We had the chowder and the gumbo. Both were very good, but be prepared for the spicy heat with the gumbo.
Seating at this end of St. Lawrence Market during our visit was looking a little disorganized so you might want to eyeball the place before you order if you plan on sitting down at the restaurant for your meal....

Spoke to the vendor and he said "just like in Newfoundland or the east coast".
Well I hope the east coast and Newfoundland eat better than this!
Had clam strips and fries @ 10.00 and the fish & chips 11.95 and all I can say is that I have had much better frozen pre packaged Captain Highliner at half the...

I read reviews and passed over the peameal bacon sandwich in favor of Busters. Wish I hadn't. The fish was mediocre, not great. The fries were dark brown and limp. I wasn't pleased. But for the price tag, I felt like I needed to eat what I bought. That didn't make me happy about it though. Long lines are misleading;... more
I often go to this little gem when I am in the neighborhood. My wife and I always have a hard time deciding what to order, both because there is so much choice and the high prices.
But go ahead, spoil yourself... especially if you are a tourist and looking to have an 'experience' as part of your visit to...

We had the lobster roll and it was delicious! The line up was long at 2:30pm....we thought it must be good. Yes, it was good! We wish we had more room to try out more food from this restaurant.
We will definitely come back for other food from this restaurant.
We went for a 1 day sightseeing visit to Toronto and visited the St. Lawrence market as one of our must-see points of the city. We had some amazing Halibut on a bun and Haddock on a bun at Bustsr's Sea Cove which we would eat anytime again. The place is bustling with activity and people line up to fetch... more

fish and chips worth each dollar .... nice to visit inside the market a place good to have a lunch.....

We were lucky enough to get food from Buster's Sea Cove's food truck at a music festival on the weekend. Of the half dozen trucks on site, Buster's provided the best meal experience. (one of the trucks served cold fries for $5!
We had both the shrimp and the Octopus tacos, both were cooked perfectly (no small feat with octopus!)...

i brought the kids to St. Lawrence Market for the first time….they loved it. My son had the lobster roll….he was moaning while eating. He usually doesn't eat french fries…but loved the thin cut fries cooked in peanut oil. My daughter and I share the halibut and chips. The fish was so fresh and tender and the batter was not... more
I go to this place often. Staff is friendly and head Chef (Mo) is awesome. Crabcakes are amazing here. Also the price points for food could be cheaper as it a takeaway place in the market which little overheads and no seating (other than part of market).
I stumbled upon Buster's Sea Cove in the rear of the St. Lawrence Market, and what a find! I had the best fish and chips of my life (halibut and chips) for a very reasonable price. The halibut was fresh, flavorful, tender, and very lightly breaded. The chips (cooked in peanut oil) were very tasty and seemed not to be... more
Is so wonderful to walk inside the St. Lawrence Market, you can see every kind of food, giant lobster, or giant crabs! When you get to the buster's sea cove probably you will see a long queue but it's not a problem because you can order even when you are in queue so you probably will get your order after... more
Very average seafood fare. I got fried calamari. With all the fresh seafood vendors around this shack I thought it would be fresh squid. But no. It was frozen out of a box. Very disappointing. I also had the fried halibut with chips. The halibut was cooked fine. Didn't like the texture which lead me to believe it too may... more
This is a great alternative to the pea meal bacon sandwich or the mustachios eggplant (both great). A huge selection of fish and seafood sandwiches and entrees. Smelts are in season right now and so delicious. Always a crowd here on a Saturday morning.
While visiting The St. Lawrence Market, we noticed the fact that Busters always had a line of twenty or thirty people. We squeezed in and looked over the counter to see the most wonderful squid and octopus on the grill, the likes we have not seen since leaving Portugal. Their operation is very efficient and we has our food within... more
located in the south end of the market this place is always, always, always packed - and for good reason! fish is always so fresh and tasty! Love the friend calamari, grilled swordfish and haddock sandwich. Don't miss this place if you like seafood.
Lobster roll with curly fries, pickle and coleslaw for silly money! Presentation, service and fun ambience eating in a market. It gets busy, but so it should when the food and prices are this good. Unfortunately we cant get back there for another lunch as the menu had so much tempting fare.
I had wandered over to St. Lawrence Market on my Thursday lunch hour to pick up a few things and noticed a crowd of people around Buster's Sea Cove. I'd never heard of it before but thought I definitely had to give it a try because there were so many people either in line ordering, waiting for their order or... more
We have been regulars at Busters for several years, before Tom bought out the previous owner. The food just gets better and better. We can't say enough about the spicy muscles, fish and chips, lobster rolls, calamari, chowder, etc. We've had just about everything on the menu. The lines may be long but they move fast. Food is cooked to... more
Pros: very quick service; better than average octopus by Toronto standards (i.e. not too many octopi in Lake Ontario, so its all imported); nicely presented; opportunity to order with a decent salad; chance to shop in this good quality market afterwards
Cons: taste was just OK, average; loud as hell when busy; seating may or may not be available during...

The fish here is really fresh and the prices are really affordable.

Always a lunch lineup but it moves fast. The calamari is an unusual treat and the crab roll is good. Lobster sandwich is not one of their better products.
Saw the Sea Cove food truck on Eat St.. wen't to the St Lawrence Market for our 1st visit. Had a Lobster Roll and Fries + Slaw.. OUTSTANDING. It was as good as expected from the reviews we had read.
We got there just before the lunch rush..had about 6 or 7 people ahead of us., it took about 5...

15bucks for a sandwich may be a bit steep for some - but wait until you try this thing! I had a few on my tour around Maine and over into Canada - this place was by far the best!

Several weeks ago I was at the St. Lawrence Market for a jam making class. After the class I had a few hours to kill and chose to walk around the market in search for something to eat. The options were endless, but ultimately I settled on calamari.

My TO's Food Trucks pilot is definitely smashingly, deliciously successful and it is just like Eat St on the Foodnetwork but real and accessible! It was a 'easy-piecey' job finding the Food Trucks schedules and locations thru 'food trucks toronto' website. Since we've had the Buster's freshiest and yummiest seafood at the St. Lawrence Market many moons ago, we decided... more
My first experience was with their food truck. I had one of the best (if not THE best) shrimp tacos and shrimp tacos ever. It was a 8 month wait before I had... more
These guys really have their stuff down! They were pretty busy but kept the line moving quickly. The food is fresh and tastes great! And the atmosphere of being in the market area was nice, or you could go outside to the patio area right next to the stand. Def will go back when we visit Toronto again!
I highly recommend Buster's Sea Cove! While they were very busy, the food still came out incredibly fast; they guys working there are friendly and very efficient. I ordered a shrimp po' boy (sandwich) and clam chowder, and I couldn't have been happier with the food. It was DELICIOUS! I would definitely order food from here again if in the... more
I have been by this place several times but never stopped until this weekend. I was extremely impressed with the efficiency and level of the service. On top of that the sandwiches were great. One of my favourite casual eats in the area, and especially in st lawrence market. The grilled octopus and calamari is excellent. Add a side or two to the order if you want other stuff.

OMG - this is the perfect fish sandwich, succulent battered fish (you have a selection of boston blue, halibut, or haddock), on a fresh bun, layered with tomato slices, lettuce and spanish onion. I give it splash of hot sauce for the ultimate in perfection. Easy to split this with someone else it's quite generous. I'm addicted to them.
This is a food stall in the st Lawrence market so has no pretentious of being a 'fine Dining' spot however the choice and quality of the fish here is great. I had the lobster bisque and grilled sardines. Made me remember eating sardines straight of the grill in Southern Spain.
Saw the long line and had to try. We got through fairly quick as your order is taken while your in line. Had the Halibut sandwich and it was perfect. The batter was light and crispy. The bun and garnishes were fresh and the sauce was the an excellent compliment to a beautiful halibut sandwich.
This is the place to find great & cheap seafood! The seafood is displayed at the counter & cooked upon ordering so it's a guaranteed fresh! I had never had clam strips before but the quality of them seemed pretty good!!! I do wish it was a bit cheaper to come with a side coleslaw or fries but no matter.
The atmosphere is a bit noisy since it is in the market, but I haven't found a better place to get them in Toronto yet.
We decided to eat here after reading all the positive comments on trip advisor. The first night we got there at 5.30pm and were told they had shut so we came back on the Friday at 5pm to have some fish and chips. We opted for the calamari and chips and grilled prawns. Both were nice but nothing to write... more
Fresh sea food at a decent price.I usually get the grilled salmon sandwich which comes with a side slaw. Same sort of thing as with the salmon.... more

This place (in the St. Lawrence Market) is just simply awesome. The food is pretty much seafood. The soups, fish, calamari and many other items are simply excellent. Eat there or take soup home - it is fantastic.

I went on a Saturday afternoon in December. The place is packed. There is a line of about five people waiting to order. Almost all the tables are occupied.
