Not like it used to be
August 14, 2014We, too, were disapointed when we visited Bob's Place this year. We boated here via the Grand River 2 yrs ago. Bob's Place was not as clean and the food wasn't as good. The one waitress we had didn't seem to want to be there that night. Has it changed owners?

Disappointing
July 24, 2014My husband and I visited Bob's Place yesterday for dinner. We usually go on the weekends and have always had great food and service. Yesterday our waitress was very unpleasant. Nice little family restaurant
June 16, 2014My husband loves the perch here - he usually orders by the pound. I had the salmon today, it was ok...just a little dry. I would hope that they serve fresh cut fries and not frozen. They have wifi for guest but when I asked for password, the waitress said she doesn't know..so the guest wifi is redundant :(

June 07, 2014We were passing through Dunnville (for a Girl Guide camp nearby). We searched TripAdvisor for a good restaurant to stop for lunch. The raving reviews helped us to choose Bob's. The sandwiches were delicious and the prices were reasonable!

Good home-style cooking
May 22, 2014Great value can be found at this nice little diner. Not fancy but the wait staff is friendly, the food good, and the portions ample. Burgers, fish & chips, sandwiches, soups, and many hot entrees.

Good old fashioned greasy spoon
March 10, 2014I'm always on the lookout for a good old fashioned 'greasy spoon'. Bob's is just that and the food was just as I would expect from a restaurant like that. The prices were reasonable. The picture is not correct.

A great homemade experience
February 28, 2014We took my mom out for dinner there. She had the prime rib special and could not finish all the food. Neither could anyone else. Friendly staff. Comfortable for anyone. You have to get there before six pm for dinner or there will be a line up. Melas were all delicious and you could tell they were homemade by people... more

Bob's Place
January 11, 2014Nothing fancy, reminds myself of Hagersville restaurant. Chicken Clubhouse with fries, Chicken finger and fries (x2) was $35 plus $8 tip. Staff was friendly and prompt. I would recommend it.

Good time
August 05, 2013Bob's Place is always a nice place to dine. The service is always great, very friendly. The portions are large, although the menu could use a little change, the food is delish. The atmosphere is comfy and casual. Chicken Parmesan is perfect!

Perfect service and the food was good too
August 04, 2013I had the homemade made soup- excellent, followed by a small Greek salad. The salad was good, fairly large but watch out for the pits in the Kalamata olives. My husband had the fresh perch with onion rings instead of fries. Both were very good.

Good Food
July 06, 2013Bob's Place was recommended to us by a friend. The best soup I have tasted in a long time. Very nice. We had lunch there. A nice vegetable beef soup made that morning and corned beef on rye, with a pickle. Very Good. It was better than stopping at Subway which was our first thought while on TOUR !

Good old fashioned food
January 21, 2013Really enjoy the food, large portions and freshly made. Too bad the menu doesn't change, as you get tired of the same old thing when you are a frequent flyer. Missing a server who passed away, she made the place so welcoming and had worked there forever. She is missed!

Just what we wanted

We have spent the past six summers at our trailer near Dunnville and never knew of this restaurant.
As we were closing up for the season and didnt' want to cook, we asked a cashier at Giant Tiger where she would recommend for us to eat. She didn't hesitate to recommend Bob's Place. We're so glad she did.
