Had dinner last night at the bistro before attending the amazing Johnny Cash show. I had the salmon tartare which lack flavor. The gratinée escargots with fromage de chèvre was really good. Main course was blue cheese mussels, very ordinary. The mussels were not cleaned and my boyfriend found a hair in this dish. Staff was like well it's not... plus
Very surprised
The breakfasts were excellent . Everything on the plates were fresh and not frozen. Nothing done in the Micro-Wave. The idea of getting a smoothie in a shot glass was interesting. The service was excellent and never felt rushed to finish. A very pleasant experience
This is a restaurant that is easy to find. It is in the middle of the most busy intersection in the beautifull village of Saint-Sauveur in the Laurentides. With a small terrasse in the action, this place provides a bar, standinf tables, hight and low tables. Lage windows open on the street and large televison to watch canandian HABS win... plus
I have been to this restaurant on many occasions with friends and family. Every time has been a wonderful experience whether we sat inside or on the terrace. I have tried most of the menu and was please with everything. This is a Bring Your Own Wine place and one time we forgot our wine. Didn't matter. Our meal was... plus
Disappointing. I had expectations from a 'French restaurant' to have decent food. Side dish vegetables were frozen over boiled carrots, over cooked green beans and white mushrooms. I must say that the Kangouroo was good even though it was under cooked, not as ordered. The 'ris de veau' seems to be boiled instead 'sauté'. The 'creme brulee' was just terrible,... plus
We tried this bistro for the first time, and were very satisfied. We ordered the cream of broccoli soup to start, followed by kangaroo for my husband and veal in mushroom sauce for myself. Both were excellent; a generous portion but not overwhelming. The main course was served with a lovely array of vegetables (green beans, sweet potato curls, regular... plus
We really enjoy that restaurant and we have been there more than once. They offers pastas, mussels, salmon, steak, veal etc.... Desserts are also very good.
Every meal we tried was excellent and it is also a "Bring your own wine restaurant". Very good restaurant in Saint-Sauveur, laurentians region.
Service is also excellent. Nice patio for summer.
We strongly recommend...

This was recommended to us by the host where we stayed.
The waitresses were wonderful - great sense of humor and explaned the entree selection very well. They talked my husband into a kangaroo dish (no kidding) that he thought was very good. The local mussels were fantastic. We enjoyed it and would recommend it for the ambiance, waitstaff, moderate...

Went here for our anniversary. Best to make reservations as it fills up. I had the bison (stew) it was tasty and a large portion that I couldn't possibly finish. Accompaniments of vegetable and potato were fine. DH had veal with brie...he struggled, said the brie overwhelmed the veal, it was a pretty big slice of brie. Great feature was... plus
This resto had some of the best food we've had in a long time. Ate here with another couple and the four of us all ate something different and we raved about it. Love the BYOWine and there was no corkage fee so for my wife and I having had appys, and dinner the bill was only $67 with taxes.... plus
The Bistro St-Sauveur is a nice place to try a variety of French dishes. We had deer and boar, both very nicely done, with starters of salmon tartare and snails. The latter were a bit too oily, but other than that, we had no complaints. And a very tasty Queen Elizabeth cake to end the meal!
3 of us had different meals and all were average; a romaine salad with a bit of carrots with an average dressing; mignon of boar nothing mignon about it since the meat was tough; a maigret of duck that was both over cooked and tough; bavette ordered rare served medium with very few shallots; overall OK so average; one can... plus
We had not been to this restaurant for many years and it has changed owners at least once since our last visit. General impression: food was top-notch, service was excellent, and the prices very reasonable. First off its BYOW. We both ordered table d'hôte: boar and deer were both excellent. Accompanying vegetables were plentiful and interesting. Carrots, but also fennel... plus
Not sure why the entry for this restaurant is not just Bistro St. Sauveur. And why the name is followed by Enr.? This restaurant is not to be confused with Restaurant St. Sauveur which is on the same side of the rue Principale but on the corner with rue de la Gare. The latter restaurant is really bad and a... plus
The best escargots we've ever had. I had fish, it was super. I had creme brulée, again fantastic. The only dish that wasn't it's best was the boar. It was tough but tasty. The service by the owner was terrific. And BTW it's a BYOW. Less than $80 fot 2 people. A must on your next visit to St. Sauveur.
Had an ok experience at the Bistro in St-Sauveur. The boar was fantastic but the salad was something you'd expect at a school cafeteria and the crème brûlée was just ok. Good thing I had brought very good wine! As with all restaurants in St-Sauveur, you should definitely make reservations... plus
The restaurant was full (possibly because we can bring our own wine); customers were packed closely together, ruling out intimate dining… The service was friendly if not efficient: we were not asked if the meals were OK, nor if we wanted a dessert or coffee. The food was very average with all the plates looking the same but with very... plus
A large group of colleagues and I went to the Bistro last night and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The server was lovely, nice, informed us immediately of the changes to the menu and in regards to payment methods, although that was included in the menu.
The food I had was great. The salmon tartar was delightful and my first tartar...

Food and service were amazing. Great French cuisine and the restaurant allows you to bring your own wine that it's always a great bonus.
Like all the bars on the popular streets of St-Sauveur, it is way too expensive for the quality of food, which is mainly fast-food. Service is not very good either. There IS a nice terrasse though, but way too much biker noise in the summer.
Restaurant Bistro St-Sauveur offers these services: coffee, terrasse, cafe, terrace, restaurant, cafe terrace.
