Living in Hull nearly all my life and I had never been to Café Cognac so finally with all the media promoting their anniversary year, I said to myself let's go...

Four of us (2 couples) decided to try Cafe Cognac out based on the reviews on TA for dinner on Saturday evening. We were promptly greeted and seated by a very pleasant lovely young server. She gave us our menus and was patient and friendly while we hemmed and hawed over our choices! : )

I've been to Café cognac for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I'm always impressed with the great service, the constantly good fresh food and the reasonable price. It's my new "go to" restaurant for all occasions.

It was our girls night out,all 18 of us raging from 37 to 87 years old. It was suggested that we have a Table d'Hôte that I had the privilege of choosing for our group. Choices were chicken, salmon and pasta. Two ladies of our group were able to choose from à la carte menu.

27 novembre 2012Been there before. today potato and zucchini cream was starchy and bland. Fries and croque madame were soft and almost cold. service was weird. Female server would bring the main dish while my friend was still eating his soup. she made a weird comment: ok! take your last spoonful. not going back for a while. maybe never. other restaurants in region that are much better.

Great Breakfast
14 novembre 2012We went today for breakfast and 4 people had four different breakfast. One a fruit cup, one Eggs and Bacon, another Omlette with swiss cheese and the last a Western Omlette. Went for a Sunday brunch because some people we knew had heard good things about it. Fifteen to twenty minute wait didn't seem like that long which was a change from the restaurants that tell you fifteen and take thirty.

Went to Cafe Cognac on February 26th, 2011 for breakfast. Food was good and the service was complimentary. Some renovations have taken place and its starting to look cozier. The ambiance was pleasurable. Prices are great!
I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, with families as well.
