We chose Cambridge Mill for 45th anniversary. Arrived at reservation time and no table available. When questioned we were rudely blown off by the hostess, with no apology for the inconvenience. 35 minutes later we were shown to our table.

Good Food Excellent View

We had a wonderful meal looking out over the river and dam. The only drawback was I ordered champagne for my wife and they brought a flat glass. This has happened to us before And when you are paying $22 per glass some restaurants are serving old champagne. It is disappointing when your total bill comes to over $150 and they try this trick.

Great Location and excellent food..

The location on the river is wonderful. The food was excellent and the staff was very accommodating regarding food sensitivities. Two from our group of four had our meals adjusted to avoid these sensitivities with no problem. It definitely is a great location for a special evening.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner and were lucky enough to be served by Johnny. He was one of the best servers I have ever had. He was extremely attentive and gave the meal a personal touch that made us feel like regulars. He genuinely seemed to care about our meals and our experience.

Wonderful place for having a relaxing brunch experience. The price is a little steep but you are paying for the atmosphere by the falls and the food is of excellent quality. I found that the hot items for brunch were not really hot enough.They kept running out of plates at the salad section and for the price, it was too expensive a place to go to.

The Cambridge Mill was a very enjoyable experience. We celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary, and could not of had a better time. The meal and presentation was awesome, the service was very personal and our waiter tried to accommodate us since it was very hot that evening. The atmosphere and scenery were unbelievable. Asked to be moved from a window table since air conditioning blowing down on us by the window, plus very load table behind us. Longer wait to be brought menus after we moved. Super Food, Super Service!

We recently celebrated a friend's birthday and retirement by having lunch at the Cambridge Mill. It was an outstanding afternoon! The service was friendly, prompt and attentive. The quality of food and food choices are often disappointing but the view of the Grand River is exceptional. It is also expensive which could be justified if the food was amazing but it is often not. The quality of some food choices has been inconsistent, especially the seafood.

I'm kind of iffy on this one

While I agree that the atmosphere is great and the food we were served was very good, everything was very pricey and only a place to go if you have $200+ to spend on a meal. I'll only go back when others are paying... ;o)

100 mile salad is amazing

Lovely

I was at the Mill for brunch with neighbourhood friends. It was a wonderful experience. The food and the service were excellent. Another fine feature is that it is within walking distance of my home.

Pricey

The view of the weir is spectacular, the food is excellent, and the wine selection is very good but also very pricey. Service is efficient and professional. My wife and I took another couple, cost for the meal and two bottles of wine $400+.

Not fit for children

I have to say we were looking forward To this day as we were celebrating our nephews' baptism. Tons of fun

Went here for a wedding, absolutely loved it. It's neatly located by Grand River? and the scenery is beautiful. The staff was super friendly, the bartenders were awesome and the atmosphere was all around great even in the pouring rain.
I was at the Ancaster mill the year and I liked this one a lot better.

Location, food quality and view cannot overcome poor service

The Cambridge Mill is a wonderful restaurant with great views, reasonable decor and interesting food and drink options.
The challenge is, and has been that service is hit or miss.

We went with friends for dinner and it was fantastic. The atmosphere, the view, the service all done perfectly. The fact that the food was also amazing was just so wonderful. Food was good but OMG the FLIES. There was too much flies for us to enjoy the food. Also, service was not so good unless you dress up. We made a reservation on window side but they have given us middle table and I suspect it's because we weren't dressed up for the occasion.

We went here for a wedding this weekend and we thought it was a beautiful venue. The ceremony was in a gorgeous room overlooking the river and the reception was in a separate room which was cozy, comfortable and a little rustic.
