I came in late, checked in quickly, went to bed then left the next morning. The rooms were nothing special, but I had a comfortable night's sleep at a reasonable price.
Barely English speaking front desk staff and worn down, dirty rooms. The bed was lumpy. Don't stay here
Hotel is very close to Vancouver International Airport and has reasonable prices. Lots of parking for a fee.
Had all the basics required, room was clean and staff was nice. White Spot on site was helpful for tired travelers, and staff in White Spot were awesome. TV didnt work and hockey games were on, so requested either repair or new room. Front staff seemed reluctant to move us rooms, but couldnt repair tv. Finally, gave us another same room. No apologies or free meal tickets to compensate for... more
It was average. Nothing special. Pay gor parking is a little absurd. Nothing around hotel.
It was a fast check in and a nice clean hotel room. The shuttle to the airport was great. All in all, no complaints.
the hotel is in a privileged spot just blocks away of restaurants, shopping and the beautiful parks and sea.
Difficult to turn into from main road. Scary looking part of town. Hair in the bathtub.
Booked via Expedia but there are way better hotels close by in the same budget.
Reasonable accommodation with reasonable staff and clean.
The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful. The room was good but it appeared to be a very old hotel with a minimal makeover to make it seem new. Not a very good makeover.
Shuttle service was quick late at night on arrival, but not the same in the morning pick up from the airport. The hotel is old and in need to be freshened up with paint and new carpets. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant is dirty in my opinion. They serve a very nice breakfast , but how can you eat a nice breakfast in dirty tables? The same as the hotel, the restaurant needs an... more
The hotel doesn't have regularly scheduled pickup times from the airport. You have to phone and wait for them to come. Because all hotel shuttle busses pick up from the same location you have to be outside to see what hotel the busses are going to. Not fun when cold and wet!
We have been staying here for years and they really need to do some upgrading. The bathroom needs work and new towels. Rooms are clean and staff so so but we just check in and sleep between trips. never even turned on the TV. Will stay again as long as the price does not go up. our towels terriable
Clean and great hospitality has a night club right outside and white spot restaurant
It's very close to airport and free shuttle bus. But little bit noisy by the road
We had a good experience, with a comfortable night at this hotel. It was close to the Airport and reasonably priced. Just a little hard to find where to check in.
Reasonable hotel for the price. But close to highway and therefore too noisy in the room facing the highway. If you need a quiet room, ask for one not facing the highway. Otherwise, reasonable hotel for the price. Free wifi. Close to airport but a bit far from the skytrain (15min of walk).
Easy check in & out. Excellent shuttle service. Nice to have restaurant in the hotel. Difficult getting into the drop off area - small area. Was charged $16.80 on my credit card for a roll-away cot. There was no mention of there being a charge for cots either on the reservation page nor verbally from staff when I called to request the cot. Customers should be notified of any additional charges... more
Nothing special.. clean, reasonable location, shuttle to and from the airport.
es hat alles sehr gut geklappt ! wir hatten keine langeweile und haben den Aufenthalt genossen.
I booked into the hotel on my way to Montreal. Even though it is not on Seabird Island it is mere minutes from the airport. No problem in the morning. On my arrival back the Van came within a few minutes of my call. I left my vehicle parked there for 4 days at a very good rate. This is a place for cost conscious travellers. There is a White Spot restaurant in the building. Everything anybody... more
Stayed one night and it was very nice and the restaurant has great food.
Close to the Vancouver Airport with shuttle service to the airport at no charge. Room smelled mouldy when we entered, but leaving the window open helped to get rid of the smell. Queen bed was comfortable with nice linen sheets and duvet cover. White Spot restaurant on site and a Sports Bar just outside the main lobby area. Coffee in the lobby in the morning, as well as coffee maker and supplies... more
I chose this hotel based on the value I achieved bundling it with my flight costs. The location was good as it got me on the other side of the Oak Street Bridge and quicker access to downtown and UBC where I had business. The hotel was undergoing construction by the City of Vancouver and access to the property was extremely limited, challenging in combination with the one-way streets and... more
The location is very industrial and the noise from the freeways is terrible. Really hard to sleep. The rooms are old and outdated. We would have left if we hadn't prepaid the room fee.
Finding the hotel was a nightmare. Due to construction, we had to park at the back of the pub at the back of the hotel to find out from hotel staff how to find the entrance. They gave us a map which would have been handy when we made our booking through Expedia. The hotel has a responsibility to alert consumers if there are changes to ease of use of their product. When we eventually figured out... more
The bathroom and tub areas had mold and were not real clean!
The front desk staff was friendly. Hotel is outdated and could use a makeover, but it's close to the airport and the price was fair for this area. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
Nice hotel with shuttle service from airport. However, no shuttle service to port, we had to request a cab--$30.00 (one of the reasons people go to Vancouver to catch cruise ships.. Hotel staff told us how to catch the sky train to downtown Vancouver. I would stay there again.
I have an idea that when we boo with Expedia etc. they give a person the WORST rooms. The staff were very friendly, and the young lady moved us when we complaint about the noise. We had a overseas flight the next morning, thus wanted a good sleep. The White Spot restaurant was terrible. Not the usual standard. An embarrassment as a Canadian restaurant. All in all our room was good after being... more
Staff and shuttle bus were the only things that this hotle has going for it. I woldn't even have my dog stay in this hotel. Spiders in guest rooms, mold build up in bathrrom, hallways walls beat up, stains and mildew smell throughout, dark and dingy feel through out, the elevators where scetchy and you could take stairs down and out of hotel but it was impossible to find stairs to go to upper... more
Nice Hotel. Construction was taking place and I was given an upgraded room. Room was clean and spacious. Would definately stay here again.
I liked the pub, which is what I needed after a 9 hr flight, and then I liked the comfy bed!!
I have stayed at the Coast Hotel in Nanaimo and foolishly expected something similar. Did. Not. Happen. We had a very very basic hotel with the barest of decor and amenities. It was a full on disappointment and if my 82 year old mother wasn't too tired to move hotels, I would have.
friendly staff and good service
There was so much construction around hotel right now. My room had a big exhaust device outside the meager windows, noisy and smelly. bathroom needs new grout, new bathtub stopper rim 203. Staff excellent, food and drink ok.
Based on pictures of the rooms, I expected this hotel to be a bit more upscale. It's located on Marine Drive, so it's in a bit of an industrial area. When we arrived, early in the morning, we were told bluntly that check in wasn't until 3. They'd take our bags, but there was no where for us to go. The lobby was so tiny as to effectively not be considered as a waiting area. We went for a walk to... more
A/C not real cold but manageable shuttle service was good hotel serviced by steady bus service room somewhat small but very acceptable
Hotel was very basic but beds were reasonable. The white spot restaurant on site was disgusting, very dirty, food terrible and sevice nin existent
Clean hotel and room. Good experience with the staff. Very handy for stopover and sleep after long flight. Restaurant right there with reasonable meals.
Every staff member we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. No complaints whatsoever. The room was one of the cleanest we have stayed in lately.
Glad it was just overnight. I stayed at Coast Chilliwack and it was top notch Staff were friendly and helpful let me keep my fish in freezer
The bath tub had mold all around it. The rooms and Hotel need updating
I think part of the discontent some reviewers had is due to the fact that a lot of the photos make the hotel look a lot nicer than it really is. I have a Coast hotel in my city as well, and was kind of expecting something like a 4 star hotel. But this is more like a Best Western/Holiday... more
If your desperate to save a penny then maybe stay here its not worth the money, 40 dollers more will get you an extremely better place. Looks and smells like a cheap motel. Loud next to the freeway not a place I would stay again.
Stayed here for a couple of nights for the Vancouver Marathon. The room was decent and the view was not too bad. Price was pretty good considering the city was basically sold out for the Marathon and we booked pretty late. White Spot restaurant on site was good, location is pretty good and its fairly easy to find your way... more
We stayed the night before going on a cruise and used their "stopover" rate which includes 14 days of parking. For the price, the hotel is a very good value, and getting the parking, plus shuttles to the airport worked out great for us. From the airport we took the Skytrain to Canada Place for our cruise. Room was clean... more
It was pretty much what you'd expect from an airport hotel - anonymous, but perfectly acceptable. Room clean and quiet, beds good Staff rather off hand. The shuttle bus ran to time. We didn't try the restaurant.
Stayed here while overnighting between flights. It was clean quiet and comfortable, good value. The shuttle is great, runs on the half hour. Didn't have much interaction with staff, check in and out was effortless. I was travelling with my small dog and did have to pay an additional $20.00, I was aware of this so it wasn't a surprise.
We were storm stayed for an extra night in Vancouver and looked for a budget option near the airport. We opted for the Coast Hotel and it was a decent choice. The Coast hotel has its own shuttle which took us straight to the hotel and back to the airport the next day. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful.... more
The very inefficient shuttle bus from the international 6 minutes away should have been a warning. Despite phoning on the courtesy phone, as instructed, no bus came. We waited 30 minutes and then phoned again. To be assured a bus was "on its way". After an international flight, we did not expect 40 minutes to be collected. The bus driver... more
We booked a block of rooms for an extended period for family travelling to our wedding, but through a reservation error the bride and groom's room was cancelled for the wedding night and we had to scramble to book at a different hotel on the day before the wedding. Good hotel to use if your flying out the next day. Stayed here many times and every time the service is good. The rooms and average... nothing too special about them but the view was good. Parking lot is confusing though but all in all it's good for an early flight the next day.
We are budget travellers & we thought this hotel was fine. I really don't know what else a traveller would want. Clean, great shower & everything worked in the room & pleasant staff. Convenient airport shuttle & White Spot restaurant was great.
For the price of the room it was not worth it. On their website where I booked the room looked much newer and updated.. The room I got was old and not nice.. Maybe for $40 but not over $100. I kept my shoes on. Won't stay there again. The shuttle driver was nice thou if that helps.
we arrived at 9:00 at hotel..waitied for shuttle..20m..had to call ...waited another 15m..nice older man , but he should not be lifting heavy luggage. room was clean and comfortable..good price for the area...the girl at the desk, not very informative about area...White Spot breakfast at hotel ..fair breakfast..the potatoes were great
Basically abandoning the old adage to not say anything if you can't say something nice....
Well, the bed was comfortable, it was reasonably priced, and it was close to the White Spot restaurant, which serves a hearty basic breakfast. And yes, the staff were pleasant.
But everything else was poor. The carpets look like they haven't been replaced since the...

Very nice place to stay! Wonderful employees and it's not so much expensive! The free shuffle is nice for people who have to go to the airport. Rooms are very clean and we have coffee, chocolate milk, etc. And near of the airport.
Great hotel with free shuttle from airport, basically you can ring hotel from airport and they will send the shuttle to pick you up and take you to hotel. Staff are very friendly and rooms very modern and clean. Very happy with the stay and would recommend to other people.
This place seriously needs to be cleaned. The carpets are filthy and threadbare. Bathrooms okay though thank goodness or I would not have stayed.
The restaurant attached is expensive and mediocre. The best thing about this hotel is the location close to the airport although it is on a noisy highway. And another good thing is the free shuttle. Other...

Conveniently located near YVR. Complimentary and frequent shuttles to and from airport available. Room was very clean! Décor is dated, but rooms are spacious and you have everything you need. Staff friendly and efficient. For $100/night...well worth the stay.
We travel quite a bit, and when we fly out of YVR we usually stay at the Delta. We haven't stayed at a Coast Hotel in about 10 years, and decided to give it a go because it was a lot cheaper. We were surprised at how rundown this hotel is, and I don't think we'd choose another Coast Hotel.... more
Thankyou for a wonderful stay on our return to Vancouver. We had a great room which was quite, clean and comfortable. The price was right which made our stay worthwhile. Thankyou again. We will return to this hotel in the future if we return to Vancouver.
After a family vacation out travel agent had booked us for one night on our way home. We were tired and just wanted to shower and go to sleep. Our room stunk like stinky socks and dirty vacuum cleaner bags.. The amount of someone else's hair in our bathroom made it so no one wanted to shower. I would not... more
This hotel was good and close to the airport. Shuttle service was great. I would recomend it if your looking for a hotel after or before a flight. We ate at the white spot in the hotel for dinner and breakfast and it was great .
Purchased through Expedia.ca a one night stay for late May at this hotel.
My plans changed, I thought I had a 7day cancellation period but the hotel say it is a non-refundable, no cancellation booking. Expedia will not do anything and the hotel is playing hard ball even though they still have two weeks to re-book.

I booked a number of rooms for guests - I got a very good rate. The rooms were adequate, though they would need to bring them up to date. They look like the 1990's. The staff at reception need to learn to speak English better. A bit noisy from Oak Street but it is central
This hotel is a little older, but the beds are new. Got a great rate, so didn't mind a few chips in the paint. Toilet made strange gurgling noises. Feels like a rabbit warren inside with long hallways. Had a room that connected to another, could clearly hear the 3 teenage girls next store. Front desk stated there were no... more
The hotel is showing signs of aging but the price was good and it was only for 1 night at the beginning and end of our trip. We stayed at this hotel overnight on our way to the airport to Mexico. The rate was okay & we had the long term parking deal which was convenient. Close to the airport, clean, comfortable with two attached restaurants. Great value for under $100 I would stay here again, Rooms might need some renovation, however, where can you get a room in Vancouver for under $100 per night? I would stay here again.
Clean, friendly accommodating for under $100 per night with two restaurants attached. That's a great price when looking to get close to the Vancouver airport. Rooms could use some updating, however the price point is the major attraction. I would stay here again!
My wife and I stayed here on our way to Grenada in February.
The staff were very friendly and most helpful but there is a tired look to the whole place and we were not surprised to see that it will be demolished soon - presumably to upgrade the whole hotel.
What did surprise us somewhat was that guests get...

Great stay both nights on either side of our Caribbean holiday. Free shuttle to/from the airport which is very close, decent rates, quiet, clean and super friendly/accommodating staff. Onsite Whitespot restaurant as well - will definitely stay here again!
This hotel is conveniently located, with an efficient every 30 minutes shuttle service, this hotel offers the best beds, pillows and duvets. A good choice when you just change planes and need a good night sleep. It is unfortunate that it doesn't offer a continental breakfast.
We needed a hotel near the airport for a 24 hour layover and found the Coast on TripAdvisor.
Far exceeded our expectations.
Quick check-in. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, clean room, comfy bed, good pillows.
Really liked the White Spot restaurant that was attached.
I booked it for two nights on our way back just for the bed. Lol
We booked this hotel because it was relatively close to the airport, had a shuttle pick-up & drop off service, & a reasonable price for a one night stay before heading off for a morning flight to Oahu.
A snow storm caused our flight from Vancouver Island to YVR to be cancelled, So, we had to take the ferry instead....

On entering the hotel it seemed sketchy (the surroundings), but the service was very good. The rooms were older but very clean. My room was quiet. I would not recommend this hotel for a woman traveling on her own. I had a colleague staying in another room so felt "all right".
This is a clean hotel and it has a shuttle to the airport. The shuttle was the reason I booked it as our flights were in the early am and they have 24 hour service. They have a WhiteSpot restaurant where we ate breakfast the next morning after our return trip and it was very good. Would recommend this hotel.
Got in late, rooms where freezing. It was a huge room, with a seperate bedroom and a huge kitchen table. Room dividers are sliding doors that do not meet in the middle. Free wi-fi and a regular shuttle were a major plus.
