Delicious and inexpensive

I love the fish and chips,the arcade, and the quirky decorations. The staff is friendly, the food is yummy and it is very inexpensive.

I stopped in today for a quick lunch before heading to work.
The price is right, the staff was great.. it's just the food.. was bland.
I had the chicken fingers and poutine.
The gravy had no taste whatsoever and it just made the fries taste like mush.

Greasy Spoon

If your looking to die from a heart attack, I recommend this greasy spoon. They use 100% Lard/and or Shortening in their fryers and if your not use to the grease, you will with every bite. Mind you, prices are good but health wise, no.

Cheap prices, great staff, great 'grandfather restaurant' atmosphere

Amazing staff, cheap pricing, has a nice 'grandfather' restaurant atmosphere with stuffed ducks on the walls and national geographic that no one reads. It's a saint John landmark and for good reason.

Nickname Greasy Bobs for a reason

Don't expect fine dining here. Great greasy atmoshere. Everything is cheap from the picnic table style diningroom to the food. They don't put any effort into making the place look pretty and all their effort into making simple greasy food that rivals what dad would do on the bbq.
And it's all part of the great atmosphere.

Groting... but we still eat here

This place is called 'Greasy Bob's" there's a reason.
Recommend chicken fingers and poutine. Mediocre but you get a lot for what you pay. Guilty, discusting, greasy pleasure and we eat here about once a year.

Great Burger

I was visiting St. John from South Carolina and Bob's was recommended by locals as the best place to get a burger. The burger was just like you would make at home and I plan to visit Bob's everytime I am in town.

Greasy spoon extra-ordinaire

If you love grease, this is a can't miss spot in Saint John. Try not to let the atmosphere turn you away, it's not exactly the nicest looking spot around. Prices are the best in town and they've got possibly the best under $10 ham/cheeseburger I've ever tasted.

Need to Get your Grease on

Local favotrite greasy spoon. Don't let the place through you for looks. Get in line and order your greasy cravings and you will not be disappointed. If you miss the guiltless greasy 70's burger and prices to match here is the place. Quicl-friendly-greasy and great for hangovers. I do suggest take out because the innards aint to great.

Went for the big clams, I hear about

They were unnaturally big. I can just imagine what the inject them with to make clams that big. They were so greasy and other then the grease were tasteless. I have clams at many places and they maybe smaller but the taste like clam not batter.

If you're looking for that greasy goodness you can only get from fried food, this is the place to hit! By far the best clams & chips in town (better than places in St. Martin's or towards St. Stephen), fish n' chips and menu items like steak & fries. The 'rolled fish' is a must try!
