Used to be 5 stars around 2016 when the really nice bread was used for BLTs.

Deducting two stars because the new bread used tastes like cake. Too sweet!

Located in the Path, inside the First Canadian Place, ground level near Longo's and Suzy Shier.

I'm glad to say that the sausage rolls here are still 100% delicious!!! Nothing beats their sausage rolls whatsoever. I used to buy them on the regular when I worked in Toronto. Although they look small, they are so flavourful and filled with sausage and cheese. I noticed they have other savoury... more

I was called in for an interview by Shanee Silver and got interviewed by Kaleigh Halls. (I am not sure if these are their real names I am going off by their emails).Kaleigh was unprofessional at best and even though the interview started out okay she lost control of herself near the end.She even told me she was giving me a trial shift and waited until the end of the following week to tell me it... more

Since I was on the quest to find the best croissant in Toronto, I have to search high and low for these buttery goodness.

So I tried Brick Street's Chocolate Croissant today and from the outside it's aesthetically pleasing, looks crunchy and fresh plus you can see chocolates coming out from it.

As I bit into a piece of the croissant, I felt like I was biting into the 'abyss of nothingness'.... more

I bought a chocolate brioche here and it was fresh and fluffy. There was a thin tube of chocolate in the middle and the quality was good. It was not too sweet, it was just right for my taste. It was just a bit pricey for such a small size brioche. There were other options in the shop. I also look forward to try their other products.

I only tried the lamb kofta wrap, which was pretty good. It was much heartier and more filling than it looks, and it wasn't that well wrapped and fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The sauce was good and I enjoyed the sandwich overall, but as I was eating a solo kofta that fell out of the sandwich, I realized that it was actually not that flavorful alone and on the dry side. Overall fine... more

Tried their lemon tart which was quite dense and overly sweet. The cashier made the experience worse by acting very nonchalant and rather annoyed when being asked for clarification on the filling used in the nanaimo bars, who responded several times with "have you ever had a nanaimo bar?!" without directly answering my question, as if it's as common as a chocolate chip cookie.

While I can't argue about the quality of their products - read other reviews if you want to find out how tasty their pies, bread, cakes, tarts, etc. are - I find their staff 'off-putting'.  Any time I've gone there, it almost seems like they're doing me a favor and they'd rather be anyplace else.   Although I hesitate to call them outright rude, they could certainly sharpen their customer... more

I only order 1 sandwich: British Style Egg Salad. It's that good.

Being British this is the sandwich for me, and it should be for you too. They make it big here, on thick slices of freshly baked Organic White loaf, using just enough sauce so it doesn't drip on your fresh pressed white shirt, and lots of smashed eggs to get you through the rest of the day.

As for the other stuff there are a... more

Located in the PATH right across the Longo's, north of TD Towers, in First Canadian Place, this location has a pretty decent variety of fresh desserts and lunch options.

I've visited a couple of times for their custard tarts, and overall, they taste fine, but they're pricier compared to other Portuguese custard tarts you can purchase in the GTA.

Been here a few times. So far, everything has exceeded expectations from their lemon tarts to their cookies (I had the lemon poppyseed cookie and it was an excellent balance of sweetness and tartness) to more savoury goods such as their pulled pork sandwiches and Cornish pastries was really good. I'm looking forward to trying out their pies and other pastries!

It is an above average option in the PATH system underneath the TSX stock market and across from Langos, The soup is the best. I enjoy their Kelp soup for its freshness and apparent all-natural contents. The BLT is nothing special. The meatloaf is similarly average, but has superior bread. The Coronation Chicken is their best sandwich. Like their other options the above average bread/buns... more

Was expecting my usual Boxing Day sandwich which I normally pick up at the Distillery location. However, this location for the Boxing Day sandwich is AWFUL!!! It`s grizzly to say the least, the turkey being dry, tendon-y, and appears it was scrounged together and picked off a day old turkey. Should not have been sold! I have genrally avoided this place becasue most of their offerings are not as healthy as the types of lunches I typically eat.  But I went here with a colleague and decided to have the chilli.  I am not a picky eater and usually will eat anything but ...... it was terrible. Taking away 1 star because I sometimes get baked items (croissants, pastries) that taste not-so-fresh... but I still find myself coming to this bakery for other items.

Recently tried the sandwiches, my favorite so far is the lamb kofta wrap. The sandwiches are a bit of a wait, especially during the lunch rush. (The grilled cheese will take at least 10 minutes)

This bakery is one of the reasons why I come back to the Distillery district. We stumbled upon this place a while back in search of a snack, and were fortunate to try the Sausage Rolls. Pros

Fresh bread and ingredients
Large portions (I managed to eat my sandwich in 2 meals)

Cons
The 'hot' boxing day (Turkey) sandwich was stone cold and so was not enjoyable to me. But if you like cold food it's not bad. Taste was fine just not what was promised.
Long lines

I'm very pleased to have found another good lunch option in the financial district!

The service here is always friendly, even when there's a long lineup. The food is always solid.

I had their Chicken Club this week and all I can say is "yuck". The chicken is totally gross, shreds and chunks tossed in some kind of flavor that resembles El Paso taco seasoning from the grocery store. Yes, I'm a fan. Great sandwiches, they are friendly, and they process a lot of people quickly.

A quick note on quality: I had an untoasted roast beef last week, which had very little meat in it and almost tasted freezer burned! Bread was dry, and the meat had no moisture or flavour to it.
