Second time I've tried a fruit crostata from this bakery. If you enjoy only crust (top & bottom) with barely 1/3 cup of fruit filling then this it the one to buy. If, however your like myself, don't try it. I'm beyond ticked.
WORST SERVICE EVER! I called a day early and ordered 3 dozen cookies to be put aside for me for Christmas presents for my family. I was told I could pick them up any time the next day. When I arrived at the bakery, they had no cookies left and were not apologetic at all! They told me that if there was none left, I could just choose different cookies - that was NOT the point! I specifically... more
Purchased a cake and customer service was POOR :( She didn't finish my transaction and was helping the next customer. Tried to mention to owner but he refused to deal with it!
Esthetically speaking the pastries are hit and miss, however, if you need something that hits the spot with no fuss at a reasonable cost with good customer service = this is the place.
What happened Bon Bon? The St. Honore cake used to be so good. The cake pastry is now flat and stale and the cake cream tastes like lard. Such a shame.
Our family has had their St. Honoré cake for every birthday I can remember (with a few exceptions.) Mostly for the Boston Cream, and nostalgia, but it rarely disappoints. I say rarely as it's changed a bit over the years, definitely gotten more expensive, and is sometimes inconsistent. But it's still probably one of the best bang for buck birthday cakes you can find, certainly unique, and... more
Ordered Tiramisu cake, was very disappointed, not good when you are looking for quality and good taste and this cake had neither.
I have been going to the Bon Bon for years and have been pretty happy with the cakes and tbhe prices are good. The Italian lady that usually helps me is very nice but lately they have a filipino women helping at the front counter she is very rude and has no people skills. I don't know if I will go back.
25 person St Honoré birthday cake. $40
That's what I got. The size of the cake was more like it was for 40 people. It was massive for what it was. Bang for the buck was definitely there.
Tasted exactly as I remembered it. Lots of those deadly puff pastry balls, whipped cream, Bavarian cream, and chocolate dipped éclairs. O-I-N-K!!
The sponge in this cake is not the best sponge I've had -...

I remember my first taste of a Bon Bon Bakery cake when I was about 10 years old. My eyes lit up when I tried one of the puff pastry filled with cream on the St. Honore cake. I remember having the St. Honore cake every year for the next 5 years or so.
After a while, our family moved on to different bakeries and styles, but just a week ago my mom decided to take a trip down memory lane. Since...

Bang for buck..One of the best Cakes you can buy!
We always order the standard Bon Bon cake! It is so good! The crispy wafers are encompassed with light butter cream. The circumference log is filled with cream custard..Such a good mix, not too sweet. Just right!
The bon bons on top of the cake are chocolate covered and filled with custard.
A great buy. Bought a cake for 40 people for $42...

Officially the purveyors of my favourite new thing to eat: Raisin Squares. I wish I'd ordered more than just a half dozen, but on the plus side I can do with the extra exercise a separate trip requires so as to make up for devouring these things.
Cake, cookies, biscotti, tarts: YES PLEASE!!!!!! oh I think I'm going slightly mad!!! The smells in here are crazy.
Bread: Delicious. Try the rye!

when i first move to this neighborhood i thought the whole strip was chinese produce stores and chinese bakeries(both which i love and use often). one day though i was walking along and noticed through the window one of those cakes made entirely of those little cream-puff balls (i know it has a real name). i went in and omg!!!! i came out with a whole bix of assorted stuff. the biscotti was... more
A place were my family loves to buy their birthday cakes from. The cakes are really good, especially with the cream puffs around the edge of the cake. Their other bakery items are really sweet and satisfying. It's definitely a place that you could mistake for one of the many Asian stores on Victoria Drive.
If you’re the kind of person who can’t decide what kind of cake they want, this is probably the cake for you. It’s... more

A little bakery that sells male/female anatomy cakes..
yep. I said it and yep, I ordered one for the first time for a dirty thirty birthday.
If ordering a male anatomy cake, here are some questions you will ber asked:
1. How big do you want it? (she means: how many servings do you need) - AND I think the smallest they make the entire cake is 20 servings.
2. Squirty or non-squirty? (please...
