Loved it. My favorite restaurant in Fredericton. Highly recommend it as a fine dining restaurant.
Brewbakers is a fun pub, cafe, and restaurant on three levels in a cleverly adapted downtown building. It's a bustling and informal spot -- a meeting spot of sorts for the town -- creatively cluttered with art and artifacts. Lunch hours and early evenings get very busy. The cafe section is quieter, as is a mezzanine dining room above the cafe, while the third floor bustles with the open... more
Professional staff, very knowledgeable both about the food and the wine selection (which is ample).
Whether it's a quiet dinner with your significant other or a get together with friends Brewbakers seems to work.
Dress is business casual up to "dressy". Be sure to make a reservation!
Beer was good. Expensive food. Extremely loud. I could hardly hear the person across from me.
Worst of all though, our waiter had the worst BO I have ever smelled. It was discussing. I couldn't believe he was bringing me food. He smelled so bad.
Just average. You can get better food at a better price elsewhere in town. Great service though! Cool open kitchen design too.
Great mushroom and goat cheese risotto. Unfortunately, the server didn't bring me any bread or water. When I mentioned this, his excuse was he usually worked daytimes. Feeble!! No attempt to compensate me for this. This has happened two of the last three times I have been here. Time for these folks to pull up their socks. There is new... more
I had the seafood fettuccini and it was very good. Well cooked and good flavor. I would go again. Get the garlic bread with cheese as well. Good atmosphere to socialize.
My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Brewbakers and thought it was your local pub grub until we went inside, WOW were we wrong. Very classy, gorgeous restaurant. Love the atmosphere. The waiters and waitresses all greeted us and our waitress was there right away to seat us and give us some suggestions on what to order (as it is more... more
We enjoyed the food. The waitress, however, was a little distracted, forgot to refill water or to ask my husband if he wanted another drink.
Prices were a little high, considering the average service. Other than that, we would recommend this place.
Our experience here was excellant, food is unique without being weird. I had a really interesting side salad - quinoa/couscous salad on greens, rest of group had caesar salad with big slices of parmesan cheese. It is obvious that this place prepares their food from scratch and it is extremely fresh. Words of warning - we sat out on the... more
My husband and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at brew bakers on Friday, July 11th in the evening. From the moment we walked in it was great. We were met with a lovely atmosphere, and smiling faces. We chose a lovely spot on their gorgeous rooftop patio with great view of downtown Fredericton. Everyone went out of their way... more
The food was and service were both excellent. Within 5 minutes of being at the restaurant, several servers were on the ball - making sure they gave us updates on the status of our table. We sat on the patio. The appetizers were delicious. We ordered mussels, a bacon jam with cottage cheese dish, and the Caprese Salad - all... more
This was a FANTASTIC meal! We found the listing online when searching for gf options while traveling through Fredericton, New Brunswick. It absolutely surprised and delighted us all! My Mother, son and I ate there during lunchtime and the waiter was attentive, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. (He called my 13 year old son "sir"- which I know was a big... more
My wife and I ate here twice during our short trip to Fredericton. On a Thursday afternoon, we stopped by for appetizers after a long walk around the city. On the next day, we ate lunch here. The menu is very nice and features many healthful options. My quinoa salad with grilled salmon was outstanding. Our servers were very welcoming.... more
Brewbakers has a reputation as being the best restaurant in town and it's not undeserved. The cooking staff and wait staff take great pride in being the best in town. The food is priced accordingly so don't expect to get in and out without paying what you'd expect to pay in a good restaurant. I've tried many of the items... more
I had been to Brewbakers a number of years ago for lunch and it was good. I was invited to supper there in the middle of May. The atmosphere is a little run down looking, but clean. We ordered a variety of dishes at our table. The appetizers were good (Savory Bacon Jam) (Goat Cheese Platter) but skimpy for the... more
Love the open kitchen. Food is good, the atmosphere is really what we like most here. The patio is now open and really nice for summer evenings. The brick oven pizzas are always excellent.
I went with a friend for dinner, the up stairs set up is a bit confusing, not a great entrance to the resto. Once sitted, we were served very promptly and the servers were very professional. Shared delicious calamari and had the maple curry pasta. Very good and good portions. Creme brûlée for dessert was ok, but quite cold (I... more
Menu is diverse and food preparation is always consistent. Decent prices. Great ambiance and lovely upper deck screened deck for semi-outdoor dining. Would recommend.
My favorite is their Tenderloin Burger, better than a steak as they are tender, tasty and juicy. Toppings are mushrooms cooked perfectly and a special sauce.
After running a marathon, we needed good filling food. We found it! I had the bacon jam appetizer, it was so good, w/little goat cheese balls and a couple bites of salad and of course the bacon jam. For dinner I had the Carbonara Linguine. So filling! Really good flavors w/ a bit of a spicy bite to it. Our... more
This spot offers vegetarian and vegan options in a relaxed atmosphere. It has a large wine menu, and is decently priced.
For more intimate dining for a small group, consider reserving Brewbaker's Cafe located at street level. It's a great room for private dining with a group of 6-12 friends. In warmer weather, whether rain or shine or evening, be sure to experience the patio at roof top. Brewbaker's offers a great atmosphere for your dining experience. The food is great,... more
Good night out with friends. Wonderful variety of meals does it get any better. I ordered a steak and when asked how I wanted it I asked for tartar. The waitress had a blank look so I suggested that medium rare would be great but ask the chef for tartar. Tartar I got even though it was not found on... more
Great food, create atmosphere, right downtown Fredericton. And, if you are looking for a little romantic interlude, sit down on their mezzanine in a little booth for two.
The place was recommended by my bed and breakfast down the road. The short ribs were excellent, huge Caesar salad which was very good, the seafood chowder was ok bit a little heavy. The seri ex was excellent .(Sienna and Heather did a nice job). The cheesecake was made well but a little to sweet for my taste..overall nice meal... more
Went with a group of ten while on a business trip. A very nice atmosphere with exceptional service given we had a large group all wanting individual bills. The menu offered a great selection of dishes with a twist on the usual fare (pistachio cream brûlée -yum) but something to suit all tastes. Everybody was raving about their choices. I... more
Full marks all around for a lovely evening meal on a cold winter night. From our arrival to our departure, we had no complaints. The menu has options for every taste and is clearly marked for gluten. Most entrees could be done gluten-free. Service was warm, efficient and well-paced. Atmosphere is cozy. Top-notch restaurant which we recommend without hesitation.
Everything I want in a restaurant, Brewbakers has it! I've lived in fredericton for 10 years and Brewbakers has never disappointed. I love the menu. The spinach salad and maple curry chicken are two of my favorite. The wine selection is fabulous. I came here as part of my stagette a few years back and had to wait extra long... more
Love this place, great food and great ambiance, a step up from your typical pub places but not too fancy either, casual dining atmosphere, bistro like. Food is great, service is too! Love the maple curry chicken penne and maple salmon signature dishes, always want to go back for more!! Great place for a business lunch, a romantic dinner, or... more
2 adults, 2 teens all were very impressed with the food. I had the pan fried haddock, my usual restaurant choice and the others all had the tenderloin steak. My daughter kept telling me how good it was! Nice attention to detail. The mixed vegetables were awesome! We did not get appetizers or dessert but they brought us Ovation chocolate... more
The only thing i can say about Brewbakers is "Love it", if you havent been here add it to your places to try. I always say i'm going to try something different but keep getting the Maple Curry Chicken. The last time we went on of the girls order an app that had Bacon Jam, yep that's right Bacon Jam-... more
Atmosphere and food was great.
Lunch was a few dollars more than other restaurants in the area.
Great caesar salad!! And they have a great selection of wines!!
Our first time to this restaurant although we've lived in the Fredericton area around 6 years. My wife and I had an unscheduled 3 hours away from the kids. It's been awhile since both were occupied elsewhere at the same time and it just happened to be supper time. So we decided to go out for supper. This place wasn't... more
Took my girlfriend to Brewbakers for our anniversary and was glad I did so. The food was amazing! I had the Braised Beef rib and it was stellar. My girlfriend had bacon wrapped sirloin and really enjoyed it as well. Brewbakers has a great atmosphere featuring an open kitchen where you can easily see the chefs cooking your meal, which... more
Started with a bottle of wine with family and Calamari for appetizer. The calamari was the best I have ever tasted. The atmosphere is great and ideal for good conversation over wine. Too much to mention was a superb night and I will definitely go there again.
Visited most recently between Christmas and New Year with friends from out of town. Sat in the bar area, which is a bit darker and warmer than the rest of the dining space.
We had a variety of appetizers to share and everyone was pleased. Moroccan meatballs were especially tasty. Bacon jam a hit, though it didn't come with nearly...

Great atmosphere and service. we didnt have a reservation, my error, as a result we sat near the back windows. It was quite cold.
The food was excellent. Had the Salmon
Have eaten here several times and have always be pleased
Family had left after the Summer and we wanted a nice lunch to finish off the season.
We were not disappointed. We sat on the balcony and had a great lunch with great service.
We were upstairs and the atmosphere was great. The service was very friendly but it took quite some time to take our order but in fairness the week before Christmas is a busy week.
The menu was good but I couldn't finish the salad I had as an appetizer as it had so much dressing and the dressing was very...

BrewBakers was booked up for Valentines Day so we had to go on a different day. Although disappointing, I should not have left to the week before the day.
The food was a bit pricy, but well worth it. I had the beef tenderloin and was the best I have ever had. Careful for the little extras, I think the...

We went to Brewbakers on Friday evening after not having been to this restaurant in a long time. The service was wonderful but the menu lacked variety. Not to go into great detail but the food was not that great. It wasn't horrible by any means, but it wasn't overly flavorful, plentiful, or unique. Considering the prices I guess I... more
We were in Fredericton for a family event, and were taken to BrewBakers last Monday night. We had no idea what it was and were so pleasantly surprised. the entry has a gorgeous old leaded glass window at the top of the stairs and the entire venue is just plain cozy. Appies served quickly were so yummy and followed by... more
This was my second visit to BrewBakers and, once again, it was absolutely excellent. The service was great and the food was extremely good. Seating is comfortable, lighting is at a perfect level and noise doesn't travel throughout the whole restaurant. The restaurant, including the washroom, was clean and spotless. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Fredericton.
We had a delicious lunch there, our waiter was very kind and attentive, and we liked the atmosphere very much. We felt very welcome. Therefore, we came again for supper and it was the same good experience. This time we were attended by another very friendly waiter and his service was excellent. Definitely a good place to enjoy good meals!
Dined there September 13 and we both had the Ribeye. The meal was delicious; especially the vegetables. We explained to our server that we were in a rush and she accommodated us in every way. We will definitely return.
In this charming restaurant we were attended to by very friendly personnel and enjoyed from a good variety of food a delicious meal for a reasonable price. After being on the road for some hours this has also been a good place to relax.
We enjoyed an evening meal at BrewBakers in August. Recommended by our B&B hosts, we really liked the pub decor and upscale menu. Food was very good and service was excellent. Good steaks. I would recommend this restaurant if you don't mind paying a little more for a nice meal or a special occasion.
It was quite late when we arrived at Fredericton and went to the Brewbakers with the advice of our hotel manager, so didn't expect much. To our surprise the atmosphere was charming, the food was delicious, the service was very professional and the price really reasonable. What else one can ask for?
We were only in Fredericton one night ...stopped in for a night cap. Looked like a very nice restaurant...we just sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly!
Try and grab a table outside if you can. The view isn't that fantastic, but the atmosphere is nice. Friendly staff, good service and great food.
While staying in Fredericton for the night, my husband and I found this restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal (steak and lamb special) out on their deck. Our server, Scott, was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our wine and meal.
Had a one night stop over in Fredericton and we were very glad we chose this restaurant. Overall it was clear they have an experienced chef on staff and the service we got was brilliant (attentive, intelligent and casual). Food wise we had the Ribeye steak and bacon wrapped sirloin, both were very tasty, pleasantly surprised with the roast potatoes and... more
Food portions are ludicrously small for the price and that's if you are even admitted entry to this elitist establishment.
Had been turned several times by staff for constantly changing rules on dress, (no jeans?). Another occassion we were told the place was full when there were clearly dozens of empty tables.
Once my wife who is 30 was not...

Brewbaker's has always been the most comfortable, calming place for a night out in Fredericton, with a cosy, casual-upscale feel inside, and a much-welcomed patio on the 3rd level for summer sunsets, drinks, and appetizers. Even indoors you can choose between a table or spending quality time at the comfortable bar.
The offerings continue to improve. Never too large a menu, so you're advised to...

Went here last Friday with my wife. Service was spot on - we were greeted and seated quickly and our server was cheerful and attentive. The atmosphere is wonderful and we love the open kitchen.

The food is exceptional for the price. The atmosphere is comfortable and open. The staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Brewbakers for an evening out.
It as always been a fairly decent, steak, seafood, italian, fusion style of restaurant. MOst people dress up accordingly. THey have gone through a number of managers and chefs. THey have an extensive wine selection and had, at one time anyway, an onduty sommelier to handle the more discriminating oenophiles. I have had italian fare as well as steak. other meals I've had include the blackened... more
You've passed by often, heard good and bad, and even stopped to check out the menu a couple times.
Brewbaker's is a great place to spend a night among friends. Perfect for that night you want to feel luxurious, perhaps slip into that new dress, polish off those John Varvatos and prepare yourself for the wine list which is a mile long.

Perfect place for a nice evening out with good friends. The food was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We shared appetizers of the mushroom tapas (mix mushroom on puff pastry - great flavours), and mussels. Perhaps overall the best restaurant in Fredericton( My wife and I have eaten at a great number of outstanding fine dining establishments around the world). Brewbackers is certainly not
Inconsistent great green curry chicken, but terrible thin steaks charred beyond recognition sometimes great service, other times pretty bad, even snobby. BB needs to make a decision as to whether it's going Italian or fusion, and whether it really wants to aspire to excellence. If so, they need to start by revamping the menu and emphasizing hospitality and high standards.
I have loved Brewbakers for over 10 years and have eaten there more times then I can count and every time have had an excellent meal. Wonderful staff, wonderful wine and food, wonderful atmosphere! try the maple curry chicken!
One of the best restaurants in Fredericton. Their mussels are the best I've had in Atlantic Canada and the steaks are fantastic. I make it a point to come to Brewbakers every time I come to Freddy. Wine list is great and service is top notch.
Simple but tasteful, an experience i would do again! Even though the place is not in the best of area or building in town, i recommend to use the back door, as the smoke smell surpassess all experiences! The platters were decent in size and servig staff was very pleasant.
great meal!
My opinion overall is that Brewbakers is a good place to experience higher quality dishes, although not always the same results, it depends who is doing the cooking. The atmosphere is pleasant and staff is friendly!
Good
Service and food a 10. Prices too high for the size of servings. The upper floor is not a place for a romantic evening.
We had excellent Tenderloins, we liked the fresh baguette. The service was friendly and very professional service, very good dining in a lovely athmosphere. BrewBaker's is a Chinese restaurant where most Menuism users came for a romantic date, paid more than $50, and tipped between 15% to 18%.
