We were very pleased with this family run hotel. Clean, conveniently located with nice continental breakfast. Our hostess gave us excellent suggestions as to what to see and do in Niagara Falls. This facility is old and could use more electric outlets to allow charging of phones and tablets.
We had a great stay at the Blue Moon. Whether it was Doris' helpful advice, or her patience with us as we extended reservations twice, it was a great stay. The bus to the tourist attractions is right out front; the amenities, incl. the pool. and gas grill are fabulous for when you're tired of playing tourist. Not having to think about breakfast is also a plus!!
Had a great time, owner gave great advice about the area
Very clean, bit of a musty smell but that cleared very soon after getting some air flow through the room. We had a kitchenette - well stocked and clean. Would stay here again, good bang for your buck!
Home away from home - close to conveniences, resturants, sites & entertainment.
Our stay was pleasant. The staff were polite but a little curt when re-lighting the gas heater. Location was convenient to local tourist attractions and stores.
Very nice staff. Safe overall feeling. Very dirty tile floor, and bathroom, very old furniture. Not quite a bargain and far from the falls.
We were in town for a local half-iron triathlon. The room was reasonable for the price, but was dated and characteristic of "Niagara Falls kitsch" including lots of mirrors in the room. The bed was comfortable. The woman at the desk was very thorough explaining things to do and places to go for visitors to the area. Our biggest issue was that the room smelled like smoke and when we commented to... more
Owners are very helpful. For sure value for the money paid.
Pleasing to the eye, with a wonderful and helpful staff. Rooms were clean, a little small but it suited my needs perfectly. Bed was a little to hard for me, but I like soft things lol.
Older 50s motel modernized as much as can be, kept up nicely, clean. Our hostess was friendly. It was a weekend in a tourist town so the rate was higher then I would have liked to see but not outrageous. We didn't use the pool but other guest did, appeared clean and is apparently heated, wife enjoyed the working jucuzzi , wifi works well, we never used the continental breakfast except coffee. I... more
The owner has been very useful to provide a lot of information about niagara falls. The location (main boulevard, wego stop bus, grocery store) and the pool is perfect. You can use the BBQ and the picnic tables available. No fee for the parking and the price is good for the offer. Rooms are small and with tiny bathroom. However, if the objective is to spend more money on activities vs. hotel,... more
We were quite pleased with this motel. The owners were friendly and helpful with directions. The room was small (expected) but clean and tidy. It wasn't fancy but suited our needs perfectly for our 2-night stay.
It was very good. Location is terrific. Madam took lot of care. Hotel provides you lot of information, that really matters.
Great retro hotel. Well maintained and the owners are delightful. The pool was nice and it was great to have several grills to use to cook dinner. Our room was small. With 2 beds and 4 people, there was little room to move around or store stuff. The rooms had queen sized beds rather than full like other places which is great. I would definitely stay here again and recommend for families.
Rooms were small but clean. BBQs and pool allows your own pool party. About 15 minute drive from the main attractions at Niagara Falls. I would come back.
Excellent place to stay! Small, clean, affordable motel. Continental breakfast and pool are a bonus. The sites are not within walking distance but we purchased the WeGo bus pass so we didn't have to drive in the chaos. We will be back!
We did find the bed rather squeaky, but comfortable and no real problem. Being an old property, the room was quite small. But the woman who owns and mainly runs the place was so friendly and helpful. She's a big fan of her area and convinced us to make the effort to do a sunset drive up to Niagara-on-the-Lake which was very much worth it.
We booked almost last minute so larger chains were totally out of our price range. We were taking out of town guests so worried and careful. The reviews we read were good for the most part. They were right. The furnishings might be described as shabby chick. The bathroom was the only thing not too great as shower was tired, but if that was modernized, the place (or at least our room) could move... more
This hotel is very dated! I would guess 40 years since any type of updating (except for the flooring). Location was good, value was OK , being on the WEGO bus route was a bonus. Continental breakfast was very basic. Overall, it was probably average for the older motels of the area.
First, we went to check in and were told our reservation was cancelled. After showing or expedia confirmation and the verification email, miraculously it was a mistake. Hope someone else didn't lose their room. When we entered the room it reeked of BO. It was horrible. The room also was hot because the AC had been turned. Then we noticed the floor had been washed. We realized this because of... more
Hotel is small older property but room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy (WiFi coverage a little spotty) but the price was right especially considering what a tourist trap most of the city is and the prices for most everything else. Can't say enough good things about the management and staff. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. Hotel is right on the bus route to downtown and all... more
The tub was very old had no cold water the bed was ok also older. If your looking for very small and cozy this is the place.
The motel itself is older and furnishings are dated, but the friendly service, clean room, and complimentary breakfast make this an excellent value. It is right on the city bus line, so location is convenient. We would stay here again on our next visit.
This was a great place for being right down the street from the falls. The owners really do want to make sure you have everything you need and are the reason we will visit again.
My stay in Niagara was wonderful and the Blue Moon Motel was a pleasant surprise. I didn't know what to expect, but they were great, the room was great, they went out of their way to help.
Nice place. Staff very accomadating and for the price it was perfect.
We had a great stay at the "Blue Moon Hotel"...if you're looking for cozy comfort (the beds were super) and a staff that attends to any request, this is it! Location is great, and owners Ron and Doris are very accommodating....we really enjoyed ourselves!
We wanted a decent hotel near Canada niagara . This hotel was perfect . The lady who owned the hotel was very kind and friendly . She gave us suggestions to visit places nearby. Good breakfast . In short really nice experience .
We were impressed with the helpfulness of the owner in giving info that made the stay at the Falls so good.
Awesome family run motel. Very friendly good service. Will definitely stay again.
Great stay. Simple, cottage like rooms. Friendly, helpful front desk. Nice outdoor pool area with BBQ facilities. Would book again.
One of the best motel, I have ever been. Clean, friendly and has a reasonable price.
The hotel is in a great location, and the property is well maintained. A pool with a sitting area and lots of nicely tended flowers made the outdoors very pleasant. The room was comfortable, with the exception that the window air conditioner was a bit noisy for sleeping. The manager was very helpful and pointed out places of interest, restaurants, etc. and supplied brochures and maps. A nice... more
We had a quick night over, the room was clean, and simple. We were the staff was great, we look forward to going back. Not far from downtown.
The hotel owner was friendly, helpful and really awesome. It's definately no 5 star hotel, but the jacuzzi suite was inexpensive, fun, and comfortable. would stay there again.
Good hotel. Just close to Wego (red line) bus stop. You can get 24 hr passes for 7$. 20 mins by bus from table rock but since there is bus every 30 mins / 1 hr, planning and transportation is easy. Big freshco store nearby. Good restaurants nearby as well. Room was clean. Phone to US/Canada was unlimited and free. Room had AC/TV, coffee machine and microwave on request. Breakfast was really... more
Comfortable room with wonderful service. Will definitely return!
The staff was very friendly and the location of the motel is very convenience, very close to St. Catharines and the Falls.
Upon hearing the wonderful reviews regarding this motel, my girlfriend and I decided to check it out. We were impressed at the value and convenience of booking this motel during the long weekend. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room and excellent condition of the exterior of the motel which was attractive to the eye. The owner was really nice and very... more
This motel is cute with lots of character. Rooms are small but they're only there for you to sleep in. Had no issues with any of the rooms or staff. Great staff, very friendly. I forgot my two pillows after I checked out, came back the next morning and they had put them aside without me asking them to. As for location, it's too far of a walk to the strip but it's close to lots of retail areas... more
Great location, friendly staff and really close to Niagara's main attractions. We would definitely stay again.
The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We didn't plan to stay in the room much so didn't need it to be top end. Good bed, good shower and super clean.
I booked a romantic valentine's get away for my special lady and me. I decided on this motel based on price and convience and was not disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I called the motel ahead of time to let them know we would be checking a bit late due to running late at work and the travel time. Doris was very understanding and thanked me for my call. This was a cozy, clean, and quiet establishment. I was greeted by a very nice lady upon checking in for my stay (1 night). She was very helpful and eager to please. I was in a bit of a rush so I sort of rushed our transaction but she was very, very nice. The room was clean which appears to be a difficult find in the Lundy's Lane area. I am definitely going to recommend this place to my friends.
Went to Niagara for New Years, but didn't want to pay waaaay too much for a fancy hotel. Blue Moon was perfect, just a few miles away from the falls, with the bus stop right out the front door and it only costing $7 for 24 hours it was a steal! (There are more bus options for 48 hours which include a tour at the falls the host will tell you about which is also a great deal!) The grocery store... more
Very clean and quiet. Best value for money. Grocery store less than 1 min, pizza, breakfast places, gas stations and huge outlets plaza 2-3 min away. Had room w/ kitchen, pans, pots, cutlery, cups ext. Any way over all excellent place for people who doesn't care spent big budget for sleeping and like to spent on attraction. This motel is WAY better than other places in the area for similar prices.

At first I am really worried because I am the one who do the booking also for our friends that they might not like it...at the end, all of us both enjoyed our stay in the motel.. everything we need is there...swimming pool, BBQ and kitchen to cook our own food. Most of all, the staff are friendly and accommodative.

Quick check-in and check-out with no complications. My room was quiet as requested. The continental breakfast was simple but quite adequate. I was informed at check-in that the telephone in my room would be repaired. I never used it but I did check before I left, and it had been repaired. My tourist questions were answered knowledgably.
Good Value, Bus stop right in front of Motel is a plus. Older but clean and well kept.

Doris, the owner is wonderful. She has all the information you need to

The room was not clean, there was sand or grit in the bed as well, I wonder if the sheets had been changed? Poor Wi-Fi.
This was the best place ever that we visited in our three week round trip. The lady was very kind and helpfull and gave us great tips to visit the Niagara Falls. Nice swimming pool and a option to use the BBQ.

The owner is absolutely delightful!!
She takes care of everything you need (we checked-in after 11:30 pm and she waited for us). The property is maintained with a lot of care and pride. Beautiful pool and great outdoor environment to sit and relax. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast in the morning.
