Edmonton's premier Motel located minutes from the Edmonton International Airport
House repairs forced us to rent a room for the night, Expedia got us the last one on the south side of town. The room was clean, quite and warm. First time using on line booking, it worked well.
Not enough towels way to hot and really dirty , no air conditioning , the fridge clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while
The room that we stayed in was clean, thought the room was a little small but it had everything we really needed a good bang for your buck if you don't need a lot of amenities we stated for 4 days and 5 nights there were no issues it was quiet no parties staff were accommodating I will defiantly stay... more
Recently renovated room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely return for the price and convenience.
Rude staff. Small rooms. 20% hidden fees. Isolated hotel. Avoid at all cost.
My Boyfriend and I chose this hotel for its affordable rates and semi good reviews on expedia, we only wanted a motel for 2 nights as this is only a stopover. We aren't picky people and have both stayed in hostels and dodgy places before. This motel takes the cake on horrible service and its inability to tell us things... more
What a dump. I heard banging all night, sounded like someone was doing construction work...I mean WTH was this person doing until midnight!!!! Heard other banging around from all directions. bathroom has mold all over the shower, (to the owners) its amazing what cleaning products can do these days. Heater only worked at one setting HOT. Found hairs all over... more
me and my boyfriend stayed here for a night and we find the place affordable and they have a good service. the front desk is very nice he gave us special price for a special room. the place is quiet and clean...compare to other motel here is better place with reasonable rate. =)
The motel has a very friendy staff and accommodating to all your needs. The rooms are clean smell fresh and very nice furnitures with flat screen tv. Room electronic doors are cool and awesome.Me and my friend enjoyed our stay here very quiet and close to all amenities plus new open tim hortons store is just around the place. Thier... more
We were in the motel on the 16 jan it is a nice property, clean, very friendly staff, 24/7 front desk service, taxi in few minutes, close to the airport, clean rooms, lots of parking space. We really loved the environment of the hotel, room rates are reasonable Easy on pocket. Very nice place to stay.
This was a nice place to stay overnight before an early morning flight
Don't know if it changed hands recently, but I didn't experience problems mentioned in other reviews. Stayed over Christmasand had no problems. Rooms are small for more than two people. It isn't a five star hotel, but for what you pay is alright. Kitchenette is small but adequate.Rooms are small for more than two people, we had four and with... more
The floor could either use a good cleaning or be replaced. There was no place to hang up towels in the bathroom if you didn't want to get the clean ones dirty.
I stayed for one night and it will be my last. Front desk lady doesn't treat her customers politely. Doesn't respect price and assume that clients are lying regarding the numbers of client per room. It might be a motel but it's simple customer service.
Bad business.
We enjoyed our stay. The jacuzzi room was clean, quiet, and nicely renovated. Great for the price we paid. Staff was inattentive.
I had stayed at this place just for an overnighter. Ended up travelling a little lighter as one of my personal belongings went missing that was of significant sentimental value.
The item went missing while out to tour around the city. When asked about the item, management was interestingly accurate as to the type of items that went missing when...

We stayed at this motel because it was near the exit we needed. The sign out front does say 59.99, we paid about 90$ for two beds/night. Did not like the fact that you could smell cigarette smoke even though we were in a non smoking room. And the bathroom really needs a makeover ! We did have a kitchen... more

Hi my name is John Basi, My family has owned and operated the Chateau Motel since 1994. We take great pride in our Motel. We have invested millions of dollars back into the motel. We truly feel we are one of the best MOTELS in western Canada. We have seen alot of changes in the MOTEL industry over the years. We have tried to stay ahead of the curve. We put in flat...

Our family split two rooms which seemed clean, owners seem ho-hum about your business and are minimally friendly. Carpets looked good as did the rest of the room.
It is a big hard to access, so please note, if you drive past it heading south, your best to find a place in Leduc because the next turn-off is 10+km beyond....

Two nights of hell. Room 223 was about 40 degrees. Turned off the furnace and airconditioner on at full speed. Christmas day in Edmonton... minus 28 outside. Furnace did not turn off 100% and airconditioner only worked maybe 40%. We had to continually open the door to get cold air in. One spoon, fork and a knife that someone heated up for crack or something. Deadbolt did not work and... more
Terrible. Dont bother.
Rooms stunk like urine. Plenty of other places for the same price. It was just terrible.
The rooms stunk like smoke and urine. When asked if we could move non smoking room, the clerk replied 'it is'. There was a stoned front desk attendant totally uninterested in us, and they threw out personal belongings accidentally left the day after we checked out. Hands down the worst hotel I've ever been to.
We saw us two times this year: The first and the last!!
We booked a family suite for 5 persons, nobody told us, that the suit is in the basement - a real fake. Chairs, dishes and a very small table for only 3 persons, not for 5. In the basement you feel like in a jaílhouse - nearly no daylight.
Very bad service from a young boy at the front desk - the work he did not invent. More chairs,...

My fiance and I spent our two year anniversary in Edmonton at the Chateau Motel. We gave them our credit card number to verify our accommodations explaining to them that we were going to pay cash for our stay. When we got there they told us that they gave our room away because our credit card didn't go through, they did give us a different room, however, the gentleman was quite rude about it.... more
I stayed here while on a work trip, the price was very reasonable and the rooms had everything I needed to be comfortable. Very clean and worth checking into. I advise you to not stay next door at the ellerslie motel.
My family and I stayed here for 2 nights and really like the room we had. We stayed in one of the basement suites. It had two bedrooms, large living room with big flatscreen tv, and big kitchen. There were a few problems. Our shower was broken and the worst was the stairs leading down to our room were unsafe.... more
This was a very nice and comfortable hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definately would stay here again!
I've been travelling for work, staying in a variety of motels, sometimes for over a week. I was so excited to see a kitchenette with the basics where I could actually cook for myself instead of buying fast food.. and a real fridge too not a bar fridge. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom clean with a one-piece tub/shower,... more
Poor rating but cheap for the oil patch. Tiniest room I can ever remember. Clean buy cheesy. What can one expect? Arrive late. Fall asleep. The wake up call worked. Go to airport. Fly away.
Have been staying here off and on for years and pretty much weekly for a day or two since last fall. as described I have stayed in many, many different rooms and have not experienced any uncleanliness as are on some of the other reviews. Over the years it has been great to see some of the upgrades they have... more
Good as last resource when you can't find anything else at night. Cheap.
Well maintained.. Friendly staff.. The rooms are pretty up to date... I left my watch there and they contacted me right away informing me that a valuable was left and that I should come pick it up whenever possibile. Good people :)
I had a great stay at the Chateau they offered great service for a great low price.. the staff was friendly and the rooms were newly renovated.
One of the worst motel's ever. Filthy is the only word for it. We stayed here because it was cheap and we had to stay for a week in Edmonton. Would not recommend staying here.
There were prescription drugs and clipped toenails behind the night stand, dirt etc. I left a note for the cleaning staff to vacum but good...

Stayed here for a night.
- Floor had cigarette butts on the floor
- Washroom ceiling would leak water whenever anyone in an adjacent room would use the tap
- Room smelled really bad - reeked of cigarettes
- Sheets looked dirty
- Washroom fixtures were very rusty
- Room was very small
- Lots of noise outside from rowdy/fighting...

If you are wanting to stay somewhere in Edmonton where you dont have to pay a whole lot but want clean rooms i suggest checking out the chateau motel. The beds are so comfy. It is a bit hard to find the place, if you are new to the area, but its worth it.
I stayed at the chateau motel for a month.1) the staff was very friendly. 2) the room that we stayed in (two beds and kitchen) was newly renovated with up to date furniture and a flat screen television. Room service was at our door every day to ensure our experience was pleasureful. My family and I and loved it. This... more
Definitely not clean and the sign says $59 but no rooms exists at that rate... Got the room on Priceline for $62 but when went to pay was charged $75 even with a 9% tax should have been $67.58 You get what you pay for in this case... Rooms smell and the bathroom looked like it was never cleaned. Hair... more
I booked with this Hotel thru Expedia.ca. When I checked-in, they charged me a different amount which was not the same as published on the Expedia website. I did let it go because I presumed taxes were not included on the Expedia calculations which I also found unusual as whenever I book with Expedia, the amount they publish always includes everything. Then the worse isn't happening yet. In the... more
I am not generally fussy about where I stay & have stayed a couple times when arriving late. I have phoned & been told there were no more $59 rooms available. While pondering my predicament, I was told there was a possible checkout & I could have that room for $75 but talked it down to $65. Ten minutes later... more
I travel frequently on business; in 2010 I stayed 100+ nights in motels across Alberta, BC and in the U.S.A.. Without exception the staff showed a commitment to making our stay as pleasant as possible. I would highly recommend a stay at this “home away from home” in Edmonton .an excellent experience. From the welcoming front desk staff to the... more
The rooms in this Motel are very clean. It is very family like. The rooms are very nice with a lot of extras. My wife and I have been coming here for 15 years. We stay in no other Motel when we are in Edmonton.
Clean and quiet rooms for quite the price points...I stayed for a week cause I was attending a wedding.. the service was spectacular and the rooms were well maintained..the flat screen tv were quiet impressive
I don't know where to start with this one. This motel advertises on a big old neon sign 59.99 rooms which of course is not the case. It also boldly advertises being clean which it most definitely is not. I got a kitchenette room with a queen bed. Well if you call two burners, one fork, one spoon, two knives,... more
I was going into Edmonton at about 02:00 in the morning on a Friday and came across this Motel. The hotel had a great rate of 85 dollars for a room with two queen sized beds and a kitchenette which has a medium sized fridge, a two burner stove and a dedicated sink with cupboards and dishes. However, the staff was kind enough to provide me with a discount due to the late hour, so, I paid only 75... more
I arrived at the Motel after seeing the sign about the fifty-nine dollar rooms, which sparked our interest. Naturally that price only applies to certain rooms at certain times but the overall price for staying is pretty good. I believe the price for a room with two Queens and a kitchenette including fridge, sink, and two burner stove (including dishes) was eighty-five dollars, but it was late... more
The Chateau Motel is fine for what I needed: a place to stay the night while I traveled through Edmonton by myself. After my family and I were moving to Edmonton we decided to spend a night at the Chateau Motel since they advertised the 59.95 per night I thought it would be a great deal. Like many other people, the $59 rooms where 'not available' and I was charged $79. For the price I was happy with the room, new TV, Microwave, fridge and two beds. The sheets where not 100% clean, but close enough. The two gentlemen working at the front desk where very pleasant. For the price I was happy with my stay.
I am a tour manager for a band who toured Western Canada for over a year. So as you can guess, our expectations aren't that high since we stay in cheap hotels/motels every single night.
Chateau Motel we've stayed at a few times, just out of convience (close to the airport). Everytime I stay there, they give us a different...

After reading several reviews, I thought I would give this place a chance. We called and asked for non-smoking and the host said no problem and stressed how clean the rooms were.
