I have never been a great chain restaurant aficionado. However, this time we made an exception.
We were visiting the Gravenhurst Farmers Market (reviewed by me separately) and decided to find a pretty place for lunch. We strolled along the Muskoka Lake wharf and saw that Boston Pizza has a second floor patio on the waterfront, which was what lured...

Went for a relaxing lunch. Sat on the top deck - full sun which was perfect for us.. (if you are looking for a covered patio - they have that on the first level) great watching the boats come in and out. That part is perfect. Service was very slow and inaccurate. Food was Boston Pizza "regular". Was good but... more
Stopped for a quick lunch by Lake Muskoka. A perfect setting.
We thought we'd just share an appetizer and selected bacon wrapped beef skewers. If we had stopped there we would have been very satisfied with the quality. But we decided to share a pulled pork penne, which was very very sweet. Disappointing really.
Our server was pleasant but overworked....

Stopped in for lunch on our way home from a cottage. We have never been to this location before. We enjoyed baked wings and pizza from the Gluten Wise menu on the beautiful dockside patio. The Server was knowledgeable and very pleasant. Food was good. It was a great end to our cottage vacation. We will definitely return.
We went to Boston Pizza last Friday. The place was not too busy despite some events being held in the area.
The food was just what we had ordered and the waiter Jason was unbelievable. He always appeared at the right moment but was not hovering over us.
Had a super time and then went off to some theatre.
Just because there is a special event on the water is no reason to be rude. Hostest server and bartender, all rude based on the ski show... Unwilling to service us food as we waited at the bar, drinks and bill came at the same time, with each drink. No thank you, no eye contact, nothing. Just walking by and... more
Nice location by the harbor, when you drive into town you go through to the old post office and turn left there, it is nice inside and the service was good, not the biggest fan of BP pizza in general but like the atmosphere and service.
What is there to say about B.P. Good grub, good service and lots of soccer!!!!Amazing location. Suggest that if weather permits reserve a seat on the patio. Great views and Wed. night usually is a water-ski show.
Good bear, sport bar, food and view of the lake!. Solo or with your family... It is always the open one in low season... more
which we were told was unavailable. we watched two empty tables all through are dinner. the service was good, the gluten free pasta better than average
We ate here once and tried to (but were not seated despite many open tables) on a different occasion. The pizza and pasta were quite good, especially considering this is a chain (franchise?) restaurant. Salads were passable. Large portions. Nice location with outdoor seating on the lake. Servers could have been better trained and more customer oriented. Hostesses ranged between... more
Not sure why they call it Boston Pizza, doesn't seem to be much Boston about the place. It is located on the water front among several other shops and the Muskoka Boat Museum. While we didn't visit the museum, it is home to several 1920's vintage wooden boats, and a number were in evidence during our visit as the following... more
Stopped in for dinner and the game. The food wasn't as good as I had at another Boston Pizza. Would stay away from the Asian noodle stir fry thing. Just floating in sauce from the jar, wasn't crazy about it. Beer and wings are good though.
My family ate here last summer. We have been coming to Gravenhurst/Bracebridge for the past 40 years and have ate at this restaurant ever since it opened. Awesome food and awesome service!!!!. And the view is to die for.... No complaints. We especially enjoyed coming here last year and having the pleasure of seeing Jim Treliving (from Dragons Den) eating... more
1st time I went....Food wasn't very good. 2nd time I went.....we waited 40 minutes for our food. Paid the bill for tea, and left. 3rd time I went was my birthday/father's day......All of the orders for the four of us were messed up. That was 2 years ago. Have never returned and won't.
It is very unfortunate that such a mediocre chain food place has the best location in town . Have attempted to dine here on 3 occasions and generally been disappointed on each of them. Over priced prepack food. Wait staff that is hit or miss but it is the utter mind numbing length of time it takes to deliver the... more
if you like prepackaged frozen reheat in the microwave food, then by all means,, enjoy, but why would you want to pay premium price if you can get the same thing at the grocery store and heat it yourself. On the other hand, I have never had their pizza, so maybe there is some saving grace.
Our waiter Robert was quick and refilled our glasses with the diet Pepsi we ordered without us having to ask. The food we ordered was above average. We ordered nachos and potatoe skins. Worth a visit from the snomobile trail, lake Muskoka, or hiway 169.
We just had the most disappointing meal at Gravenhurst Boston Pizza.
The staff was polite and courteous but as we waited between the salad course and the main, I began to wonder why it was taking so long. The restaurant had very few patrons, but it was a Tuesday night so we didn't think there would be any reason for...

We ate here on a recent week-end get-away to Gravenhurst. I had fettuccini jambalya and my wife had a grilled chicken salad. Both dishes were very tasty, well presented and spiced to our liking. The atmosphere is typical Boston Pizza...casual and loud, but we knew it wasn't going to be a romantic dinner. All in all, it was what we... more
Arrived with a party of 12, seated immediately and service was prompt, outside it was -18C so some of the party suffered with a draft every time the door was opened but this won't trouble you most of the year. A very good location on the waters edge.
Visited Boston pizza over the holidays. The vista of lake Muskoka is awesome. Tried the pizza cheese burger and it was surprisingly good.
I would recommend a visit during the one hockey tournament the end of Jan.
The meal was good and the waiter was able to keep up to our table and our 45 guests in a timely fasion. Unfortunately we had to wait over 30 mins from the time we ask for our bills till we got them as the computer would not work for staff. Not their fault, but we had been ready to leave... more
I would like to start by saying that I am normally not a person to complain or create a fuss. I try to avoid doing so, but in this case I feel compelled to relate my experience. Ate here on Nov. 13, 2013 in the early evening with my girlfriend. The only positive experience was Meghan, our waitress. She was... more
Not many food offerings in this town. Location is nice, but food and service are only average, even compared to various visits to other locations of this chain throughout Canada
We love Boston Pizza's Rustic Tuscan pizza, and this one was no different. In addition to good food, the location on the bay is great and the October night we went, the weather was wonderful. Since we don't live too far away, we have the luxury of going in the off-season, so we don't have to put up noise from... more
We are regulars at Boston Pizza especially when we travel. I had the chicken parm and my husband had the spaghetti and meatballs. They were super tasty. Our server was efficient and attentive when needed. Restaurant amenities were clean. The atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried. Would return to this location without hesitation.
We were very pleased by the service on the long weekend in August. We picked a table outside by the water and it was absolutely rewarding - with a light breeze around 7 p.m. They offer blankets if it gets cold, but we did not need any. Food was served fast - we ordered a wide selection, given the number... more
Service was good but main course arrived prior to appetizer. Portions were large and the food was hot. Not sure if I would go back.
I gave Boston Pizza another chance after a disapointing visit at another location earlier in the year.
I went to the Gravenhurst location with my family recently and there is no doubt the location is superb. Even our waitress was excellent to but that did not take away from the fact that our food was awful.
I ordered a Chicken...

After a nice round of golf nearby, it was a great way to end the day...sitting in the late afternoon sunshine on the deck overlooking the lake. The view was terrific and the atmosphere on the deck was very nice. Inside it seemed as if everyone was also having a good time.
The service was friendly enough and the beer...

We were staying in the area and it was pretty much one of the few restaurants in the area that had great views & was kid friendly. We sat over looking Lake Muskoka which was beautiful but the food & service was not up to par. I had a salad (very little dressing - it was a very basic salad... more
Love this location. Always sports playing on the screens in the bar. Tables on the deck are really close together so you can hear other conversations when it's busy. Food is average, but price is right.
Unfortunately, when I go into a restaurant I'm hungry & do not like to wait forever for the food. I 'm usually in a hurry too. This restaurant gets the food to you in a timely manner " & " the food is very good. The staff is courtious & pleasant.
I've eaten in a few Boston Pizza establishments & this...

There's no question that food-wise, this is pretty predictable. (I always think of BP as the Swiss Chalet of pizza = family oriented, safe, not too pricey) I had the meatball sandwiches and my wife had one of the pasta dishes. Both filling and portion size matched the price. Our waiter was quick, pleasant and helpful.
What you want to...

This is a Boston Pizza located right on the waterfront of Lake Muskoka in Gravenhurst, Ontario. During the summer you can eat overlooking the docks and water from the ground floor, and 2nd floor. There is boat dockiing from Lake Muskoka, and Snowmobile access during the winter.
We did not sample a lot of the extensive menu as we just ordered a pizza and split it. the service was good and the foor was good. I have tried a lot of different Pizzas around the US and the world and would rate this as just OK.
Just left after very poor service. Waitress became very non caring as soon as we asked for water
to start. My partners steak was cooked with no seasoning added. Waitress asked how we were getting along as she walked past the table without stopping to hear our response. I have been at this establishment several times in the past, with...

I visited this restaurant later at night. I have visited once before and got average service but I remember not being helped very quickly and the server not coming back to check on me when I needed another drink (maybe you have to buy alcohol to get service?)
This time I ordered a Mediterranean salad and cheese toast. The lettuce...

The service here has improved since it opened - but the food has not. We had different pasta and salad dishes, and both experienced them as 'ho hum'. Our server was super attentive and professional; but the quality and taste of the food would discourage us from coming back. Boston Pizza is a popular spot in Gravenhurst with families and... more
We loved sitting on the patio and eating our delicious meal on our final night in Gravenhurst. Even though they were very busy, they made sure they checked up on us with coffee from time to time while we waited. The food was worth the wait.
There is nothing special about the food at any of the Boston Pizza restaurants. In fact, I think their menu and food used to be better. This particular location however, offers something that no other BP does.
Many I've been to offer outdoor dining overlooking a parking lot, the Gravenhurst Boston Pizza's patio places you on the shore of Lake...

This place always seems busy, especially on weekend. We were seated in the bar area next to a window overlooking the bay, which was really scenic. ...fortunately it turned out fine..
I, and other delegates at a conference in Gravenhurst ate here one night. It was the only place open on the waterfront, but I enjoyed the food (calamari, jalapeno burger). Not at all bad for what is evidently a big franchise.
It is close to home but very noisy. Food is ok but on the bland side. Service was good and manager listened to my comments and reduced price.
Visited Boston Pizza last week for the first time in a while. The atmosphere in the bar area was fun and the service was generally ok for this type of restaurant but the menu had changed. We ordered some salads and wings. The wings take the honor of being the worst that I have ever had. Unless you want pizza... more
The pizza we got was ovebaked and way too bready. Overpriced as well.
Can't recommend this place for anything other than the view on the dock.
55 bucks for 2 individual and one small delivered????? Driver was late and showed up in the dead of winter with pizza in a plastic bag....late
Recently stopped at this restaurant mainly because of it's location. Got a great booth with water view and ordered lunch. Children's meals were fresh, hot and included drink and dessert. Our adult pizzas were delicious. Crust just right! Service prompt and friendly. Would stop again.
