Lovely hotel, situated on Main Street near the mall, superstore, staples etc.. The rooms are really nice, prices are reasonable and the service is great.
Of the five hotels/motels used during this trip, this one was far superior to the others, and that does not mean the others were poor. This hotel had everything and everything right. The only possible downside is that it does not have a dining room (other than for a superior breakfast) and is located near a major intersection sometimes making it difficult to walk to nearby restaurants. A minor... more
The room was spacious, well appointed, quiet, very clean, and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The hotel is within easy walking distance to downtown for business, shopping, dining. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates comfort, convenience, and good value.
The room was great the beds were comfy but we needed a cot and it was not comfy but the breakfast was great
Very easy to locate and great location. It is situated right off of the highway but also still has a quaint setting. The tidal river located directly behind the hotel was a bonus. We arrived just in time to see the tide come in which was quite fascinating. There is a boardwalk located directly behind the hotel and as a runner, this was very convenient for me to get a good long distance run... more
The hotel is located at the tide bore of the mouth of a river. We arrived at the night of a full moon and watched the tide rising a few feet in an hour. The room is spacious. The interior is well decorated. The location is closed to attractions and groceries. We love it!
Great Time. The Pump House Restaurant was also amazing!
Lovely room - 2 queen beds with fairly spacious moving and sitting area
I have stayed at the Château Moncton in the past, when it was younger and more current, but the hotel now needs to be updated. The beds were too soft, the halls too dark, the fixtures were very dated. The location is good and the vistas are great. The staff was utilitarian but not overly friendly.
Very nice hotel, staff helpful and friendly. Very good complimentary breakfast. Convenient location to local restaurants and shopping .
easy check in nice breakfast abd clean room. Helpful staff and great position
Spacious rooms. Friendly hotel staff. Couldn't ask for much more for a one night stay. If you want to eat at Delice just around the corner on a Fri or Sat night make a reservation.
We stayed there on a recent trip to the east coast. We arrived and everything was in perfect order with our reservation. We had a nice King suite overlooking the river. We sat and watched as the river dropped because of the tide moving out.
The room was spacious and very clean. The provided bathroom amenities were excellent and the...

I stayed here for 6 nights during a trade show in Moncton for work purposes. Very clean, comfortable and a large room. Good service. Convenient location. Would definitely go back if ever in Moncton again.
I've stayed here many times and enjoyed every one. Rooms are clean and modern. The best part about Chateau Moncton is the patio. It's a huge deck overlooking the Petacodiac River. The river is actually kinda boring since there is no life in it, however when the tidal bore comes in or out, it's a good excuse to sit on... more
We stayed at the hotel for one night. It's a nice hotel in a convenient location. The room was big and clean, but a little bit of outdated. Breakfast was great with so many choices, especially thin sliced bacon. We would stay here again.
This hotel is truly gorgeous, the hotel room was spacious and pretty and every things BUT. The day we we're there, there was a wedding party going on, and they played loud music until 2 AM. When you pay for an hotel room, you don't want to be bothered with noise, especially when we had a 3 hours drive and... more
Even before stepping inside, the Chateau Moncton is impressive with its distinguish red roof and stucco walls. The front desk staff were friendly, courteous and quickly checked us in. They provided answers to our many questions about the area. Opening the door to our room was a real "Wow". It was a very large with exquisite furnishings and a large... more
Stayed 1 night in July/2014 and were very pleased. There is no restaurant however there are several within walking distance. They serve a hot breakfast which had good variety and is included in the price. We had a king room on the second floor with river view, comfortable bed and great pillows. We would stay here again and would recommend... more
Stayed here for two nights while travelling the coast. Perfect half-way point. Nothing fancy but large clean rooms, pleasant front staff. Situated right on the boardwalk connecting to a pathway along the river, great for your morning jog or evening stroll. Walking distance to trendy restaurants and night life.
We stayed here one night as we wanted to go to Hopewell Rocks. The room was nice and big and really clean. We were able to walk downtown but you are not right downtown. Nice view over the river. Good breakfast.
We stayed at the hotel just for one night at the end of July. Yes the décor is dated but the room was VERY big compared to other hotel rooms at this price. I really look for that because we are a family of 5 and most often are squished into a room. Most importantly for me the room was... more
Excellent stay. Free Breakfast is great, location is good on the river. Our choice when we stay in Moncton
We have never stayed with this hotel chain before and didn't know what to expect.
Not a bad hotel to stay in for one night passing through Moncton.very friendly staff, decent breakfast with a nice outdoor deck overlooking the river. Room is a little overstuffed with furniture. Overall a decent stay.
Excellent location right next to chocolate river and board walk that takes you to nearby restaurants and chops. Room was spacious and clean. Bad side, the bed was really too hard.
Beautiful lobby, breakfast room and patio. Room was extremely comfortable and very well furnished. Breakfast was delicious and the patio and boardwalk were more than we expected.
The day we arrived at this hotel the city was in lock down because some guy had shot five Royal Canadian Mounted Police (3 of whom died). There was a manhunt for the killer and many additional police were brought in from other provinces to help with this tragedy. Many of these police stayed at this hotel while we were... more
Our son (!0month) was intimidated by the dark furniture., so perhaps not a good hotel for children.
Decent place to stay. Riverside location is interesting in the winter rather than beautiful (snow, ice in the river, mud), but I guess would be excellent in summer. Was good for a business trip - nice desk in room and fast wifi. Not sure it would be any good for a romantic break, but late winter is probably not seeing... more
We stayed at the Chateau Moncton for two nights last week. Although the rooms have not been renovated for sometime everything is kept in tip top shape and well maintained. Spotlessly clean and comfortable and unlike most hotels these days, has two great easy chairs in the rooms in which to relax. Breakfast was superb with hot scrambled eggs coming... more
On our trip to NB we stayed at this beautiful hotel. We have never felt so pampered in our entire lives! The rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff were so friendly. We arrived before our check-in time but it was no problem at all and we were allowed in to our room right away.
Nice hotel. Very comfortable beds. Good sized rooms. Excellent included breakfast.
This is a very comfortable hotel and a very reasonable price; clean, well maintained and in a location that could only be improved by being closer to the restaurants on Main St. All staff were friendly and accommodating. It sits on the edge of the river, and has a nice patio for drinks and viewing the tidal bore. We chose... more
We had a room with a king bed overlooking the Petitcodiac River only downside was both windows in our room had trees blocking the view (room 320). Frontdesk staff friendly and the rate was very reasonable. Free wifi and plenty of parking. The room was very large with a large bathroom. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is located... more
We stayed here two years ago and enjoyed it very much. Ditto for this time. Last before, we ended up with a large suite with king bed, huge bathroom with deep-soaker bathtub, shower stall and twin sinks. One end of the suite had a nice reading area, and a long computer table for working. While there was a mini fridge... more
We had an appointment in Moncton and decided to stay overnight. Picked this hotel just to see what it was like and it was a good experience. Clean, attractive and good staff. Hadn't stayed right on Main Street for quite a while and if the weather had been warmer, we would really have enjoyed a walk on the boardwalk along the river just behind out hotel.
Nice room with view of the Pecodiac River with a boardwalk, comfortable bed, hot breakfast included and reasonable price. Staff all bilingual and friendly make you feel at home! Will return while in Moncton overnight.
Our family of 3 travelled from BC to NB for our Daughters graduation from Mt. Allison University. Knowing the limited Hotel access in Sackville, I knew it was only a 20-30 min. commute from Moncton. I picked the Chateau Moncton because of its reputation, and quiet location. We stayed there 3 nights. It is a 3-5 min. car ride to the old downtown Moncton, which can also be easily walked.... more
overall a real nice stay ,pleasant staff, and quiet at night
always nice and well located. second time there and will stay again
This was my second time staying at this hotel. The rooms are very large and clean. The bed very comfortable. And the breakfast is pretty good. I will return.
We were not satisfied with our recent stay at Chateau Moncton. We specifically requested a Queen Bed and a River View; however, we were not given these, nor were any options given to rectify the situation. The hotel had loud, obnoxious guests on one of the evenings and hotel staff chose to ignore this situation. We will not be staying again.
Chateaux Moncton has, as is said in real estate, location location location. Excellent facility with the most comforatable beds in Atlantic Canada and perhaps on the eastern seaboard. The morning breakfast is very good with many wholesome offerings. What is most appealing is the outdoor amenities of its downtown location.
Nestled next to the Petticodiac River, guests can see first...

Just wanted to leave a quick thanks to the staff at Chateau Moncton. We had to be in Moncton for some medical tests and were traveling with an 8 month old. i enjoyed my stay with Chateau Moncton & suits. It is close to all interesting places, the mall, crystal palace and the rest. It is very neat and the workers are friendly.
Girls shopping over night stay. Experience was very satisfying. Great restaurant near by.
Excellent. Staff very friendly and professional.
Nice room, amazing service. Been there twice, and will definitely go back!
My daughter and I stayed here for one night in February. The room was large, very clean and had very comfortable beds. Breakfast was quite good. Although we didn't require it, it was nice to see that the room was wheelchair accessible.
Booked into the hotel for one night as a getaway for my wife and I. Nice room with king size bed. Pre paid so rate was very reasonable. Close to the large mall and all downtown shops and resto. Free breakfast was fantastic - includes lots of hot items plus all manner of fruits, grains, baked goods, etc.
The rooms here are a really good size with a large office area. The decor is a tad dated however, think early 90s. However it does fit in with the "Chateau" theme. The staff here was very pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was decent but not "amazing", then again what do you expect for free! All in all, this is a great place to stay in Moncton that has reasonable rates and is right in the... more
No surprises, everything was fine during my stay.
I stay at the Chateau for business purposes and find it a great place to wind down from the day. Comfy beds, great location to all amenities, bar and restaurant on the property and across the street from Champlain Place mall.
Decor is some what outdated but always clear and comfortable...great value.
I just stayed at this hotel for one night this week while on business. The check in went well. The property was well maintained. My room was spacious and very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and I had a good night sleep. The room rate included breakfast and had a good selection. This hotel is well situated close... more
I stayed at Chateau Moncton this past weekend and was most impressed with the room. It was very spacious, clean, quiet (despite being on the street side of the building), and comfortable. The hotel is an imposing building adjacent to the Peticodiac River boardwalk. Our fifth floor room had a lovely view of the river. It was spacious and tastefully furnished. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good, although... more
I am mostly leaving this review because I stayed at two hotels the weekend of my stay and expedia put my bad review up for the other hotel I stayed at in the Chateaus rating. Great hotel, clean, comfortable beds, close to everything. Watched the tidal bore. The only down side was our room key had to be re-programmed 3 different times. Breakfast was good and breakfast staff more than accommodating as she made a nice juice cocktail. Loved the walking trail.
The views of the river and the Tidal Bore are amazing. We loved being able to walk along the boardwalk to the downtown of Moncton to restaurants and to the Saturday market. Our room was very large and very comfortable. The décor might have been a little dated, but it was very clean. The breakfast is included and had a... more
Stayed here for a night while traveling through Moncton. While the place is a little dated it has been very well kept which makes this hotel a great value stay. Stayed for the weekend and really enjoy the breakfast and room for a long stay! Great location in the heart of Moncton! Walking trail directly behind the hotel! There is shopping available just down the street in walking distance as well
We’d not heard of the Canadian city of Moncton, New Brunswick, until we spotted it on a map as we drove toward Maine from Prince Edward Island and needed a place to stay. Moncton, while largely recovered now, grew up on a big locomotive repair business that collapsed two decades ago and sank the economy. As we approached the downtown... more
This is quite possibly the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. The place sparkled - the lobby, the room, even the bathroom was impeccably clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Staying on the river side was great - incredibly quiet and dark at night. The room temperature controls worked well. I didn't find myself being bothered by the usual slamming... more
First visit to Moncton and this hotel. Nothing fancy but very nice rooms and great location by the river. Be sure to get a room on river side and watch the tide go in and out. Pleasant staff comfortable beds very nice rooms, with nice warm breakfast. And if you like to go for a walk just step outside to a nice boardwalk. And reasonably priced deserving the name Chateau Moncton.
Stayed at this lovely hotel one night in August and one night in September. This hotel is located on Main Street, very accessible from the highway and easy to locate. There is a grocery store across the street and the Champlain Place mall is just up the road. There are also many other stores and restaurants within walking distance. The rooms at this... more
from the lobby to the spacious hallways to the spacious rooms this hotel was very clean and had a personality all of its own. Some may say that it is dated, myself found it very comfortable and cozy! Staff were very friendly and the open breakfest was very inviting with a very good selection of food.
Chateau Moncton is very similar to Chateau St. John in Saint John, NB. The quality of service is very good, the decor is very stylish and up to date and the cleanliness is exceptional, especially in the bathroom. That is the white glove test that can be either satisfying or disappointing. This one was like as if it was brand... more
We were in Moncton for the weekend and booked a spot here. Paid a couple dollars extra for a junior suite.

I liked this hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It's located on Main Street so it's a short walk to downtown. Stayed here for our first night on a week long road trip through the Maritimes. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Comfortable rooms and the breakfast was a very nice spread. Saw the morning tidal bore along the Petitcodiac River and went for a 5k run along the same boardwalk and trail system. Great value overall.
Quick, friendly check in. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Although we were on the street side, it was quite quiet. However, the heating system did keep coming on and off during the night, and that was somewhat disruptive. Bed was very comfortable, with a pillow top mattress. The hot portion of the breakfast included bacon, sausage, and eggs, as well as pancakes. Juices, cold cereals,... more
