A hip bar hidden inside a fresh and delicious restaurant!
While visiting Hamilton my boyfriend and I decided to grab some food in this bar. It looked OK and it was quiet but I guess it was quiet for a reason.
Everything about our meal was bad and tasteless, like seriously, how can you make a hot dog or a salad taste bad? The hot dog was dry and the...

We decided to join in on a friend's birthday celebration here. Based on the cleanliness, dull lighting, dust & gum everywhere...I would never put any food from this place in-or-around my mouth. I should be clear that we visited at 10pm; just as the "bar scene" was starting; long past when food was being served.
One piece of advice that's...

I don't normally finish my plate but this i had to. Fabulous dinner. Taco's and burritos are to die for. Even the french fires are amazing. They have this hot sauce vinegar that's so yummy. Great staff too
as a "bar" I don't recommend it, the below review by Paul is bang on.
HOWEVER
at off-times, which lets recall is more often than not. This is a great place to stop in for a custom burrito, or other 'mexican' pub foods. I know I've ordered something other than a made to order burrito, but I can't remember what...

One of the more popular hess village bars. Great music. Keep in mind you need to be pretty intoxicated to enjoy yourself here. This shoulder-to-shoulder bar is small, sweaty and jam-packed with hipsters. Not a sit-down place. Hold onto your drink tightly - you will be be pushed around.
Super cute! We went Friday night, got a booth, great drinks! Fantastic music :) very hipster and anything goes!
I fell in love with my shrimp. It was the happiest day of my life.It is still the same, and that is such a good feeling.
Good food. If your not sure what you want take a remade menu item or you can make your own burrito with the make your menu list. Some stuff costs extra so be careful or you'll have a 20 dollar burritto.
The menu is actually getting better! More choices, some great new appetizers and deserts. Rolling Rock on draft is awesome too. Keep up the good work, the last 4 visits everything has gotten better each time!!! Maybe the best burritos in Canada.
Go here!
Great burritos - you can design your own, but I would almost rather they came in TWO wraps because the monster it comes in is the size of your face.
No complaints other than the sheer size of my burrito, but the staff were casual, nice and helpful. Service was pretty speedy.
The place isn't huge though, so maybe have a nearby plan B in case you show up and it's full.
(2 stars for service, 4 stars for food)
Yummy burritos in Hess Village! Service is sub-par but it's hard to screw up when customers just have to fill out a sheet with their order and hand it to the server (one time, they *still* managed to give me the wrong burrito... I only realized when I already took a bite!). Tons of toppings to choose from, and most of them are free, except guacamole and a...

Smells like beer-cured wood, but that just adds to it's charm. I've never been there for drinks, but when I was there for dinner, it reminded me of the good old days of drinking till you got the spins the first time you got up to go to the bathroom. Really comfortable laid back feel.
As for lunch, quite simply the very best burritos I have ever experienced. Fully customizable, you get a great...

I unfortunately haven't tried the burritos, which I've been meaning to since I've heard so much about them. The best thing about Che's is the Friday Night No Standards Night, with DJ's Mac and AA. I haven't been in awhile, but I always had a blast - cool people, decently priced drinks and awesome music. The DJ's spin indie rock and electroclash stuff mostly - M.I.A, MGMT, Kings of Leon, Blur,... more
