One of my favorite restaurants in town! Try the chicken pita for lunch!!
Their Saganaki is a MUST try. I come here just for the Saganaki its that good.
Casa Mia has an expansive menu of Italian and Greek dishes that is sure to please anyone. The lighting in the evening is low and romantic and the overall decor of the place is classy and romantic.
I was last here with a fairly large group, 9 of us and the servers were excellent and attentive and gave great...

Very good service. Food hot and tasty ! Veal is a hit. Price is ok. Good Italian place to eat in Barrie.
Wow ! Amazing! Your food is served hot and alot . Staff friendly , good service . I recommend going here. Nice atmosphere, they don't rush you . Nice ambiance there.
This restaurant has both Greek or Italian menu. I had the Greek chicken slouvaki and it was just the best I've had. The chicken pieces were large and so very tender and the roasted vegetables were delicious. The price was very reasonable, considering we had an appetizer, salad, desert , 1/2 litre of wine and dessert. I would go back... more
Awesome! Friendly staff. Great food. Always assured of a good meal at this restaurant. They specialize in Greek & Italian. I had a chicken dish Mykonos. It was delicious. We were a big group (11) and the staff managed to get everyone's meal on the table together. Another not to miss place to eat in Barrie.
This is a well kept secret. Food and service was excellent. Home made cuisine. I will happily return.
Nice atmosphere! The servers are mature and attentive! The food is dependably good! Have never had a meal that is lacking in any way. Portions are hearty without being overwhelming. Great value!
Pasta dishes were large portions and decent. Had the Alfredo with broccoli and was good. Atmosphere is very Greek. Yet to try the Greek food will next time. Might be better
We have been dining at Casa Mia for more than 20 years. There is an old world charm about this place. The servers are very attentive.
We have dined on the souvlaki dinners as well as the baked spaghetti. The spaghetti is consistently good. The souvlaki can be hit or miss. The souvlaki serving size is not in my opinion what it should be.
My husband has ordered the "catch of the day" a few times...

Great dinner, great waitress.. I had the Greek salad with my pasta dish and every time I ate a forkful of salad I found myself saying mmmm! A trait my grandson has when he eats my homemade pasta sauce. I couldn't stop doing it.. I even asked the waitress if they sold their homemade dressing. They do and I bought... more
I won't lie, I'm a bit of a regular. This old Barrie institution never fails to deliver. Eclectic mix of Greek and Italian fare always well prepared. No it's not chic but it is darn good.
I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food selection is better than average. Friendly service, food quality good.
This is our second visit to Barrie and I loved the food the first time we decided to go back and eat there again. Very good selection of Greek and Italian foods but being I don't cooked alot of Greek foods I always very much enjoy ordering the Greek appetizers and the Greek entrees. Another enjoyable evening with very good... more
On 11/14 we made a stop to Casa Mia. It is a casual/fine dining establishment specializing in Greek and Italian food. We had Greek Salad, Pork Soulvaki and Spanish coffees! The price was decent , food was delicious and the service was exceptional. One complaint was the price of their Casa Mia Pita Bread ( $ 8) for basically 2... more
Was there on a weeknight and it appeared very quite at first but within the hour there were many diners. The interior decor appeared tired but clean and we were greeted at the door. We started with side ceaser salads that were delicious, great dressing. The garlic bread was disappointing as it appeared to simply be a bun sliced in... more
This restaurant is easy to get to and has a good selection of Greek and Italian dish's ,it is in the downtown center and has a good value for the money. It has been in business for many years and continues to serve up dishes that should appeal to most people. Parking is tight ,but there is street parking and lots... more
We were staying in a nearby hotel and did not want to go out for dinner so ordered in from Casa Mia. The Greek salad was just lettuce with a Caesar dressing and some grated Parm cheese. The deep fried calamari was soggy but tender and was ok. My calamari dinner with roasted potatoes was good. My companions lamb chop... more
Have been here for dinner with my husband a few times as well as for lunch with co-worker. Have always had great service and the food has always been outstanding.
We arrived in the early evening and there wasn't many people in there, we were seen to our table and the carpet all around us was covered in what looked like broken breadsticks.
We ordered a starter and a main, the starter arrived which was mozzarella sticks, they were deep fried shop bought and very salty.
Just as we had...

I go here often for lunch (and have been once for dinner) and usually have the chicken kabobs. Great food (except I'm not too fond of their bread) and great service!
My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for the past 23 years. It is our favourite place to go for a nice and peaceful dinner. Anything that we have had to eat at this restaurant has been great. Our family also enjoys going there.
I did enjoy the atmosphere of Casa Mia however the food was very disappointing... For 25 dollar plates we expected a much higher standard but were let down.
My husband and I at at casa Mia for the first time and were very pleased with our meal. The chicken Parmesan was tasty and generous in size. The salad was fresh and the soup was home made and delicious. I ordered the grilled calamari and was pleasantly surprised as how tender and tasty it was. The service was excellent.... more
We had not been in some time so decided on a last minute basis to go for dinner. My wife had the chicken Souvlaki and I had a penne pasta w/chicken special in a nice peppercorn sauce. Both meals were very good and came with salads or soup, the portion sizes were very big. The service was excellent and the... more
We had Casa Mia on August 25th. Our salads were soggy and our garlic bread with cheese was cold ! Expensive too
Stopped in randomly for dinner here, Service was great, and the pita and tzatziki were amazing. Best Ever. Our mains were blah, and overpriced for what we received.
Casa Mia is an old standby that you can always count on for amazing meals and exceptional service. My most recent visit was with a friend for dinner. She ordered the grilled calamari and Greek salad and I, the pickeral special. Both meals were prepared well and presented, as always, beautifully. The waitress was a lovely lady that I've had... more
We haven't been here for a couple of years for dinner and it will be many more before we go back for dinner. Food was bland: potatoes tasted like they had been cooked for the better part of the day and the vegetables were practically raw.
Escargots had no taste at all.
Have to say the service was OK, not...

The food was great, there is something on the menu for everyone's taste buds. And, if Greek is not your thing, there are many alternatives on the menu. The owner is frequently on site, a flambouant personality who loves his business ... makes you feel as though he is truly glad you visited his restaurant.
Casa Mia's Restaurant has amazing food... I have been going to Casa Mia's for as long as I can remember. You have to try there meat sauce... it is the best meat sauce I have ever had... same with the greek salad!
Don't Forget to order there Saganoki as your app.
OPA !
My birthday, my choice and I wanted the comfort of pasta al forno. Pasta, meat sauce and cheese baked in the oven, a crisp salad and glass of wine what's there not to like?
We have been coming to Casa Mia for decades, it always has substantial portions of tasty Mediterranean dishes, friendly service at a value conscious pricing.

Loved this, as we had it delivered to our hotel, everything hot and delicious! We had both Italian and Greek ,both were really terrific! Reasonable too!
We are regulars and food is consistently delicious, hot and well priced. Service is usually good too.
Excellent service, good food, reasonable prices.Made our xmas party a real occasion,Would highly recommend,
I went here once and I think the atmosphere is beautiful and the food is great.
We went with another couple and the menu and specials offered a lot of variety. Our friend was impressed with the seafood dish and the number of mussels on his plate. My chicken el Greco was very tasty but I made the mistake of having the pasta instead of potatoes or rice. The whole plate was smothered in the meat... more
This is my fourth time visiting Barrie & each time, we've gone to Casa Mia. We love the food & the atmosphere. Service is great. This visit, I was with 3 friends. 3 of the 4 of us loved the food. One liked it but she had the dish served better elsewhere. Good value for money.

Casa Mia has great food and great staff. Our server was very friendly and happy to explain many of the menu options to us. The decor could use an update though. The carpet was filthy and the restaurant looked pretty run down. But everything else was quite good.
Casa Mia serves up huge amounts of food, with taste and style. We've been there 3 times, and each time service has been just fine. The menu is mainly Greek and Italian, and the decor is definitely Greek, but in subdued earth tones instead of the more usual blue and white. We find it a nice soothing atmosphere.

We used to really like it here, but the last time I was there (for lunch) the food was poor. Further to this, when I went into the restroom there was what looked like rodent droppings on the floor.....the gross out factor ended our meal for us. We won't be back.
Great looking spot in an excellent location, so we went in with our 6 year old. After sitting there for 20 minutes we got water and menus. When we asked if they had a childrens menu the waitress looked at us as if we had 3 heads. It didn't help that it looked like there were office Christmas parties going... more
Very good food, good portions and freindly staff. Service a touch slow, but the food is so good its worth it. For such good food the price is very fair. One complaint...really small cramped parking lot. Leave the pick up at home!
was disappointed in my only visit to Casa Mia despite some saying it was good; less than average food quality; not worth the money.
The restaurant itself had a lovely European decor. The staff were all very friendly and the waiter was very good. The appetitizers, main course and dessert were excellent if you like Greek food. The price was reasonable for the quality of the food. I would definitely eat at Casa Mia again. It is a Greek and Italian restaurant.
Excellent dining out for a Greek/Italian cuisine in Barrie, Ontario.
My wife and I were looking for a good Italian place on July 1st weekend and since my wife used to live in this city she remembered this resto.
Served right away and pleased with all our choices. Service was above par( Thanks, Candice) .

The food is pretty good, and they offer a lot of Italian and Greek dishes.
I like it but find sometimes the service is not great. It is still worth going too.
Went there once. Food was salty and lacked a lot of flavour and body. Did not go back.
I got the 'original chicken pita' and my husband got the souvlaki and my son got the fish and chips. The pita was excellent - the pita shell is actually toasted so it didn't get soggy even with the dressing of the chicken and the veggies in the pita. it was big - so go hungry! The souvlaki was pretty... more
The food here is consistently good. The portions are huge and the service is great.
My husband and I finally stopped in to Casa Mia with my sister and brother-in-law. At the end of a fabulous dinner the answer is,... more
We were excited to go here after reading the reviews. I was looking forward to some good Greek food, but was very disappointed. We started with the fried calamari since the saganaki was made with the wrong cheese. The calamari was fast but was like rubber. It was over cooked and not marinated. My boyfriend had a soup with his meal that he didn't finish because it was so salty. My boyfriend had... more
Super spaghetti dishes and Greek Salad. Wonderful service. Prices very good!
wonderful selection of foods, great tasting food and good prices. Nice setting and good location
Yes!!!! Finally, Casa Mia decided to share one of their best signature dishes –The Greek Salad-on their Barrielicious winter menu. I have to be honest; I eat this salad 3-4 times a month. Every time I enter this establishment I repeat the mantra, “I will try something different”; I never do; why I torment myself I don’t know as this... more
We decided to try Casa Mia, hoping that it would be a nice place to celebrate a birthday, however we were quite disappointed.
First, the service was not very friendly, the server did not know the menu, which is understandable because it's far too large.
Second, the ambiance was horrible with the music in the background.
Lastly, the food was...

The food is amazing. I much rather the Greek food, but the Italian food is awesome too. Hot food is HOT...cold food is COLD! No lukewarm stuff here! Best thing on the menu for me....Greek Salad! Lots of feta! You get a lot of food for your money, always a container to take home.
Casa Mia has Friendly staff, and acceptable food. They make a nice baked veal parmigiana dinner and serve a huge lasagna as well. I wouldn't bother getting the bruschetta though, its not worth writing about, and stay away from buying a pop as there are no refills and the glass they serve in is very small. Casa Mia is worth coming too for a simple meal if you happen to be passing through the area.
At 8 years old I had my first Shirley Temple here...
At 16 I had my first date here...
At 21, I was a maid of honour at my best friend's wedding here...
and at 27 I celebrated my 6 year wedding anniversary here!
Yup, me and Casa Mia go way back and when I happened to be back in Barrie during my anniversary weekend, I jumped at the possibility to eat here again.

My daughters and myself went there and we all tried the spagetti and
meat balls and it was very good, the restaurant is lovely inside and
we ended up staying for over two hours drinking wine and laughing, just

Excellent restaurant. Beautiful Roman/Greek decor. The fact
that we had to wait for a table at 6 pm. is an indication of how popular
the place is. I wouldn't call it a mexican restaurant tho it has
souvlaki, pastas and veal dishes so back to the Greek/Italian
theme. Good wine selection and they even have their own home made
wine - ask for a sip first. you'll love it or hate it.
