great bakery

I've been buying bread and baked goods here for over 35 years.
Wonderful flax seed bread and pastries.
Their soup and bun combo is a great value lunch.
Best almond horseshoes I've ever had, wish I had one right now!

German Rye Bread

I visit the bakery frequently for their great varieties of German rye bread. It is consistently excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Occasionally I also have some of their pastries which are also excellent and of course fresh.

The best croissants...ever
August 12, 2013Columbia Bakery is open by 730 and I usually stop on my way yo work to ensure that I am able to purchase their freshly-baked croissants and other items. Sometimes I pick up one of their excellent sandwiches and salad for my lunch. They are also +++ community-focused, supporting various community events with their wonderful baked goods.

Great European bakery and cafe - reasonable prices

If you are looking for a good authentic no-frills European bakery/cafe the Columbia Bakery is the perfect spot. From Bavarian pretzels to rye bread that weighs a ton, or for a coffee and piece of cake this is the perfect spot to stop.
Columbia also carries a selection of European sweets, preserves, meats, and baking supplies.

won't go back
October 13, 2012I was expecting something really good due to the fact that it was a bakery and everything was freshly made. Someone ahead of me ordered a sandwich and they said they were out of whole wheat bread so he couldn't have it on his sand. There was bread for sale all around us.
