The food is is incredibly cheap and for the price it tastes good :) a little slow to make but they do make all the rolls to order
To say that this is the worst excuse of a restaurant attempt in the history of mankind is to give this owner a compliment.
RUUUN!!!
Very watered down Miso Soup, 2-3grams of dressing on Salad, and Sushi that look like it belongs in a dumpster!
I had the most horrible experience at Broadway Seafood & Sushi today. My friend and I order 'Special E', then 3 minutes later it was delivered to our table mushy like it had been pre made, the tuna smelled sour and the outside colouring of the sweet yam tempura was a greyish colour. I politely told the guy who rang in the order that we wanted to be refunded and he shouted at us "are you saying... more
So it's not the prettiest or best sushi in Vancouver but it is good value (The quality is good for the price). Sushi for those who need a fix, indeed!
Hmmm... definitely not. As I approached the counter, I asked for a vegetarian combo, in which he abruptly replied "Which one!?". I said "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know there were different kinds - are they all the same price?" He said "Which one!". I said never mind, and ordered a california roll and miso soup. He said "Sit down" and that's the rest I heard from him. He was pretty rude and seemed... more
Great sushi for the price, not a great place to take a date. Best for take out as the decor is terrible but really, its about the food when ur looking for quick sushi. If you want an ambient sit down dragged out dining experience, do not go here. But if your in the neighbourhood and want a quick fix. this is it! Always fast and fresh, never had a problem with the food.
Honest sushi and fresh fish. It's your neighbourhood sushi place and I pickup a tray regularly. The quality is consistent and the fish is always good. The salmon is wild and can be with the other ingredients bought if you want to make your own sushi at home.
As for the decor - it is what it is. I rather see the money go into the ingredients than in decor - at this price range. As I said this...

This place is surprising in that it is not terrible given what it looks like from the outside and from the inside. We went here based on Yelp reviews (average of 4.5 stars, at the time) and because we were in Kitsilano looking for good sushi. I found reviews that described this as cheap, good, fresh sushi. That's good enough for me -- I don't mind simple decor if the food is outstanding. But,... more
The first time I went here was by accident. A bunch of us were meeting up for sushi on Broadway and we got mixed up. This definitely isn't a sweet spot for sit-in dining! I have to say that if I was reviewing their sushi I'd give it 3 stars. I found the miso bland and the sushi was ok but that's it. What got me back though was their selection of items to make your own sushi. I picked up a nice... more
good sushi, lots for the price and a great selection. the decor is basic and the staff are a little hard to hear, but besides that everything was great :)
Brilliant! Best sushi in Vancouver. Comparitively inexpensive... Perfect size rolls, and speedy, friendly service. Excellent quality fish, and even their California roll is better as the crab pieces are whole and not shredded.
Rule #1: Do not judge a book by its cover.
I didn't go here for over a year because I was convinced it couldn't be good. Not only is it good, its fresh and super cheap too. Go in and the decor does not impress but they use all fresh ingredients and its run by one family, so go out and support your local businesses. Oh yeah, they also have tons of veg. friendly choices, so go wild.
The spicey...
