Great food, terrible service
July 27, 2014Love the food at this place but am getting tired of being treated like a nuisance every time I order something. There was a hair in our food one time and they did absolutely nothing about it. It's a love hate with this place because I love the food but hate, hate, hate the service!!

Disgusting - want to vomit now
May 29, 2014The food is absolutely disgusting in this place. I am sorry, but I have never seen a maki roll that is a size of a persons fist. They will give you so much rice every roll and sushi you order. They do this so that it will fill you up a lot quicker so that they don't loose much profit.... more

Something for everyone
October 19, 2013We went here with a group of people and not everyone likes Sushi but everyone found something on the menu which they enjoyed. Woodstock needs more variety for restaurants so Chiba is a great addition.

Beware of what time you enter the restaurant as you may be charged dinner prices when it is actually lunch

Bad service
April 19, 2013they have good food but they have really bad service , we went when the resturant was almost empty and our food took toooo long or never showed up, when we asked they would rudely say 'it takes long to make' .we stayed for 45min and only had a few items ..for 21$/person not worth it at all.

We drive 45 mins each way, for the all you can eat lunch
March 08, 2013Great value, we drive 45 minutes each way just for their All You Can Eat lunch--terrific value for only $12.99 per adult. Great food, service is passable and usually friendly especially with our kids. We're going back again this Sunday!

Service gets worse every time
March 01, 2013After numerous experiences of terrible service I stopped going for several months. I tried it again tonight and as usual they were up to their old hijinks. The first round comes but they magically forget to bring you anyhig you order after the first round. When you ask what is taking so long, they rudely tell you it's coming.

Best sushi but terrible service
December 31, 2012My friends and I go once or twice a month. I can safely say it is the best sushi I have ever had. The down side is the service. It is consistently terrible. The first round comes out fine but if you make subsequent orders it takes forever and sometimes never comes at all. The staff can be rather rude... more

Depends what you like in Japanese/Asian food
October 11, 2012The sushi is pretty good, but other dishes that I have tried, I have not cared for. If you have the "all you can eat", they combine everyone's orders if you order the same thing. It is very frustrating and confusing. Also, the service is very inconsistent and the servers don't speak very good English.

I have been a faithful attendee of this restaurant since it has opened. However, while the food has stayed decent, the service is in steady decline. Servers come and go from this place as fast as their rolls. Rarely do you see floor staff last more than a few moths and then its retraining time.

September 23, 2012Chiba is so good I usually end up there once a week. Good food for the value and it usually comes quickly. Big choice of sushi and other food in nice AYCE sushi place

The food in this place, where we had dinner with 2, was good, a good balance between ingreadients and rice in the maki rolls, unlike in some other restaurants where you have a lot of rice and no ingredients.

July 23, 2012I would definately recommend the food but be ready to wait for a long time between servers. The food came in a reasonable time after being ordered it just seemed like the servers were deliberately not serving quickly possibly to reduce the amount of food consumed

I really enjoyed Chiba Sushi. It's on par with most Japanese restaurants I've been to. Though that may not sound like I'm heaping much praise, that actually isn't the case. It's actually pretty good, especially since there is little competition around these parts.
The restaurant is primarily an all you eat establishment, but they do offer an a la carte...

Good all you can eat Sushi in rural Ontario
May 02, 2012I found this place using Trip Advisor and was very happy. The food was very good and the restaurant was clean and appeared to be busy considering it was a midweek night. The service was very good and the staff were friendly. At $18.99 Canadian for all you can eat Sushi It'S hard to go wrong.

Best Restaurant in Woodstock
April 06, 2012The food is delicious. If you like tempura you will not find it better anywhere. Small portions so you can try different things. Perfect for kids...ours love it. Reasonable price. Friends from TO say it is as good as if not better than restaurants there with better service, itimate atmosphere and friendlier prices.
