Somewhat apart from the downtown area, the Coast Capri offers large, newly furbished rooms, most with balconies. You'll need to drive to the beaches from here, and the surrounding blocks are filled with strip malls, but if you can't get into one of the beachfront hotels yet still want high-quality lodgings, then this is your next-best choice. The Vintage Dining Room is a great old-fashioned... more
Just checked in here for a first time stay and feeling VERY underwhelmed so far. Might change this rating if the experience improves over our 3-day stay but we will see...
We have been assigned a room on the ground floor, which feels like a cheap motel, especially with the parking lot outside the window. Can hear our next door neighbors talking through the wall. Room is quite small. All this...

Newly renovated and nicely decorated. The room was large and very clean. The breakfast was included and had most things that were needed but could've had a bit more fresh fruit. Although there was a bit of a back up at the front desk the friendly staff more than made up for that.
We (family of 4 with 2 kids) stayed at this hotel for August long weekend Aug 4-6 for 2 nights. The experience was like no other anywhere else in the world, and not in a good sense.
Our experience started with entering with 10 year old boy and our luggage the completely TRASHED room. It supposed to be just a...

I stayed there for an anniversary weekend with my husband in July 2011, upon checking in we were upgraded to their suite on top floor with a full balcony and beautiful jacuzzi ! I was so happy as all I did was request an extra special room for our anniversary, but did not expect this! The staff was great so... more
I stayed here for a night with my daughter while in Kelowna.
First we found it a bit confusing to find the front entrance of the hotel. There are many other buildings surrounding it. Once we got parked we checked in. The front staff were pleasant, and gave us a room on the second floor facing the pool.
Once in...

The casual dining bar area has an open very attractive atmosphere with live music. The food was outstanding in the sophisticated dining room. The pool in the courtyard was warm and made a great place to sit outside. I appreciated the balconies and the exercise room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location s convenient and the beds... more
This hotel was very clean and newly renovated.
Rooms
The rooms have a private balcony with chairs. It was nice to sit outside in the evening to unwind and relax. (Make sure you don’t book an end room as they have smaller balconies (one chair). The rooms are clean and green friendly. Large shampoo and body wash bottles to save...

This was the worst hotel room we have had. Quoted 190 plus tax.
Not the cleanest room. Broken soap and shampoo pumps, no hand soap in the bathroom.
Stains in bathroom. Broken security chain, wires hanging from the ceiling from the old? Smoke detector. Could hear absolutely EVERYTHING from the next rooms. To top it off ,the blanket(white) stained and...

The hotel was clean and quiet. It's a short walk or cab ride to downtown Kelowna. The breakfast in the morning is very good for an included breakfast. The restaurants in the hotel are very good. Overall, for the price it's a great place to stay.
Nice location close to beaches and downtown shops
Good full breakfast buffet included in the room price
Free parking
Comfy queen size beds with duvets
updated bathroom
friendly helpful staff
great pool area with lounge chairs
restaurants in walking distance
Wow!
What a great hotel. Capri was always special because of its history, and the renovations have only made it better.
Beautiful lobby, incredible big rooms. Bathroom looks great - clean and bright. Shower pressure was incredible...like getting hit with a bat the pressure was so good.
I've stayed at many of the other Kelowna hotels and none come close...

Stayed at the hotel from July 12-15, with 3 other friends. Check in was very smooth and quick, and the staff is very friendly. There is lots of free parking around the hotel, all you need to do is register your car with front desk. We had booked a Superior Room with 2 queen size beds. There was definitely enough... more
we stayed at the hotel for one week and was in touch with staff prior to arrival. Very helpful and accommodating. The hotel was very nice, clean and quiet. Our rooms were great, comfortable linens, spacious and nice view of the pool and mountains. Breakfast every morning was an added bonus, only suggestion would be to change up the buffet... more
We booked this hotel last minute on our way further south in the okanagan. Prices were high for most of the chain hotels in the area, and we ended up settling on the Coast. We did have a late night snack in the lounge while listening to live music. The food was great and it was nice not to have... more
The first and only real hiccup came at the airport when the hotel shuttle was late picking me up. When I called about it they were completely apologetic and told me they'd had the wrong time written down but they'd be right there. Since I wasn't the one who booked the hotel, it's hard to say who was at fault here. When he arrived, the shuttle driver was super friendly and had lots to tell me... more
We stayed one night at this lovely hotel. We were served right away upon check in and were thrilled to be upgraded to one of the new rooms. Decor was really nice and there is a view of pool from every room it seems. Everything was really clean. Breakfast in the morning was a typical buffet breakfast but the experience... more
I stay here frequently. They are finishing off renovations that have been conducted descreetly and the workers were very polite when they needed to work in public areas. I like the location and the staff here. They are always friendly and helpful. I was here on business and the rooms are easy to work in with good wifi. Great beds.... more
Great Hotel to stay at while in the Kelowna area. Great location. Excellent and accommodating staff. Very pleasant atmosphere. Clean comfortable rooms. Asked for a room overlooking the pool - no problem - Sliding doors right on to the pool deck. Could not be more accommodating. Will certainly continue to stay at this hotel when in Kelowna,
This hotel is located close to the downtown core giving easy access to shopping and recreation.
The included buffet breakfast is a very nice feature.
Rooms are clean and comfortable while being well appointed complete with individual balcony's and free Wifi.
I would definably stay there again!
We found this place by a referral from another hotel, upon checking we noticed that we were in a nice hotel and the room did not disappoint. We had asked for a king size bed and were amazed at the spacious room that went with it!
Fully equipped with every little thing you could need, about the only thing I...

Have been going to this hotel for the past several years. I like it because Im known to the staff and I feel comfortable in this hotel. Is it the fanciest place in town? No but very clean, great rooms and dog friendly!! The staff is very nice, lots of smiles, hellos and dog treats!! This hotel is being renovated. We had the fortune of staying in a recently renovated room. It was roomy very clean, a comfortable bed. We loved that it is pet friendly, we brought our little dog. Staff were friendly..we would stay here again!
We stayed at this hotel over New Years Eve. We ate at the Vintage Room, their in house restaurant and it was quite good. The hotel is a nice sort of business class hotel, it has a pool, hot tub and gym that we enjoyed. It is a bit further from 'downtown', and we needed a cab to get into... more
Our most recent stay at this property was a disappointment, mainly because the room being sold as a "Superior" was very small. If one person sat at the desk, the other had to climb onto the bed to get around. Clearly the room needed to be larger to accommodate the king bed and furniture. Suggestion: If you want more than... more
Please note, I have not actually stayed at the Coast Capri. I read here on TripAdvisor about a renovation and I wanted to know if it was still ongoing. Good check in service but room stank of cigarettes and bed had bed bugs. Immediately complained and got switched to another room. Not what you need when on honeymoon. Explained this but nothing offered in compensation
Older hotel but well maintained and furnished, currently undergoing a renovation. It is centrally located with a small shopping mall and a few restaurants within walking distance but you will need a car to go most places of interest. The rooms are on the small side, but housekeeping is very good. It now offers complimentary breakfast. Nice outdoor pool located... more
Not a bad hotel but a little pricey for what you get. The pool area is pretty nice and the breakfast is pretty good. The room we had was nice. But at the end of the day its probably a little average at best. I might try something a little newer next time.
We were in Kelowna for business and stayed 2 nights at the Coast Capri. They were doing renovation, but it didn't really bother us. The beds were confortable, the hot breakfast was good and included in the price of the room. We had the reunion at the hotel. The food at lunch was also excellent. We didn't use the outside... more
From one year to the next (it seems), they've added a lovely hot buffet breakfast in the main restaurant included in the room price. I do a lot of business travel, and that was an unexpected plus. I believe my last stay was leisure travel. Convenient location, with a small mall right next door, good restaurants nearby. Room was clean,... more
I was booked into this hotel for a conference and was pleased with the overall experience. While my room was not huge by many standards, I have to say the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Nice amenities (pool, fitness) and the restaurant food was good. Also the staff were more than friendly and accommodating.
Stayed 2 nights here. Fair and clean. Decent breakfast - included. Location ok. I'd stay again. No complaints. Some renos going on but nothing that gets in the way noisewise or other. All in all . Ok and not bad.
We recently stopped at the Coast Capri Hotel for one night. The hotel is right in the centre of everything you need. Shopping, wine store, restaurants, transit, etc. However, the property is getting old and is in need of a major renovation and upgrade. Our room, with a nice large comfortable king sized be lacked space otherwise. We looked out... more
During the years we have stayed at the Capri for it's convenient downtown location. Hotel is centrally located in the core of Kelowna's strip mall district and restaurants. Yes, shopping is all within walking distance if you want to walk long blocks. But that summertime Okanagan dry heat will get to you, eventually!
The hotel was in dire need of...

I’ve had many great stays at the Coast Capri, but have to say I might try somewhere a little bit closer to the water next time around. Stayed here with a team in September. Great location with a Old Spaghetti Factory across the parking lot. Has a beer and wine store on site - some would find this a plus, some a negative - didn't make a difference to me. :) The breakfast was fantastic in an attractive restaurant setting. Staying there again in March!
We stayed at the Capri for 4 nights in December and were quite pleased with our experience. Our room was very nice (if surprisingly small for a "Superior" designation). The renovations have them down to one little elevator, with poorly functioning floor buttons (you have to press the button repeatedly to get it to work), but the hotel was quiet,... more
The lobby and rooms were very nice - clean and well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. My first night there, I could hear the people in the next room talking. They weren't partying - just talking - I don't expect to hear that in a hotel. Also, my dinner in the lounge/grill took 2 hours. I didn't have... more
There is nothing much to speak about this hotel. Rooms are clean but too small to accomodate 2 adults and one child. They have a nice small pool. Lobby is good, Staff needs more training on how to deal with customer issues. I will give this hotel another try during my visit to Kelowana early next year.
The Capri always does a great event. We have attended a dinner and dance almost every year for the past 10 years for a local Club. Our drive in entrance to the Capri was a little confusing..seemed only one way into the front desk turn around. If you want to stay at a nice, clean hotel while visiting Kelowna I would say to stay at the Coast Capri Hotel. My room was on the small side but it had all I needed. Close to many things, stores, attractions and wineries. Enjoy your stay as I did.
We ate in the poolside cafe and the food was excellent, and very well priced too. Calamari was delicious and very good sized portion. Easy to walk to everything. Not in industrial location as previous review stated. It is on the main drive through town - close to restaurants, shopping, downtown - can walk to everything.
The front side of the hotel is currently being refurbed - the building is partly closed. No lift available to our floor -second. Had to lug heavy cases up the stairs. Pool part drained and closed. Reception staff advise its because they are trying to sort out what's 'gone wrong' with it. No indication when it will re-open. All very... more

This hotel is in a very industrial part of town too far away from the centre to walk. When we arrived we were informed that the lifts were not working and so we had to hump our cases up 2 floor using the service staircase. The room was so small and rather grubby. We had booked as a party of... more
The hotel is in a tatty area next to a busy road on the edge of downtown but don't let that put you off; the staff are friendly, the hotel is clean and functional for a traveler. I was really impressed with this hotel -- it felt like a very upscale mid-range hotel (think a high-end Holiday Inn). Renovations are great.
I usually stay with relatives when I visit Kelowna, but I always stay at least one night at the Capri Hotel. If you go in the summer, try to book a poolside room, which allows you to get to the pool directly from your room. This hotel looks better on the inside than the outside, but it is a Kelowna tradition, the staff are friendly and helpful and the pool is heaven. The atmosphere is great.... more
If you do book a stay at this hotel do not expect the 4 star quality it promotes. I would say it is a 2 star hotel at best. The rooms are very dated with old bathrooms and the mattresses are so worn out that they sag in the middle. The boutique shops they promote are really just a bunch of fast food chains. The hotel is about a half an hour walk into the main centre of Kelowna so we mainly used... more
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Coast Capri Hotel this year. The rooms were very clean including the bathroom. The staff was friendly and courteous. The pool area was nice and towels were readily available. It's a close drive to downtown and the lakes. We would most definitely stay here again!
I booked my room through a travel agency; rate quoted and rate charged was way more than the booked rate agreed. I was told that the reason for the rate difference was because I was placed in a more superior room, which I was not convinced as the previous occupant's invoice was left in my room and his rate was what I should have been charged in the first place. I have complained upon check out... more
