Nice atmosphere, good food

I had a sabiche that was realy good, i missed the spice and more color like a mango or geen paper...
I had a paper corn serilion steak that was ok.
Looks like a nice place for cocktails.

Good food & service

We had a very good meal here. Service was friendly but waitress was a bit scatty but not the end of the world. We found the restaurant (like the one in Vancouver) to be fairly expensive in South African financial terms but it was delicious and we enjoyed ourselves.

Great food

Great food and great service. It is a chain that, as far as I can tell, is all over Canada. It is usually pretty busy but we never had any real wait.

Server was very attentive, made us feel welcome and made sure we had fun. She gave us suggestions for drinks, took our picture, and was friendly. Food was excellent too!

Big chain restaurant proof again has a bad service. The restaurant is located on a busy street and at lunch time it wasn't busy inside but took long time to get us some water even. Surprisingly good

Not sure about it since it was off the main drag (government), and the menu seems a bit broad, but all 6 of us had great meals. Entirely recommend. Fabulous service, too.

Excellent Food and Service

Good value, great food

We expected less and were pleasantly surprised. Friendly wait staff, good food, reasonable pricing. For a hour afterwards we congratulated each other on a good choice for our first meal out in downtown Victoria.

More than a "theme" restaurant

Was taken out for lunch with 3 work colleagues, one of whom is my boss. One of the people said this place makes the best veggie burgers so I ordered one with a salad. Fabulous as always

I have been a fan of the Cactus Club chain for many years and their Victoria location has to be one of their best.
Their staff are always so very attentive and their food excellent.

Fabulous appetizers, great service

We didn't have dinner but sampled 5 appetizers. Everything was amazing and our servers were equally fantastic. We'll be going back soon. P.S. You must try the carpaccio!!!

Definitely a Five

While visiting Family in Victoria, we went out to the Cactus Club to take a break from cooking and baking. We were not disappointed. Yes, it was at the higher end on the $ scale. Worth every penny. Service, drinks and food was excellence! Would definitely return.

Good food with nice service

We 've been cactus club many times in different location. Each location has same standard , food and service. Tonight group of us go for drinking , our server is so nice , she take care us very good, come to ask all the time to check how the wine is ,also food , polite, cute girl, great hospitality.

Nice Treat

Went for a dinner. Food was very good with prices on the higher side. Service was great not only from my waiter but the entire staff. The short ribs were great. Great place to unwind.

Consistently yummy

This is a great restaurant that is happy to cater to it's clients. They will never say no to a request. But heads up there is no kids menu so feeding your child will be very costly.

What Fantastic Food and Service

We visited Victoria for the day to see Butchart Gardens and stopped here for dinner based on a recommendation from a northern Vancouver firefighter. Fantastic food - the duck sandwich, Szechuan Salmon Rice bowl and garden burger were fantastic, a great value too!

nice place but weak drinks

we went there for drinks. their bar area is nice but our drinks underwhelmed us. they were weak in terms of taste all other. they were only sweet but did have no fruit or alcohol taste, very watery. we tried 4 different drinks and in hindsight we should have just have some wine instead.

My fiance and I went to the Cactus Club one evening around 9 o'clock for a late dinner. We were seated outside next to the street and ordered drinks. Best Food I've had in my life

I can easily say that the Cactus Club has the best dish I've ever had. The "Butternut Squash Ravioli with Prawns" is the most delicious meal! I could not have been more pleased. I can't wait to go back!

Outstanding overall experience

Waterfront dining, excellent food (my son had the Millionares Meal: filet with shrimp, asparagus and mashed potatoes...he said it was one of the best meals ever). I had a salad with salmon. Very fresh. Terrific service and menu. Good for vegetarians as well. Highly recommended.

Cactus Club Always delivers fabulous food and excellent enthusiastic service and that is exactly what we got Sunday July 7. As usual the steaks were wonderful...the chicken tender, the appetizers mouth watering and all served up by good looking caring staff. Another great evening out at the Cactus Club. Best dinner we had in 4 nights

I had the 7oz version of the creole steak and prawns. Food was excellent and so was the service. Wife stuck with appetizers. Margarita and Heinekens were $1 off....we saved $4.
Went with four family members. All meals were excellent. Would recommend this to restaurant to anyone visiting Victoria.

Boring

Nothing really wrong with this place, just nothing special compared to all the great sights and places to eat fresh food in victoria. Feels like a chain restaurant, dark inside and expensive.

Three times in five days

My husband and I are from a province that doesn't have this restaurant, so we gave it a try. Starter salads are huge and delicious. My husband got hooked on the lettuce wraps, and I became addicted to the butternut squash ravioli. Service was excellent. We will be back.

Love this palce

We eat here every time we are in Canada. I can not say enough good things about the food. I love the drinks, the Ravioli is AMAZING, the duck sandwich is great, the rib sandwich was awesome.
I try dupliacting the recipes at home and just end up wanting to go to Canda just to eat here.

Excellent food and service

We had a party of 5 kids and 4 adults. The Cactus Club staff was amazingly accomodating and provided excellent service. There is not a kids menu however they were happy to serve the children (ages 3-9 years) and made up plates of chicken and vegetables for $4.50. The food was excellent and most importantly for me -served hot.

Welcoming and wonderful food

Went there for dinner with our 2 kids tonight. The couldn't have been more helpful, flexible and friendly. I was a bit worried when we walked up to the door and saw it was staffed by girls in slinky black dresses, but they were really welcoming to the kids.

Whenever we have friends or family visit us from the UK this restaurant is top of the list. We have never had a bad experience here. 5 of us had a lovely meal all choosing different dishes which were excellent.
