The Fraser Inn overlooks Williams Lake from its hillside perch north of town along Hwy. 97. Large and modern, it offers a level of facilities not usually found in small ranch towns. Most rooms have great views.
We were referred here by the desk clerk at the Best Western hotel which was full. When we arrived at the Coast Fraser Inn, Connie at the front desk was so kind and she cheerfully checked us in.
The room was so much nicer than we expected for the reasonable nightly rate! It had a view of the small Williams Lake community and was very clean. There was a coffee pot, tea selection, corkscrew, wine...

We found childrens toys around the beds so figured the cleaning staff take short cuts.
Had not stayed at this hotel before and made a reservation based on what I saw on their web site. When I got to the hotel, the parking lot was very busy and the front desk clerk finally found my reservation and checked me in.
When I opened the door to my room it smelled like stale smoke, but I know this is a non-smoking hotel. The room in not a bad size. Nice size LG screen, good-sized...

This hotel shares its building with a Boston Pizza and there is a Beer and wine store within walking distance - hotel is clean and the employees friendly - only drawback was that the carpet in our room was wrinkled in a spot that we had to keep walking over - but I am sure that they will fix that... more
This was one in a series of accommodation we organized tour through BC Ferries. We were a little concerned when we saw it located on the highway, but were given a room on the quiet side overlooking town, and it was very quiet. The other side might have been different given the steep hill and heavy traffic. Nevertheless the room... more
Stayed here the past weekend and wasn't disappointed. Been staying at the best western last couple trips but decided to change because there service was horrible. Right when you walk through the door of this hotel they greet you with a smile and make you feel like your at home. The rooms were clean, price was fair compared to other... more
I had bad check out service at the Best Western so I stayed at Coast under the recommendation of a friend that it was good for a $100. I checked in, staff were nice, but the price was 129+ tax , step into the elevator and it's gross, and run down. At least spend $20 and replace the carpet. Not... more
Basic hotel. Clean. Overpriced...just because there are not too many other options. Nice throwback to the 80's. Breakfast included, but rather dull and monotonous. This hotel does not have a proper kitchen and it shows. I have been to many much smaller properties around the world and a good, on the spot made breakfast makes one forget about other things...not... more
I had made reservation over the phone a month before my visit to williams lake. I arrived in afternoon to find out someone was already in the room I had rented. I waited at the front desk for over an hour waiting to get another room. The staff seem confused and made this very awkward. I was ok with what... more
The hotel staff are very nice and professional. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and had lots of variety. The hotel itself, while clean and relatively comfortable, is getting a bit long in the tooth. Beautiful flat screen TV and complimentary wireless internet in the guest rooms are really appreciated. My room had an odd odour to it so I kept... more
Stayed in February 2014 and found the hotel staff to be very friendly and accommodating to our kitty who is pretty much a part of the family. Room was well laid out and very close to Boston Pizza. Room stayed fairly warm considering how cold it was outside this particular weekend. Breakfast was included in the room stay and seemed... more
Greeted pleasantly and professionally by Victoria made our stay feel so homey.
The beds were so inviting and comfortable.
The room had a great decor and I was welcomed to roominess and warmth.
The bathroom and shower were very clean and I had a great shower.

the room was clean and well kept. bed was comfortable and cable service was adequate. Morning breakfast was always good, only downside was the heater/cooler unit in the room- the fan never stopped running 24/7
We stayed here for a weekend for my son's hockey tournament in Williams Lake. The hotel was perfect for our needs, weas clean, quiet and a good location. There is a Boston Pizza on site for lunch and supper, and the hotel includes a nice breakfast in the room price. The only complaint we heard from all the rooms we... more
The hotel has easy access and a friendly welcome when you arrive. The view from the room was quite extensive and interesting. The room was a bit on the older side but it was clean & the bedding was good.
The room was clean and average. I stay at this hotel ever time I go to Williams Lake for business. The heating unit is noisy, but it does not take long to heat up the room.
The Boston Pizza restaurant, pub and breakfast room make it convenient to stay at this hotel.
You think when you come to a chain like Coast hotels you would get at least a decent place to stay. It was horribly dirty. There was garbage behind the bed. Everything was sticky, or dusty. Inside the tv stand was dusty. The floor was gross. The chambermaid put a pillow back on our bed that we had accidentally gotten... more
The Coast Fraser Inn in Williams Lake provides good value and a comfortable stay. the rooms are clean and well maintained with really good beds. The staff are always accommodating. Stayed at this hotel for work for two nights. Was told by a "local" it had been renovated about 3 years ago. The GOOD first: my room was clean and bed comfortable. Room was quiet. Front desk staff (young lady - forget her name) was cheery, efficient and helpful. Location very good; though on highway 97 it was quiet but... more
The room was quiet and clean. There was a musty old smoke smell that was off putting. Not sure if the room was previously smoking. They use eco friendly soaps and shampoos instead of silly small shampoos etc. So that was nice to see in a larger hotel.
This is a older hotel but it's been updated/maintained very well. Check in was quick. Room was large. Hotel is located just off highway so easy to find and convenient.
The only issue is the breakfast, the eggs that were served are mushy due to them being pre cooked. The hotel might save some money this way but I would...

On arrival Meagan at the front desk is kind, helpful, & knowlagable. Our room is very clean, spacious, and the decor is business executive elegant. Old smelly rooms and when we first went in we thought someone was in the beds because the comforters were so bumpy. They give you a long list of TV channels but they only give you a few stations. Mould in the tub drain, so forget about having a bath!
Excellent service, average breakfast, very comfortable room. Newer hotel which is very clean and fresh, good air conditioning system, very comfortable beds. BP's Lounge on the lowest floor was quiet and has a nice patio to watch the sunset from.
We arrived at 1:00am and were given a special rate..much lower than expected!!! the rooms was modern and clean with a few little extras that most hotels don't usually provide anymore, and in the morning we enjoyed a complimentary HOT breakfast!! bacon, eggs, sausage, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, and regular pastries, bread, cereal, coffee, tea's, and juices. Staff was very... more
The hotel is right off highway 97 south. My room faced the valley and was quiet with a view to the west of the surrounding area. A Boston Pizza restaurant is attached to the hotel. stayed here overnight, and it was fine. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a nice view. Didn't have time to eat in the restaurant this trip. Was driving through town onvthe busiest days of the year and managed to get a dbl queen in the pet friendly section.
Rooms are nice. Pretty standard, but they are clean.. I would stay here again..My dog and cat are enjoying their stay
I have been staying at this hotel on a weekly basis for the better part of a decade. The staff have always been very helpful and courteous. The rooms are comfortable, clean and comparably priced. As a frequent customer I cannot say enough good things about all of the staff at the coast in Williams Lake. A pat on their backs is well deserved.

Stayed here a couple of times passing through. Service at the desk is really good and Boston Pizza open late is convenient when getting late. The rooms are a little to be desired-dated and linens are low quality but when your tired and you just need a bed, it'll do.

We had stayed at the Coast Fraser Inn (CFI) for 1-2 days at a time and enjoyed it. In March 2013 our daughter was due to give birth to our first grandchild in Williams Lake. You can always count on a well-run, clean hotel when you see the name “Coast Hotel” and this one was no exception. It was very well maintained, clean and the service was excellent.
It is pet friendly and we had no difficulty checking in with our Yellow Lab dog
Loved this hotel! Friendly, great location- close to the arena! Clean rooms, very comfortable beds, except the pillows were very small. Would stay again- actually I am this weekend again! Very handy that the Boston Pizza is attached. Great breakfast in the morning! Best thing was the very friendly staff!
We had been staying at a brand new hotel in town, and had been disappointed a few times. This hotel addressed all of our concerns...no light shining through the large gaps in the door to the hall, quiet, blessed quiet, comfortable bed and bedding, clean, even the in room coffee was good (although I don't care for heiffer dust). We spent two nights here and requested a quiet room as there were a lot of young families there for a hockey tournament. Clean and comfortable rooms with complimentary wireless Internet that worked well.
The evening front desk staff was awesome… very accommodating and friendly, the day staff not so much.
Breakfast was "so-so" - as expected for a complimentary breakfast.
Overall a good hotel for Williams Lake… I would stay again.
The rooms are old and the bed was too soft. I was expecting a simple room and that is what they have. Simple but decent buffet breakfast in the morning. Below average gym. But this is Williams Lake and you dont go there expecting high end hotels.
Big clean rooms with big and comfortable beds. The bathroom is clean but the colour of the bathtube turned from white to yellow-grew. It's because it is a little bit older, but it is clean. Breakfast comes with toast, fresh fruits, cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. Yoghurt is also available. Nice hotel.
Very good front desk staffing at this hotel. Easy to access from the highway. Centeral to Williams Lake area. Boston Pizza in the same complex for a quick bite and small drink. As compared to the other hotels in the area this a good deal.
Pleasantly surprised by how modern this place looked - after staying at a couple of "inns" on our journey to and from Alaska, was not expecting this level of facility! Room spacious, comfortable, and clean. Attached to a Boston Pizza, so food and bar was nice and close. Breakfast was typical fare for a free breakfast - plenty to get... more
This place was good, not great. The staff was very good, helpful, and friendly. The room was a bit dingy, but adequately clean. Beds were average in comfort. My room was on the top floor and I had quite a good view of the valley and lake. The room was good sized, very clean and comfortable, well equipped with fridge & coffee maker. There is a small spa tub in the fitness room and it was good to relax at the end of a busy day. My only... more
I have stayed here a many times, and everything is usually great! Williams Lake was not a destination but a stopping point. Arrived after 8pm and happy to see Boston Pizza (in hotel) was still open to grab a late bite. Only spent one night and was comfortable enough. The property tries to be higher end but it is old and cosmetically updated. Rooms do have flat screen TV’s and fairly nice furniture. I understand that this town is a small town and that there are only so many places to stay, but this hotel has to understand that people can only take so much. I travel to Willams Lake for work periodically and have stayed at other places in the area. I've found the Coast Fraser Inn to be the best bargain for room quality, service and value.
