra $13.50 a day and not secure (it was free at our other Comfort Hotel stay).
Had an issue with documents at border was not able to get to the hotel called to inform them was told sorry no refund or credit. I understand if I was in the same country and chose not to go . It's on a street with several other hotels, this building/establishment stands out as the most reputable or established business aside from the high rise hotel building 2 blocks away. Excellent location, near the heart of downtown. A lot of great places to eat, a lot everything is accessible by foot, or by cab which was real easy to get. The hotel was clean, the lobby was impressive, the staff was helpful. Only complaint is that the continental breakfast was a bit lacking. Otherwise, top shelf place for the money.
“This hotel is located near downtown Montreal. It has convenient parking under the building. It is a 3 minute walk to the Metro. 5 minute walk to a vast selection of restaurants. “Went to Montreal for a bachelor party with 7 of my friends. The staff was very helpful as to informing us where 8 - 20 somethings would enjoy themselves. We had a blast. Breakfast was small with no selection, but it's to be expected with the Euro culture in Montreal and it may be why there are
zero fat people there (atleast that I saw).”
