Just what the doctor didn't order

You only live once and this place is work the visit. The menu is extensive. We enjoyed the hospitality of Gaby (our server). She was patient as we took a long time to decide. She was also helpful with recommendation. We will certainly go back.

Had to try this, and it is genuine

Got the smoked meat and pig knuckles platter, and I guess I got what I asked for. Large portion of two meats, with poutine on the side and a portion of spicy cole slaw. Good Value Breakfast

Breakfast for 4 cost $42, 2 meals of eggs, bacon, toast, fried potatoes and 2 omelettes. Unlimited coffee and tea for the drinks. The food was good although it could have been hotter. Service was excellent.

because I saw mixed reviews here and was in the area, I thought I'd give it a shot. yeah, no. while the smoked meat was moist, it lacked flavor. fries were limp and undercooked. for a place bold enough to call itself "brisket," they could do a heck of a lot better.

Not bad, not great

Nice little place in downtown. But...it didn't meet our expectation. It is not the BEST smoked meat in town as they advertise on their website. The meat was too fat and we found it too expensive for what we got. Service was ok. You can find better restaurants in town but you can find worse.

I went to Brisket after buying an online voucher that was 30$ for 100$ worth of food for two people.
The deal seemed almost too good to be true as the feast consisted of fried mushroom starter, salad, smoked meat sampler, steak and potatoes, desert and a bottle of wine.

Great experience! I ate a Smoked Meat Poutine and it was pretty tasty and good. We were a group of 10 people and the service was impressively fast compared to other restaurant in the area. I recommend it if you want to eat some Fast Food.

Delicious Brisket Club Sandwich, and certainly recommended, but the fries are soggy and revolting, and the coleslaw was equally inedible. Clearly they know how to smoke their meats though, but perhaps that's where it ends.

Just Walk On By

Everything that can go wrong did. The salad dressing was puckering. The smoked meat was dry. The steak was bland and tough. The fries limp. The dessert was frozen. The drinks were too expensive. And the service was half baked.The atmosphere was a bar atmosphere (ie almost none) with giant TVs taking most of the space.

Dry and spicy smoked meat

Being smoked meat lovers, we wouldn't recommend this place. The meat was dry as cardboard and covered with too much spices. It's the first time I can't finish a smoked meat sandwich and my husband was not pleased with his either. Being from Montreal we were expecting better. On the hand the service was excellent.

Excellent service. Many varieties of food

We were there for dinner. We were quickly accomodated, even though we did not have a reservation.Their beef brisket was super good! Service was attentive. All the orders came quickly, without mistakes (we were a group of 9).

Smoked Meat -- Wow

We saw the Brisket Montreal on the Internet before we went to Montreal and decide to try it. We took the Metro out to the Beaver Hill stop. and had to only walk a short distance. Not sure what the hype is all about

Briskets is an ok restaurant. There is alot of tourist flow there for a taste of Montreal's smoked meat (which is the restaurant's specialty), with tour buses making a stop there quite often. Although the smoked meat is decent, it's nowhere as good as the one from Shwartz (best in the city). When it gets really full, service takes ages.... plus

À part la bière, j'ai trouvé mon repas un peu bof. Je n'ai pas essayé leurs xy sortes de burgers, le smoked meat était un peu sec (peut-être parce que je l'ai pris maigre).

Ils ont des burgers et poutines au sanglier, cerfs, kangourou, boeuf et plein d'autres trucs. Paraîtrait qu'au sanglier c'est excellent!

Par contre, j'ai beaucoup apprécié la grannnnde table ovale à laquelle on était,... plus
