The loons singing at daybreak. Wow! That's what I call an alarm clock! This is a beautiful area, with skiing in winter, the lakes for swimming and boating in summer, and the summer cottages. The motel is exceptionally well fitted up. I appreciated the indirect lighting over the bed when I watched Tv. The I bathroom is especially clean and... more
I stayed here for 2 nights recently. I will write my review stating pros and cons, as always.
PROS:
-easy to find, right on the highway
- very comfortable bed!
- room and bathroom looked recently painted (relatively)
- hair dryer in bathroom
- large closet
- microwave, kettle, mini-fridge in the room
- a couple of candies and chocolates...

We stayed there for 2-3 days on a snowmobile vacation. The suite is absolutely very nice with all the commodities we needed. The room is spotless, bright and very comfortable. The only little thing is that the heating unit is a bit noisy. The owners are very nice and friendly. We will go back shortly for sure.
We stayed here during our bike trip in July 2012. We went past it, as we thought the empty building next to it was part of the Motel- it wasn't.
We are happy we went back, as Susan went out of her way to be accommodating. It was perfect after a hot day of riding....rooms were clean and cool and...

We had occasion to stay at the Calabogie Motor Inn last weekend. We were visiting Ottawa and surrounding area and spent two nights there. Not only are the rooms spotless, and the hosts extremely helpful and friendly, they provide little extra touches that mean so much! The location is fabulous, beautiful beach across the road and since many of the... more
Friendly owners and the rooms were very clean and modern. I liked the new plasma TV.
Best rates in town. Thanks Sue and Eric
I came in from Montreal to do a track event at the Calabogie Motor Park. Awesome track by the way. I wanted something close to the track and inexpensive. This is it. It was a little cool that evening. There was no heat to be found. No one is manning the lodge after 11pm so no one to speak to.... more
Well located in tiny town of Calabogie, this small motor inn is kept very clean and tidy and is reasonably priced. If you sleep with two pillows...make sure you bring one from home as there are no extras
I stayed at this little motel last fall while on a motorcycle trip. I found the room to be spacious and clean and they even had some biker magazines in the room to read. The thing I disliked the most about the room was that the tv was mounted way up by the ceiling like you were in a hospital... more
We stayed at the Calabogie Motor Inn during a few track events at the Calabogie race track. The room was pleasant, spotlessly clean and the proprietors were gracious enough to stay up late to register us when we arrived. We would gladly recommend the motor inn to anyone.
What an awesome weekend! Met alot of new friends and even had family staying in the same Motel and we had a great time. Rooms and all amenities were super. As for Della and Carl ... best hosts in town! Just like being part of their family and we all felt so welcome! Have booked a weekend in October for... more
Stayed at the motel while enjoying a great experience at the new track. The area is just beautiful. The motel is very clean, new and basic, but all the essentials are there. Carl and Della are the owners and they're very, very nice people.
Am booked to stay there again this year. I just hope the good word doesn't spread...

We spent the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend with Carl and Della. It was our first visit to Calabogie, but we found Carl and Della so welcoming that we felt as if they were old frineds. Our motel unit was immaculate and had all of the amenities you could ask for - microwave, refrigerator, Tv, etc. We look forward to a return... more
Very clean rooms the resturant next to it has good food and
it's close to the race track. The owners go out of there way for you
and there is lots of parking for trailers.

Just a nice, little motel that is very clean, neat and right in the heart of Gods country. Really enjoyed our time, a restaurant right next door and alot to see in the general area, we will return each year, loved our stay.
We attended a wedding and arived late. The manager made sure we were well taken care of. Thanks Mr. Nickle.
The proprietors of the Calabogie Motor Inn exemplified what country Canada is all about. They were warm, friendly and treated their guests if they had been long lost friends who had returned after a lengthy absence.
I especially enjoyed the cutest little miniature black goat I had ever seen that thinks he is the king of the small petting zoo!...

My wife and I found The Calabogie Motor Inn a very pleasant place to stay. The Inn is relatively new and we found it to be very clean, neat and tidy. Our unit had a microwave, fridge, TV with two very comfortable queen size beds. We delt with the owners who are very nice people and were truely interested in... more
We booked this place because we were going to a wedding in the area. A few months earlier, when we found out where the wedding would be taking place, we booked our room because we knew rooms would fill up fast as it was a large wedding and rooms would be hard to find. I thought it a bit odd... more
I was really looking forward to staying here. I had found their website and it appeared to meet our needs.
I have young children and their petting zoo sold it to me. However I left disappointed.
It felt as though the motel was run as a sideline. The units were sparkling new, but towels were hard, stained and smelt of...
