Best, and in my opinion only option for small animal care in Ottawa. I have seen other vets who spend 5 minutes with my rabbit, and barely touch her in a visit, ignoring issues I bring up. Vets here listen and offer solutions, are very kind with the animals, and most importantly perform thorough checks. Non-judgemental and friendly, clean and professional.

Dr. Johnson was very helpful, and excellent with my dog, however, the front counter staff has been very unfriendly towards me. I had four visits there, and during that time only one of the counter staff actually said hello and treated me with proper customer service skills. It was overall unpleasant for me, so I have a new vet now that is excellent, and the staff is actually polite.

If you happen to have a less than perfect experience with this company, do not write about it here on Yelp. Carling Animal Hospital management monitors these reviews and, if they don't like what you say, they will threaten you with legal action to remove it.

I can not say enough good things about this place. The staff are honestly, angels. They go above and beyond their call of duty everyday. They are accommodating, gentle, kind, respective and understanding.

I was a loyal customer of Carling animal hospital for many years. I found that they often recommended unnecessary test and procedures. It got to the point where I wasn't sure if I was doing right by my beloved pet. We moved on, and our dog is happily under the care of another vet. I have total confidence in my new vet.

Nice front staff but an expensive place

The staff was caring and was very nice. However, it is VERY EXPENSIVE. In the last two visits, I was paying more than I should be for my puppy's vaccinations.I was overcharged for a regular check up in which all the doctor did was count for the heart rate because the lights to the ophthalmoscope was not working.
