Never eat at this Shack. Please never eat this ever. It tasted so bad we went to another restaurant. It does not deserve 1st place at all.

Worst Fish and Chips I have ever eaten

It's not that hard to make decent chips. These were a soggy lumpy mess. The trick in Fish & Chips is the batter. The fish itself was fresh. But the batter was subpar and just oily.

Pretty Good

We rarely eat fried food but happened to notice Bronte's sign while passing through downtown Oakville on Friday evening and decided to stop.

Best Fish & Chips in Halton

I've eaten fish and chips at pretty much every restaurant in the Oakville/Burlington in the last 20 years and Bronte Fish & Chips are best bar none! I always order the halibut and chips with coleslaw and have yet to be disappointed in the food. Always perfectly cooked and delicious!

The area has spruced up but not this place

Same tired décor from 35 years ago. The Father took great pride in his quality of food and returning clientele. There has been a series of help who are not cooks and the food service reflected that. This local establishment has been a main stay in Bronte. We have enjoyed the Halibut and chips on several occasions as a take out option. Days of Ore, Bronte Fish and Chips has great fish and has been a family owned operation for quite a number of years. If you have take out, your package is wrapped in paper (not newspaper) but brown paper ... just the way it should be.
