We popped in here for lunch before heading to the festival. The soup was excellent and the smoothies superb. Service was friendly and it was a quick and easy lunch. Well worth the visit.
Went for lunch one day with some friends food was cold when served and way to expensive for the quality (which was bad) and rude staff, i recommend finding a better place to eat
Top notch cafe for a lunch on a very cold, snowy, windy day in Stratford when almost all the other restaurants were closed.
My husband & I took a walk downtown on the second day of the January blizzard hoping to get lunch somewhere new to us. Our planned destination was closed (due to the weather?) so we headed for...

My favourite coffee place in Stratford. Cafe Ten also has good food. And the cakes and pies are awesome. Pecan pie is my favourite.
Have eaten here 4 times. 2 times awesome food and service.
2 times medicore to aweful food and service(time from order to delivery)
We stopped in here in September before we checked into our B and B.
We wanted something light, quick and tasty. We ordered the sadwiches with chicken on a ciabatta bread, The chiecken was juicy, not dry, and coupled with the tomatoe, lettuce and mayo...hit the spot. We split a greek salad with feta. The lettuce was ropmaine, crisp and...

Although there are many Stratford restaurants from which to choose, reservations may be difficult to obtain on busy weekends during the theater season. Cafe Ten offers a good alternative in such a case. Reservations are not required or accepted. The menu is modest but the meal choices are generally good and very reasonably priced. The restaurant is only two blocks... more
Before the theatre we went in to Cafe Ten and I ordered a cappuccino. They made it with curdled milk. When I brought it to their attention their comment was "oh yeah, I noticed that when I changed milk bags". They not only knew they had served me curdled milk, they made no effort to correct it and treated me... more
This cafe is a good place for a quick bite before a play since it is close to the Avon and Studio Theatres. Very reasonable. Decent seating availability but fills up fast. Good food - fresh sandwiches, soups and salads as well as scrumptious baked goods..
There are many cafes and restaurants in Stratford and this one is pretty basic. It serves soup, sandwiches, salads and desserts that are fresh and tasty. Orders are placed at the counter and and someone brings the food to the table. There are several areas to sit in including a courtyard. The servings are generous and the prices are reasonable.
Many people walk by this restaurant and never venture in. They are making a mistake. The restaurant is pleasant and functional. Effie, the owner, is usually on hand to supervise things. They have several choices of salad plates, sandwiches and soups not to mention the killer deserts. You place your order at the counter and a staff member brings the... more
I love Café Ten and have been there many times over the years. Cute little place with additional seating in the inner courtyard. Tasty specials and I've especially enjoyed their soups. They also have great breakfasts.
Even better was having it delivered to my table with comfy chairs. We sat and relaxed, sipping tea for quite a while. It was awesome!
Cafe Ten is located in the Festival Square, a block away from the Avon Theatre. Known for their home made sandwiches, soups and quiches. My wife and I shared the basil pesto chicken club sandwich with a side Greek salad. A grilled chicken breast is served with bacon, tomato, lettuce on a fresh crusty baguette. The Greek salad is good... more
If you'r looking for a nice place to get a quick bite to eat or relax with a cup of tea and a delicious piece of cake, then look no further. The decor is pleasant, nothing fancy. The cakes are big portions and always taste great. Goos location, downtown and 3 min walk to avon theatre.
Very reasonable cafe, good sandwiches and salads, excellent Greek style entrees, homemade pizzas and fabulous cakes and fancy coffees for dessert. The proprietors and their staff are very friendly and know the city well if you would have any questions.
I frequently stop in to Cafe Ten with a friend or family when I want a quiet place to have a hot drink and a chat. I love sitting in the inside patio area where the wait staff will bring your order and you can relax after some shopping or a walk. Being downtown and offering an alternative to chain... more
Wounderful Coffee and pie. Be sure to try the pecan pie.
Cafe Ten is right in downtown Stratford. A great place to visit. They have free Wi-Fi as well.
This is a good place to go if you want quick, half-decent food. It's not a place for foodies. Forget about atmosphere and novelty. Expect some of the items to be pre-made and pre-wrapped in cellophane. Expect to pay $12 for a very small personal pizza. If cafeteria style convenience is what you're after then go for it.
Cafe Ten provides the best Caesar salad in Stratford with a creamy, lemon flavoured dressing. Meals are inexpensive and flavourful. Daily specials are excellent lunch-sized portions. Interesting soups and sandwiches make up excellent combinations. Try the grilled cheese.
I've been to this restaurant many years in a row now. This year, I had the salmon, dill and asparagus quiche, along with the caesar salad. It was about $8.95. I also ordered a Stewart's Black Cherry Soda...delicious! The meal was served quickly. The quiche was flavourful and the salad, very tasty. My daughter had the soup of the day.... more
Lovely place to sit, especially at the back of the restaurant.
A decent selection of teas. The cakes are also very good.
We highly recommend their carrot cake.
Bottom line: We would definitely go back!
Great little place with yummy and healthy sandwich and smoothy choices. We grab lunch there almost every time we're in town and are never disappointed.
We visit Cafe Ten EVERY time we go to Stratford. Usually it's the first place we go - coming from Michigan for a 2pm play, we are generally running tight on time and Cafe Ten is way quicker than your standard restaurant, and the food as good if not better. Delicious food in a casual setting. We also like to... more
We've had lunch here a couple of times in the past two months. Each was a delightful experience. Both the daily specials and regular menu items came freshly prepared and attractively presented and did not disappoint. We'd feel confident ordering anything on their menu. Cappuccino or latte at under $4 for a generous double is a great deal and even... more
Since we stay across the street, this is our place for breakfasts and sandwiches to take on the trip back to Michigan. They never disappoint. Breakfast can be essentially whatever you want, and the sandwiches are excellent. Service is quite prompt and there is a always a pile of newspapers to read. What they do, they do very well.
The desserts are good but very expensive for the serving given. Gave it a second chance but have not returned while visiting Stratford.
I just love their Grilled Cheese sandwich & the hot chocolate is delish too!!
This spot can get very busy for lunch, but there's more seating than you might realize in the back. Ingredients are carefully chosen, dishes are well made. It's cafeteria style, but service is cheerful and professional. When my son's Italian soda tasted weak, they happily doctored it until it was right. Not fancy, not audacious--just really good food!
I went for lunch at Cafe Ten and I had a very enjoyable experience. The food was healthy, tasty and served promptly. Service was warm and friendly. The place is tastefully decorated.
Go for dessert, not for the main courses which have gone downhill recently.
We just love the deserts and the coffee at this place and we always try to stop in every time
we are in Stratford.
the only thing I would love is for it to stay open a little longer cause some times when we go it is closed early and we are disappointed. But I can understand that they have...

I went to Stratford for a few days with friends, and this was my favourite place for lunch. Inexpensive, good service (order/pay at the counter, which is faster than waiting to be seated, waiting for the bill to arrive, etc.). I've tried the quiche, pizza (one is enough for two people) and two salads - they were all very good,... more
We mostly take out from here, but have eaten in and have never been disappointed. This is a nice little restaurant and could easily qualify as a "hidden gem".
We have eaten here several times over the past two years. We have found the food well prepared, tasty, and presented well. Sandwiches, salads and desserts give you good value portions for your money. The pizza compares well to anything else offered in Stratford.
Pizza good but crust too thick for a thin crust. Greek salad okay. Desserts okay. Casual décor. Place your order at the counter. Reasonable prices. I would eat there again but would not make a point of going back.
