This place is in a great location and the lobby/bar is excellent. The rooms do not match what you get in the lobby though. A little older, dated, but overall clean. I was expecting more for the money but you are paying for location. The parking is extra, and there is only free wifi in the lobby.

Good Downtown Hotel

We had a double studio room with full kitchen and mountain views. The room was large and clean with comfortable beds. The hotel reception, bar, restuarant and coffee shop were very modern and clean and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is near to the Skytrain Station and there is a bus stop just outside the hotel.

Our room at Century-Plaza was large, with a small kitchen and sitting room. It was centrally located to many must see locations and was one of the stops for the Big Bus Hop on Hop off, which helped us see areas of Vancouver that were further away without having to take the car out of the garage. Visited Vancouver with my two grandchildren and stayed two nights at the Century Plaza. We had a wonderful stay in the hotel. Gosh I lost count how many times we stayed at this hotel (maybe 4 times already?) Anyhow, we always get the junior suites that the hotel. It has gone downhill in service, quality and up in price

Ive have stayed with this hotel, on business over 20 years. My last 2 visits June 2008- May 2009 were less than average. Floors below 24. Front desk missed some paperwork, phoned my room and DEMANED, I come down rather than they send a valet with paperwork. Some kitchen utensils were filthy, no cleaning of 3-day old blot on kitchen... more

Quality & Value for money

This hotel was one of the best we stayed in on our trip through North America - working on a budget of $70-$120 per night on accommodation. Not enjoyable

I stayed at this hotel for a night. Staff at the hotel did not have a good attitude and seemed very condescending when dealing with customer concerns. Very poor customer service and did NOT feel very welcome. Room were decent, however furniture seemed very outdated. Television set was the smallest tv ive ever seen in any hotel room. Pool ceiling is gorgeous

I was hesitant to book because I read that the pool was closed.. I am a waterbaby and love to swim! But wow what a gorgeous ceiling they've put in place. Friendly and helpful staff. Location was excellent to get to Granville mall, Canada place, BC Place . It was clean and had a great view from our room. We have stayed here before and will stay here again.... more

The internal changes are fantastic - a bit overwhelming at first but excellent, exceptionally well trained front end help, and the dinner menu absolutely worth photographing as well as taking time over to choose and get a great surprise. You are ready for the International onslaught for 2010! We will be there again - our favourite!

i had a great stay at the century plaza. it's location is right on the airporter route so transportation to and from the airport was easy. also, it is located two blocks from robson & from davie, walking distance to shopping and restaurants. the hotel lobby and restaurant were very nice. i received a $10 voucher for the restaurant (beyond) and used it for breakfast; the eggs benedict was... more

Bright spacious suite. Could use some updating. Not up to the standard of other downtown Vancouver hotels. Nice lobby, and restaurant, but rooms don't match this quality level. 3 star at best. Convenient location to most downtown venues

Highly recommended. Great city views, kitchens, massive rooms... at a competitive rate (well at least it was for us)
