Fresh, homemade food - good service but takes a bit of extra time which was worth it. Strawberry crepes were delicious. Western sandwich was the best - one fresh while wheat baquette. Good lattes.
Absolutely an amazing breakfast! The setting is in an art studio building but the food tastes like a 5star restaurant. Super friendly staff. The marinated fruit crepe is delicious and so are the omelets. Would mark this as a MUST in Fredericton NB
Very good food, great value. The waffles were great. A little hard to find but worth the look. Will be back again!
Great food for a real good value. We had waffles and crepes, it was real good. If you have a sweet tooth in the morning it is a great place to go. Also, the coffee was pretty decent in its own right. Located in the basement use the side entrance and look for signage on the walls to find your... more
Very friendly service, the lady is from Belgium and knows her waffles! The ambiance is really nice with local art on the walls and its a hidden gem!
Stopped in with my daughter for breakfast today. Love the homey feel and service was outstanding. I love local art and you get a feeling of comfort. Love chatting with the owner. Food tiny bit pricey for what it is, but so worth it for the experience. A hidden gem of Fredericton
Both the breakfast and lunch menu are delicious but the real trip is for dessert and coffee! Belgian waffles, cafe mochas, it's all amazing! The couple who own the cafe are extremely friendly and multi-lingual and cafe has a very cozy atmosphere. It's an odd location and you might think you are lost but follow the signs to the basement... more
Excellent waffles, crepes, omelettes, soups, and sandwiches. (I hear the coffee is good, too.).Ample portions, and they use lots of real cream and butter in their offerings. All fresh and many locally grown ingredients. They also sell very good Belgian chocolate.
Local artists are featured on the walls, some of whom have studios right in the building. There is a...

I can not say enough about this place the food is the best I have eaten and I enjoy going. All food is cooked fresh and the environment is very pleasant. It is a gem .
Went for lunch, had the tomato soup with ham and cheese sandwich, along with a Belgian chocolate mocha. Yum! It was amazing. Will definitely be back!
In the basement of the Charlotte Street Arts Centre, it can be a little hard to find. Good food, simple, interesting crowd. They have a menu and daily specials.
I loved their crepes when they were at the market a few years ago (at the end outside bt Brunswick St). Excellent service and great atmosphere. Was a bit difficult to find in the building at first - but worth the confusing walk about ha ha.
Have eaten here many times when visiting. The coffee is roasted on site and is the best Fredericton has to offer. Haven't yet sampled the fancy coffees since the regular is so smooth and delish. Staff is very friendly and quick. The lunch special is always really well done but the breakfast is one of the best in town. The... more
Located in the refurbished Charlotte St School, behind the Charlotte St Arts centre, at 732 Charlotte St ( if that's not already clear!). It is difficult to find, located behind and in the basement of the building. Seating is limited with only 8 - 10 tables and the service can be slow (only a cook and waiter doing double duty!)... more
Food is good but not cheap for the amount you get. Its in a place that is difficult to find, an old school, in the basement, not many signs to help you find it. Everything is done fresh so its a fairly long wait unless you get the special.
I have nothing bad to say about this family owned restaurant, their food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. I recommend their soup and sandwich special for lunch, most notably the turkey sandwich (real turkey) and leek soup or tomato soup, it's to die for!
Excellent Belgian waffles and amazing crepe creations. We adored this couple's food when they had a food truck at the market. They have now opened up a sweet little place under the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. Decorated with local art and a little cafe type set up with table service. I highly suggest getting an item with chocolate as they... more
Great amazing food, cosy atmosphere and friendly service...hidden gem in Freddy but it has the best food! I highly recommend it!
I've been going to Sweet Belgian Desire since they built their own cafe and left the market. For waffles, crepes, soups, and sandwiches, this is the place to go. It's in the basement of the Charlotte Street Arts Centre but is aesthetically pleasing. These owners are great to have in the community and have European secrets they add to each... more
Located in an old school building under an art gallery and dance studio, the food is excellent -- probably the best choice in town for breakfast.
A real gem. I am a local and eat here every week. A bit hard to find - you have to walk through the Charlotte Street Arts Centre but it is well worth it. Nice food, wonderful desserts. Friendly owners. Great coffee and very good value.
