Great location, within walking distance of just about everything. They need to do some updating but it's good value and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They were flexible on check out time and let us leave our car there after we had checked out so we could do a little more site seeing... more
The room was very outdated and the elevator did not work. I would not recommend staying here to anyone really. The location was decent, but we were not able to get any food in the hotel. We tried to bring some problems with the room to the staff's attention but they really seemed uninterested.
I stayed here for valantines weekend and for a first experience hotel it couldn't get any better rooms were clean, we had everything out for us towels, face cloths etc. loved the Jaccuzi tub. Excellent location being just around the corner from Clifton hill. It's a shame I didn't go in the summer time to use there pool but I... more
Even though you cannot beat the price, and we have stayed at the Blackstone many times over the last 15 years, we have now decided we will not go back unless some major renovations get done. The rooms are so outdated now it is a little scary. Furniture is beat up and scratched, carpets and walls are stained and worn.... more
I don't understand the negative blogs for the Blackstone Inn...?? We've been going there since 1997...and truthfully, the min. we saw the hotel..we knew what we were in for... Is it the most glamerous hotel?..no, but clearly you can tell that without even staying there... But the prices are fantastic...the management group is the best...the rooms are clean..and if you're... more

We have stayed at the Blackstone for many years. The location is perfect, right at the top of Clifton hill. Rooms remodeled this year, new tv's. No phone in room but that is what we like, besides we have our cell phones. The owner is down to earth and available if needed. The price for the location is unbeatable. Rooms... more
Great location, 1 block from clifton hill, restaurants and attractions and Casino niagara. Rates are very reasonable. Newly painted, clean rooms and friendly, very helpful staff!!
I really enjoyed staying at the Blackstone...We had alot of people there and they accomodated all of us... ..We had birthdays and a wedding and a marriage vow renewal so lots to party for...and we had before and after drinks on the balcony and the main floor with no complaints, and it is close to all the attractions and has... more
where do i begin. i stayed at the Blackstone inn in Aug. 2009 for 4 nights. our rm was not made up, each day i had to get our own towels and face cloths, found a piece of pot (drugs) under the dresser,no phones in the rooms and the bedding had holes and dusty fur ball blankets. but still i... more
The room was older but fairly clean. We had difficulty accessing internet. Had to have front desk move their base so we could get internet upstairs above them. It bothered me that there was no lock on the inside door - no chain, no bar, nothing. The door locked from the outside but that was all - no double checking... more
I have stayed at the Blackstone 4 times in the past year, It is not the most modern of places but it is clean and tidy, and for the price you pay well worth it, you are minutes walking distance from the falls and resturants. If you are on a buget you may want to check out this place compared to the 159-199$ a night it will cost you at a bigger hotel.
For a getaway weekend with a great location for the budget consious, this one is worth looking for. The rooms were not fancy, but clean. Expect no phones, no coffee makers, or ice in the rooms, BUT you have cable TV and comfortable beds ALL for a great price. Saved on parking because of its close location, and the staff... more
Comfortable motel for those on a budget. Located close to the falls and downtown. Rooms were nothing fancy but clean. People in the room beside us were noisy but we can't fault the Blackstone for that. Pool was unusable in cold months.
Based on the fact that all 5 previous reviews gave it 5 stars we decided to give it try. Its an older " motel " that has been refurbished. Now I understand why there isn't a photo posted on tripadvisors listing. The word "Inn" made me expect more. The rooms were OK and I have no major complaints for what... more
We really enjoyed our stay at the Blackstone Inn. The room was nicely decorated and had a quaint & romantic feel to it. The staff was friendly, the rates were reasonable and the location was perfect for us - close to all the attractions, but set back enough to have a very quiet ambiance to it. We will definitely stay... more
The Blackstone Inn, was a very nice romantic whirlpool room. They have an outdoor pool and it's within walking distance to downtown so you can avoid finding a parking place. The aviary is breathtaking. As are the falls, especailly at night. Sea world was OK but the extras can add up. The Lego display is very interesting, but a little... more
