I was in Ottawa on business and met associates for lunch at the Carleton Grill which is right downtown in the heart of the business district.
Service was very good. our waiter did not rush us and recommended the daily lunch special which on this day was smoked salmon.

So delicious

We had a very nice dinner with friends. The steak was perfectly cooked, the black cod was tasty, the porc roast just great. It is a bit pricy but very good.

Great value for money

It is by far the best lunch time buffet experience in downtown Ottawa. The food is always fresh - new menu each day - with a carvery. The buffet has a good selection and the desserts are excellent. Compared to similar standard to restaurants, it is very reasonably priced. We go there for work related functions and highly recommend it.

Horrible. The worst dining experience ever

We had a group of 12 who went for a valentines dinner on Feb 14 for a prix fixe menu. The service was awful. Wonderful lunch buffet

It was amazing. Not many choices for the mains but very high quality. Special mention of the delicious Tilapia and Grilled Jumbo Shrimp (cooked fresh) and a nice array of side dishes and unique salads. I frequently host colleagues and clients for lunch at the Carleton Grill. Location is convenient, lunch buffet and service are excellent. Since the ruination of Hy's Bar (see separate review), the lawyers who lunch have had to find other digs. Sasha's Bar -- attached to the Carleton Grill in the Sheraton Hotel is a contender.

I've been to the Sheraton 20 times for meetings, etc. and could not have told you what the restaurant was called or even if it had a bar.
