The Boardwalk would be a great place if only it wasn't ruined by the 925 Erb St W, Waterloo landfill. Which is less than 1.5km away. I live in Kitchener and work in Waterloo so I drive by the area daily. It dangerously smells bad to the point where I have to turn off AC or Fan in car while in the area. Not sure why Calvin gave it such a low score. I couldn't smell any landfill, but it's something good to know. I thought this area was directly over the aquifer, so probably not good for the city's water supply. No wonder sometimes the tap water smells and tastes funny.

Gotta love how planners in this region put big box developments right next to a landfill site, eh? Yes, it smells here!
I'm never a fan of big box sites, and this is no exception. The stores are simply not walkable to one another since the area is so big. Besides, does anyone even shop here? I've never seen the parking lot more than 20% full! What a waste of space.
