What a pleasure to find a B&B about 12 miles from airport in an idyllic tranquil setting with deer grazing in the field when you arrive late at night and the host has left you a note with all instructions to get you settled in to a super comfy bed and beautifully furnished home. Heritage home in beautiful surroundings.

Beautifully kept property with traditional decor as well as luxury linens and comfort. The peaceful setting was both relaxing and rejuvenating. Our host was very accommodating to our needs for an early departure and sent us off with a bagged breakfast to eat at the airport.

Deer, two fawns and buck came to visit.

Very nice place!

This was the first time my wife and I stayed at a bed and breakfast and I must say it was a good one. We only stayed the one night but the service/hospitality was great. They have a beautiful open garden to enjoy. We had a very clean room and found the price was very affordable. We would definitely would go back again!

Elmsdale is a quiet village, but not far from the airport and with easy highway access to drive to Halifax or Truro. Very nice facilities, friendly hosts. Wonderful B&B. We had a late arrival at Halifax Airport, and then short drive to Briarwood, which is in Elmsdale. The house is beautiful, yet comfortable, without feeling over-done. Bed was super comfortable, with great linens. This was one of the nicest B&B's on our trip. Wish we would have had more time to enjoy it.

This is the place to stay if you are just coming from the Halifax airport...or leaving. The hosts are warm and inviting, and the home itself will draw you in...it is such a charming & comfortable atmosphere...and the breakfast was wonderful as well. I stayed at Briarwood for one night in May, and wish that I could have stayed longer! My room was large, clean and bright, and had a huge ensuite bathroom. We arrived late and were greeted warmly by Con, the owner. Our room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed the lovely living room and dining room. (Did I mention wi-fi?) Great breakfast...enjoyed the other guests.
