Stopped in today for a coffee. Nice place and the breakfast that was going out to other visitors looked good, will like try it some time. You can buy used books and records in the shop.
pesto and cheese and bacon - mmmmmmmmmmmm - great value for money. we missed breaky and needed something to eat and this was perfect!
Food was fresh and tasty. Lettuce crisp, fresh pineapple on salad was unexpected. Excellent bread on sandwich. Owner was active and involved. Would return next time in town. Not high end, just a comfortable spot, casual and terrific value.
It's a comfy small business cafe with nice seating with wide lake view windows. They have hand-chosen books they offer for sale, beautiful, and more importantly, delicious, beans for sale, and a huge selection of beverages. Free wifi is pretty good, and you can always see Rob somewhere near if you have a question. If you have kids (or a... more
Visiting Kincardine and met up with friends for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We got our table and waited about 10 minutes just for coffee, which we had to carry to the front to get out cream/milk. Placed order, waited over 30 minutes for food to arrive. I ordered French toast. On my plate was two small pieces of French... more
Great Coffee,Great Menu and Great service.Food was well presented to our table.Love the atmosphere too
This is where the locals go for a visit and good coffee. Pull up a chair and stay as long as you like. Good breakfast and lunch, friendly staff an fresh food. Great view of the harbour from the back of the restaurant. Fun in summer and winter. Did I mention the cappuccino? My favourite.
I really enjoy Beans Bistro for its cappuccinos. In my opinion it is the best in town. The food is decent, made to order and the atmosphere is nice; except I have found the owner to be a bit crabby to his customers from time to time.
And friendly. I really liked the atmosphere of this bistro restaurant. There is a wide variety of seating choices, from traditional table and chairs to comfy sofas with pillows. Decor is an assortment of antique furniture such as an old sewing machine and an upright piano which diners are invited to play. This is a great choice for a quick... more
We were in Kincardine for 4 days and went here everyday for our morning coffee/tea and had lunch once. They offer orgnanic items and alternative dairy-free products (lactose and almond milk!). The cafe was cozy and has character, and staff were friendly! Would return again!
Visited this place after reading some of the reviews and was happy we did! Great coffee! Great food (sandwiches and salads). Very friendly, clean and cozy atmosphere. Too bad they only open 'till 4 PM.
Have stopped in for an espresso many times. Cute spot. I was unaware they served food. I will have to give it a try next time I am up. I will be back for sure.
The best coffee anywhere and great food as well. Very friendly staff and a warm comfortable environment to meet friends.
really nice change for breakfast
home made and fresh and hot
small so service could be slow but great coffee and some seats look out at the lake
I love this locally owned & operated bistro. The couple who own it are hard-working. They offer real lattes as opposed to the watered down c@!p that Tim Horton's or Coffee Culture offers. Love their hot chocolate. The food is awesome as well.
Went for breakfast on the Sunday of the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Breakfast is only served until 11:00am and we got there about 11:10 do we missed it but stayed for lunch instead. We all ordered sandwiches which were delicious. My son had his choice of three different home baked breads. My husband and I each had panini style sandwiches along... more
Good coffee. Nice seat by the window. Food is average, nothing special..could be more out of the box. Poetry on sign is awesome..love it.
has internet and coffee is good
pastries were very dry/old
There's not so many books anymore at Books & Beans but it is a friendly, little spot for lunch in downtown Kincardine. At one time the decor was a little more quirky than it is now but the food remains great. You order at a counter and find a seat. There's a few spots to sit at the back where... more
