A taste of real Italy
This restaurant is one of Toronto's best kept Italian secrets. I've been to Caffino several times over the years for lunch and dinner and it never fails to delight my senses. The ambiance, the food, the service...everything is top notch and authentic. *The risotto is to die for*

Caffino is a long-time Liberty Village lunch and dinner destination that is somewhat hidden inside the Carpet Factory. The menu is decidedly Italian with fresh pizza, pasta and antipasti. White table cloths grace the dining room but the formality if balanced out with the warehouse feel, dripping candle wax and bustling atmosphere.

I have been coming here for years because I find it to be very consistent and reliable.
Every dish I have ever ordered here has been well-prepared and the staff are always friendly and accomodating.
The decor is great too; funky and casual enough for a family lunch yet still nice enough for a romantic evening out.

Poor food and service

We were very disappointed in both the food and the service. Waiter very inattentive. View if the kitchen through the open door did not help- it was pretty scary looking in there. Felt like we were treated like second class citizens because we used the Travelzoo coupon. House red wine undrinkable.

Great food-poor service
July 27, 2013I've been here a few times but only for drinks,this past time was drinks as well but food came along for the ride.I had the lasagna(delicious) and a glass of pinot grighio.Service was horrible,took 15 minutes every time we needed something for the tall young waiter to come and he seemed distracted(smiling/staring into space) even when attending us.

We had a very very good lunch .
Very good service and nice atmosphare. The pasta special homemade fettuchini with black tiger shrimp,crab,roasted garlic tomatoes in a rich thick cream sauce it was amazing and blow my mind

My son and daughter-in-law were married at Caffino in August.
I was not enamoured of the location, but it was their wedding, not mine.
From the start, when I saw where the restaurant had placed us - almost in the entranceway instead of the table near the bride and groom, I was distressed.

This location is maybe the most perfect place to share with a room full of close friends and family.
