This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I booked the trip thru Expedia on my canada post visa. When i got to the hotel the hotel manager almost didn't give me the room even though it had been paid for, simply because my visa was a reload able pre paid card. He treated me like I was the scum of the earth. I showed him the paperwork and said if he refused to give me the room then i wanted... more
Thsi place is great. We stayed there for four days and it cost less than $400.00 CDN. It is walking distance to every downtown attraction, close to skytrain and the parking is FREE!! What more could you ask for? Friendly staff I guess....which they are and comfy bed! Some people like the more expensive hotels...but this one suites me just fine.....I'd rather spend my money on other things... more
Bosmans Hotel is a great compromise between fancy hotels and hostels. The rooms are cheap, for hotel pricing. Not only are they cheap, but they are clean, comfortable, and within seconds of Granville's nightlife. Just a few blocks away is the shopping district on Robson.
The 100 rooms are equipped with heat/air conditioning, cable tv, hairdryers, and clock radios.

I chose the hotel because it was located downtown, within walking distance of some big attractions, and offered free parking. But these conveniences did NOT make up for the absolutely awful service and poor room conditions. The front desk clerks were rude and aloof. The floorlamp wouldn't turn on (the bulb was covered in melted plastic.) The table in our room was broken; it rocked back and... more
Ah the Bosman. I have stayed here 4 or 5 times and each time i do i think, i really need to find a better place to stay.
The Bosman gets one star for being a such a great central location. The parking is free and easily accessible. That is worth a second star.
The price, although a less then other hotels in the area, is far overpriced for what you're getting. $80 for a dirty hotel room.

Absolutely not!! Don't stay at BOSMANS's hotel. when i got to this hotel, i showed the prepaid bill printed on the internet because the bill said i should presented the bill to the clerk, but the clerk ignored and very rude. He never looked at the bill, even though i tried to show it to him. another problem i had is like this: i stayed room #409, but a guy staying at 410 turned on music very... more
This is a perfectly suitable hotel, right near Davie Street, Yaletown, and other parts of Granville Island, making it a good choice for those for whom location is the primary draw. There is nothing particularly fancy about the hotel -- "serviceable" is a good word -- although it's nice that they have an on-site restaurant for breakfast and now have free wireless for hotel guests. I will... more
This hotel is centrally located and that is the only plus. The bath tub backed up with water during showers. The grout in the bathroom was moldy. Enough towels were not provided for three guests so I reported this to the front desk. I was told to come down to the front desk to pick up the towels!
“Our room was dirty, no hair dryer, lamp didn't work, literally thread-bare sheets, gross carpet, awful! Luckily we only stayed one short night (we needed an inexpensive hotel for an early morning train to whistler.) We would have been better off sleeping on a park bench!”
I really like your hotel rooms. I was searching the web one day with a shocking surprise, An acuintance of mine told me about the rooms. I have been there twice. Last time was the 4th of July.
“Disgusting and not worth the price. Filthy chairs in lobby and hallways. Filthy carpeting. Filthy and smelly elevator. My room appeared clean. Bathroom was clean. Sheets seemed clean. Air Conditioning was working but not cooling the room. Great location.”
“Good hotel for the price paid. Great location to downtown Vancouver.”
“If location is key, The Bosmans Hotel is a decent choice. The hotel is just a few blocks from the Civic Center, Robson Street, and the West End. But the hotel itself gives you the bare essentials. The rooms are clean and well-kept, and the free parking is great, but in a city known for it's beautiful buildings and pretty places, The Bosmans Hotel down-market looks and cheap amenities... more
This hotel is a total ripped off!!! Customer service is lousy ! They don't care about you , they just want your money. My family and I went on a one week trip to Vancouver and Victoria via Seattle .I have always booked lodging online but this is the only hotel I booked that charges more than what i was quoted for. So better read the hotel's fine print. I thought I was getting a good deal by... more
