The Calgary Marriott Hotel features luxurious accommodations in downtown Calgary boasting the city's largest guest rooms. Our Calgary hotel blends attentive hospitality with brilliant amenities.
There is no free wifi in the hotel rooms. Those staying at the hotel who require internet have to swarm the lobby like idiots. The hotel rooms themselves are of an old style and are very unappealing. A bottle of water costs $4.50 which is ridiculous. On top of that, there is no complimentary breakfast. The breakfast itself is extremely overpriced (you're looking at around $23.). The entrance... more
I recently stayed here while in Calgary for a business meeting and the hotel is very nice. The rooms were clean and well kept. The concierge lounge was very good. The restaurant / bar and the Starbucks both in the hotel were very good too. It's well located downtown near the train and many restaurants. I didn't rent a car or try to park there due to the cost. Take the train, it's much easier.... more
Very happy with the central location. We got a great view of the Calgary tower. The parking was NOT good. We enjoyed internet high speed access and free access to the pspsex.net videos.
rooms are old style. Flush tank was leaking. Carpet is also very old and run down...overall this hotel is not worth that much money. Just a big name..
We had a horrible time last night at the Marriot. The rooms were clean (except for bathroom sink) and the man that came up to move us to another room was nice, but beyond that, it was super disappointing. No mini bar in the room (even after the front desk clerk told us there was), no robes, pubic hair in the sink, poor concierge service and less than friendly staff (mostly). For $400 a night,... more
Rooms - "A" very clean and Beds are amazing!! Parking - Not very good (valet) takes forever and I am not sure where my car ends up Staff - Decent depends on who you get Area - Great spot by Stephen ave lots of shopping and dining options Breakfast - meh decent (expensive)
Prices all are ridiculously over priced. Only way to get free wifi is to cram into lobby. If you happen to have no problem with paying it will cost you $20 from 12pm to 12 am so watch what time you pay for it or you will get ripped off even further.
Really liked this hotel, it actually has modern decor unlike lots of other Calgary hotels! I got a fantastic deal on the room with a bonus of credit to spend in a nearby shopping mall - so much so I thought it was too good to be true, but it wasn't! Parking is a bit of a pain, I didn't... more
Over night stay at this hotel. The checkin was rapid and efficient. Pleased with the service. Was upgraded to a larger room. The bathroom is simple, yet functional and was impressed with the amenities. Only one robe was supplied which seems odd. The bed was compfortable and an Ipod dock was present. The breakfast buffet selections were mediocre but had... more
I have had mixed experienced with Marriott hotels in the past, but I must say that this was one of my better stays. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
The front desk and lobby staff were fantastic; check-in, check-out and anything in between were a pleasure.
The room was a (small) disappointment at first - the interior being...

A very nice place to stay. The Staff is very friendly and helpful and the room although a little dated is clean and had a beautiful view of Calgary. We didn't eat there but there are plenty of restaurants for every budget. Couldn't find a phonebook in room but I'm sure if I had asked they would have brought one. I would... more
I love this hotel for the classy and attentative service from every single staff member i have had contact with.
2nd time i have stayed here over the years - great size rooms, tidy, clean, great size working area. it would be nice to have handset phones without the wire so you can walk around, but the speakerphones are very...

Great Marriott service, attentive staff, the grounds were also very clean. However the steak I ate there was SUPERB! The one downside that I found was their wireless network, which worked in the lobby but the signal was very faint in the ground floor bar.
We stayed here one night. The front desk and valet staff were very friendly and helpful. We received many suggestions on where to eat for supper (ended up at the 360 sky in the tower across the street). We were also offered a late check out right when we checked in.
The room was clean and the bed and bed...

My favourite Calgary Hotel. I was recently there for a comic/science fiction convention. The staff, as always, were both polite and helpful (how to to get to the convention, the amount of change needed for the train). The convention (which the hotel was NOT responsible for) was very badly run with respect to the attendees and many people who had... more
I travel to Calgary regularly for business and was so impressed by every service person who helped me during my one-night stay. From the doorman at the front door, to the agent at the front desk, to the room service delivery man and all the way to the lady who dropped my weather card and chocolate off in the early... more
Great location! Starbucks inside hotel! The customer service from all was awesome! It is a typical Marriott, When traveling on business once needs consistency and a reliable brand. Unfortunately, the business center is small and the concierge lounge is closed on the weekend. But, minor concerns in the grand scheme..... more
If you want to visit Calgary, this hotel has the best location. In from of the Calgary tower, close to the subway system, and shopping locations. Also it is close of the nicer part of the +15 tunnel system, which are the tunnels that communicate the downtown building. The restaurant of the hotel has a great attention, the personal give you excelent assistance regarding city attractions. In... more
Great location, quality hotel, friendly staff...what more could you want...hotel is connected to shopping mall and is within walking distance of many different restaurants. I look forward to our return next year.
While the hotel and room were clean and comfortable, it was not quiet. There was ambient noise from some sort of exhaust fan outside that droned all night and the fan for the room's HVAC system was loud when it kicked in every time. It was just enough disruption to make for a poor night's sleep.
A group of us went up to Calgary for a long weekend and we had a fabulous stay at the Marriott. The rooms were clean and comfortable, beds were very plush. Room service was prompt and piping hot every time. The employees were all very gracious and helpful. They truly went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. I will not hesitate to book my next reservation here! This hotel is close... more
