Coffee is treated like an art form at this Vancouver-born chainlet. Lineups out the door for lattes with intricate patterns. Grilled sandwiches, pasta, and pastries (muffins, cookies, cakes) make this café a great lunch option.

Coffee to start your day off right
June 18, 2014My friends and were visiting Vancouver from Texas and the concierge at the hotel directed us to Caffe Artigiano. We were looking for some great coffee in a local shop that also served breakfast. We weren't disappointed! In fact we loved it so much that we came back the next morning for more. Try the hazelnut caffe latte....mmmm!

The only place for coffee

Great caffe with pleasant staff and hot food

Another great Caffe Artigiano location, we have now visited half of them in Vancouver and can write that the staff(s) are very well selected for their good customer service skills. The barrista here made me a very chocolaty mochaccino with terrific crema art on the top (see my images).
The chicken and brie sandwich, perfectly heated, went well will coffees....

Amazing coffee, great breakfast
February 22, 2014This place as simply amazing coffee. It's worth a visit just for that. Combine it with some waffles and maple syrup or a croissant for breakfast and you're set up for the day. I wish I'd found this on the first day of my stay, not the last!

Excellent coffee and charm
February 07, 2014Stopped in here for breakfast which included a smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese, capers, red onions and fresh fennel. Yumm! Tried the medium sweet Spanish latte and loved it. Judging by the crowd, seems to be a popular place. The atmosphere was very Italian and cozy.

Coffee to strong for my taste

I am a coffee lover but Artigiano is not my choice in Vancouver. The coffee has a very strong flavour which I cannot pinpoint, but the flavour remains into the finish and, to me, it is not pleasing.

Consistent, High-Quality
December 14, 2013Excellent lattes and cappuccinos with wet and dry options. Best espresso. Food choices were only disappointment. There is no real reason to ever consider Starbucks (you shouldn't in Pacific NW anyway). Multiple locations that are surprisingly consistent.

Spanish latte - amazing
November 08, 2013Great Italian caffe with excellent French press or espresso drinks.The Spanish latte was recommended and is incredible - a bit sweet thanks to some condenses milk added to the espresso makes it! Some good looking wraps as well but didn't try them.

Nice vibe
August 14, 2013This place has a nice vibe to it. It's always hopping with customers. The coffee and hot chocolate are fantastic. SO are the sandwiches. A word of caution - keep your purses close as my wife had hers stolen while she was enjoying coffee with a friend. That wasn't the fault of the ownership/management - they run a great establishment.

We had coffe, cappuccinos and a sandwich, everything tasted delicious!
The service is not top fast but is efficient and friendly.

Awesome lamb sandwich
June 25, 2013Excellent tasting seared lamb sandwich, I was very surprised as it was just a grab and go item. My mom doesn't even drink coffee but makes an exception for this place. Any location is bound to be wonderful!

May 22, 2013We stopped here on advice from our doorman after getting off our train from Toronto. A four day train ride can leave you desperate for nice coffee, even with VIA's decent coffee. Gluten Free Food, top notch coffee and delightful atmosphere
May 05, 2013We stopped here before heading to the airport for a little recharge. Being a celiac, I am always hesitant to head into a cafe trusting that they will have food options. They did! I had a delicious scone and a mocha and was very pleased with my selection.

good coffee but very slow service

I can see how Artigiano's was once the Mecca for serious coffee drinkers. That time was before the proliferation of coffee houses both good and bad in Vancouver. Now, Artigiano trades on it's reputation and peoples perceptions.
Drip or filter coffee is so-so.
Pastries are over priced and heavy.

Very Good Lattés and Sandwiches
January 24, 2013This what the original Star**** was all about. A lovely relaxing experience with great music and an easy going, friendly attitude amongst the staff. Muffins were super moist, the veggie sandwich was perfect and the coffees wonderfully decorated and flavourful. Worth the stop!

Arguably the best coffee in Vancouver. Try the latte and think of Italy.
Two young friends (one Italian) went on a caffeine odyssey to find the best cup of Joe in Vancouver. After trying MULTIPLE macchiato's across town, Artigiano and one place on Commercial (whose name escapes me) were declared winners. They didn't sleep for four days.

Nice alternative to Blenz
November 26, 2012Very cozy and welcoming cafè. The drinks were very flavourful and pretty good art with the foam. We had a chai tea, and caramel macchiato with a warm croissant. They have a variety of sandwich options as well that I am looking forward to trying out my next visit.

Best Barrista's in Vancouver
November 17, 2012I like to stop by when I'm downtown between meetings. The coffee is great. Other than commercial drive, this is the birthplace of Vancouver's coffee culture. Although Starbucks is everywhere, and Blenz is trying to steal as many barrista's as it can - this is the benchmark for coffee art.

November 04, 2012This is the real stuff: full leaded coffee made with love. Coffee that hits the place where it is smooth and had a kick — is served well be outstanding baristas. Enjoyed best sipped from a ceramic cup over conversation or lingering over the many newspaper hanging on the wall for reading.

Great coffee! Just don't do a straight shot
November 04, 2012Great coffee (when you add dairy) for latte, cappuccino and americano this is among my fav places. But the espresso is too acidic on it's own so don't go for the straight shot unless you enjoy throat burn.
